The Outer Ring Road (ORR), officially renamed as Dr. Puneeth Rajkumar Ring Road, is a ring road that runs around most of the perimeter of the city of Bangalore, Karnataka, India. This 60-kilometre-long (37 mi) road was developed by the Bangalore Development Authority and different sections were opened progressively between 1996 and 2002. IT firms on the Outer Ring Road generate revenue of US$ 22 billion every year, accounting for 32% of Bengaluru’s total IT revenue.The Outer Ring Road connects all major highways around the city – Tumakuru Road (NH 48), Airport Road (NH 44), Old Madras Road (NH 75), Hosur Road (NH 44), Bannerghatta Road (SH 87), Kanakapura Road (NH 948), Mysuru Road (NH 275) and Magadi Road (SH 85). It passes through major neighborhoods and suburbs such as Hebbala, Banaswadi, Krishnarajapuram, Mahadevapuram, Marathahalli, HSR Layout, Madiwala, BTM Layout, JP Nagar, Banashankari, Kengeri, Bangalore University, Nagarbhavi, Nandini Layout, Kengeri Satellite Town and Gokula. Initially conceived to keep the truck traffic out of downtown Bangalore, the city has outgrown the Outer Ring Road. Nandi Infrastructure Corporation Limited has almost completed another partial ring road around Bangalore as a part of the Bangalore–Mysore Infrastructure Corridor (BMIC) project. The BDA and BMRDA have planned three more ring roads beyond the existing ring road. The first of these, the Peripheral Ring Road (PRR) will run a few kilometres beyond the BMIC-PRR. The second and third of these will be known as the Intermediate Ring Road (IRR) and the Satellite Towns Ring Road (STRR) respectively.

The Bruhat Bengaluru Mahanagara Palike (BBMP) has constructed several borewells in Bellandur in attempt to mitigate the water shortage.

Kaikondrahalli inscriptions and hero stores are relics more than 1,000 years old found in Kaikondrahalli, a locality in Bengaluru, India. The locality houses a 10th-century (dated paleographically) Herostone with a Kannada Inscription of the Western Gangas. The inscription records the demise of an Erayenga Vadaraga during a raid aimed at destroying his village, Kannili, where he worked as a servant of Ereyamma, the Gavunda of Kannili. This relic was commissioned by Marasingha Vadaraga, son of Erayenga Vadaraga to honor his father's memory.

Bellandur Lake is a lake in the suburb of Bellandur in the southeast of the city of Bengaluru and is the largest lake in the city. It was used for landing amphibious aircraft during British rule. It is a part of Bellandur drainage system that drains the southern and the south-eastern parts of the city. The lake is a receptor from three chains of lakes upstream, and has a catchment area of about 148 square kilometres (37,000 acres). Water from this lake flows further east to the Varthur Lake, from where it flows down the plateau and eventually into the Pinakani river basin.It is currently highly polluted with sewage, and in May 2015 the foam covering the water surface caught fire and burned for hours making international headlines. The lake has since caught fire multiple times including in January 2018, and March 2021.

HAL Airport (IATA: HAL128, ICAO: VOBG) is an airport that serves Bangalore, the capital of the Indian state of Karnataka. Located about 12 km east of the city centre, it has one runway and operates 24/7. Hindustan Aeronautics Limited (HAL), a state-owned defence company, owns the airfield and runs a testing facility in conjunction with the Indian Armed Forces. The airport also caters to non-scheduled civilian traffic, including general, business and VIP aviation. For over 60 years, it received all domestic and international flights to the city; the Airports Authority of India shut down its civil enclave, officially known as Bangalore International Airport, upon the opening of a new airport in Devanahalli in 2008. The airport commenced operations in January 1941 as the home of India's first aircraft factory, established by the company Hindustan Aircraft. The Allies employed the airfield during the Second World War, and by 1946 commercial flights had begun. Activity at the airport grew gradually over the next several decades until the 1990s, when it started to increase rapidly in parallel to Bangalore's economic expansion. In response, the airport underwent a series of expansions and upgrades. Meanwhile, HAL declared it wanted the airport completely to itself, resulting in the planning of another airfield to replace the civil enclave. Although HAL later modified its stance and some residents of the city protested, an agreement between the new airport's operator and the state and national governments obligated the enclave to close. Consequently, airlines moved to the Devanahalli airport on the night of 23-24 May 2008.

Marathahalli is an eastern suburb of Bangalore city in Karnataka state of India. The locality is named after the Marut fighter aircraft developed at a HAL facility nearby.

NAL Wind Tunnel Road, expanded as National Aerospace Laboratories Wind Tunnel Road, is a road in the Murugeshpalya locality of Bangalore. It was called Challaghatta Road, a name that still persists in local use, before it was renamed. It links HAL Airport Road with Bellandur. HAL Airport Road branches into Wind Tunnel Road at a traffic light junction.
