Jatrabari Ideal High School, is a secondary school located in Jatrabari Thana, Dhaka, Bangladesh. It was founded in 1998 by MP Alhaz Salauddin Ahammed as a Bangla Medium School.

The Rose Garden Palace is a mansion and garden in Old Dhaka, Bangladesh. Built in the late 19th century, it became birthplace of the Awami League in 1949, when East Bengali liberal and social democrats converged in Dhaka to form an alternative political force against the Muslim League in Pakistan. The property is situated on K.M. Das Lane in Tikatully area of Old Dhaka, near the modern business district of Motijheel and near the Baldha Garden in Gopibug area of Dhaka. The mansion was built by a Hindu lower caste zamidar (landlord) Hrishikesh Das. He lived in the mansion for a decade. In 1927, he became bankrupt and sold the mansion to another zamidar Boshuruddin Sarkar of Nabinagar under Brahmanbaria district. Later the mansion was sold to a businessman by the family of Boshuruddin Sarkar after his death. The government has revealed plans to turn the location into a museum and now in 2020, it is closed till further notice.

Jatrabari Police Station is a police precinct under the jurisdiction of the Dhaka Metropolitan Police located in the southern part of Dhaka, Bangladesh. It is responsible for maintaining law and order, crime prevention, and traffic management within the densely populated areas around Jatrabari. The station was heavily damaged in attacks following the fall of the Sheikh Hasina-led Awami League government.

Central Women's University is one of the first private university in Bangladesh, established in 1993. It was the first university in Bangladesh established exclusively for the purpose of female education. Beggzadi Mahmuda Nasir served as the founding vice-chancellor of the university until 1999.Following mismanagement on the part of the original governing body, it was one of the eight universities the University Grants Commission of Bangladesh recommended for shutting down due to poor quality of academic standards. The university was also served with show-cause notice by judicial authorities asking why it would not be closed down.As of August, 2010, the university received legal permission from the court to continue its educational activities under a new governing body and with new academic faculty and expanded academic offerings.It is the first university in Bangladesh to run all student and staff computers on Linux software.
