Calliaghstown Well, also called St. Columbkille's Well, is a holy well and National Monument located in County Meath, Ireland.

Dardistown Castle is a castle and country house situated in parkland near Julianstown in County Meath, Ireland a few miles south of Drogheda. The medieval castle itself is a large four-storey medieval tower house to which a Victorian residential frontage has been added. The tower is square with sides about 44 feet long and 50 feet high, with a turret at each corner. The ground floor contains the main room with vaulted smaller rooms in three of the four turrets. The fourth turret contains an anti-clockwise spiral staircase. All the upper floors have wooden ceilings and fireplaces in each main room. The corner turrets are higher than the rest of the tower and have a small flight of stairs leading to the turret roof. The staircase turret leads to a parapet walk.The residential extensions were added around 1750 with the addition of a front hall, drawing room and dining room, to which upper floors were later added. Other extensions were added around 1800 and the frontage was built in 1860.

Beamore or Bey More (Irish: Béibeac Mór) in County Meath is a townland which lies just south of Drogheda in Ireland. Together with the nearby townland of Bryanstown, Beamore forms part of the southern suburbs of Drogheda (which lies across the county bounds in County Louth).The remains of a 13th-century monastic settlement and farm, known as Beaubec Monastery, are located in the area.The townland has an area of approximately 1.2 square miles (3.1 km2), and had a population of 210 people as of the 2011 census.

Clonalvy (Irish: Cluain Ailbhe) is a civil parish in County Meath, Ireland. The name Clonalvy is derived from the Irish language cluain (or clon) meaning 'meadow' and Áilbhe (or Áilbhe) referring to a person or place. It is taken to mean Ailbhe's Meadow but could also refer to the Meadow of the Ailbine River (now Delvin River). There are several variations of the spelling of Clonalvy, including Clonolvy, Clonalvey, Cluain Ailbhe. According to the Placenames Database of Ireland, Clonalvy is "just beside Fourknocks, seems a most likely location for the famous Lia Ailbhe, the standing stone described in AN as 'the chief monument of Brega' (príomh-dindgnai Maighi Bregh) in 999, when it fell and was made into four millstones by Máelaschlainn the high king".Clonalvy's church was dedicated to St John the Baptist with its feast day falling on 24 June. This followed the practice of the Norman settlement, moving the church from the traditional Celtic system. The tithe of the Church and Parish being directed to the Canons of Llananthony (prima and secunda) Wales from 1172 to 1541. The Norman church now lies in ruins in the townland of Flemingtown. The area has a small school, a pub and a shop.

Silverstream Priory is a Roman Catholic monastery in Stamullen, County Meath, Ireland, founded in 2012. The monastery is an autonomous diocesan priory of the Benedictine Monks of Perpetual Adoration. Mark Daniel Kirby (b. 1952) is the founder and was the first superior of the priory until his resignation in 2020. As of March 2023, Fr. Basil Mary McCabe was its prior.

Wolfe Tones GFC is a Gaelic Football club from Drogheda, County Louth, Ireland. It serves the residents of St Mary's Parish in south Drogheda and fields Gaelic football teams in competitions organised by Louth GAA. One of the oldest GAA clubs in Louth, Wolfe Tones play gaelic football at all age levels from nursery to adult. The Tones' home ground is situated on Platin Road, beside the Boyne Valley Foods factory. The club's colours are royal blue and yellow.

Duleek (; Irish: Damhliag, meaning 'stone house or church') is a small town in County Meath, Ireland. Duleek takes its name from the Irish word daimh liag, meaning house of stones and referring to an early stone-built church, St Cianán's Church, the ruins of which are still visible in Duleek today. As per the 2022 census, the population of Duleek reached 4,899, a two-fold increase since 2002.The town is 8 km south-west of Drogheda, and 35 km north of Dublin city centre.

The siege of Drogheda took place from 3 to 11 September 1649, at the outset of the Cromwellian conquest of Ireland. The coastal town of Drogheda was held by a mixed garrison of Irish Catholics and Royalists under the command of Sir Arthur Aston, when it was besieged by English Commonwealth forces under Oliver Cromwell. After Aston rejected an invitation to surrender, the town was stormed and much of the garrison executed, along with an unknown but "significant number" of civilians. The aftermath of the siege is viewed as an atrocity which still impacts Cromwell's modern reputation.
