Balkh University (Persian: دانشگاه بلخ; Pashto: د بلخ پوهنتون) is a public university located in Mazar-i-Sharif, capital of Balkh Province in northern Afghanistan. Established in 1986, the university has about 18,000 students and is the third-largest in Afghanistan after Kabul University and Nangarhar University. Faculties include medicine, engineering, economics, journalism, literature, law and science.Printing and publishing scientific journal entitled “Balkh Scientific Journal” and “Marafat” which in both of them publish the works and research of lecturers. Balkh University has monthly outlook (News paper, of cultural and analysis of Balkh University) and Balkh Journalistic monthly newspaper (Department of Journalism outlook. The students have access to the university's library. Furthermore, the university has dedicated facilities for sports, physical education and sporting events.As part of its contributions to the rebuilding of Afghanistan, the government of Pakistan expanded the university by adding the Liaquat Ali Khan Faculty of Engineering, a 10 million dollar separate block, completed in 2012.

The University of Tehran (Tehran University or UT, Persian: دانشگاه تهران) is the oldest and most prominent Iranian university located in Tehran, Iran. Based on its historical, socio-cultural, and political pedigree, as well as its research and teaching profile, UT has been nicknamed "The Mother University [of Iran]" (Persian: دانشگاه مادر). In international rankings, UT has been ranked as one of the best universities in the Middle East and is among the top universities of the world. It is also the premier knowledge producing institute among all OIC countries. Tehran University of Medical Sciences is in the 7th ranking of the Islamic World University Ranking in 2021. The university offers more than 111 bachelor's degree programs, 177 master's degree programs, and 156 PhD. programs. Many of the departments were absorbed into the University of Tehran from the Dar al-Funun established in 1851 and the Tehran School of Political Sciences established in 1899. The main campus of the university is located in the central part of the city. However, other campuses are spread across the city as well as in the suburbs such as the Baghe Negarestan Campus at the central eastern part of the city, the Northern Amirabad Campuses at the central western part of the city and the Abureyhan Campus in the suburb of the capital. The main gate of the university with its specific design and modern architecture (at Enghelab Street at the main campus) is the logo of the university and in a more general sense, a logo of education in Iran. The university is one of the city's attractions, hosting many international and cultural events attracting academia, foreign tourists as well as local residents. The major festive of Friday Prayers of the capital is held at the university's main campus every Friday. Admission to the university's renowned undergraduate and graduate programs is very competitive and is limited to the top one percent of students who pass the national entrance examination administered yearly by the Ministry of Science, Research and Technology.

College of Fine Arts, previously known as the Faculty of Fine Arts, is one of the campuses of University of Tehran where various art disciplines are taught. This faculty is one of the oldest art higher education centers in Iran.People like André Godard, Mohsen Foroughi, Hooshang Seyhoun, Mohammad-Reza Lotfi were among the heads of this faculty.

Central library and documents center of University of Tehran is the biggest academic library in Iran. It was built in 1350.

Tehran University of Medical Sciences (TUMS) (Persian: دانشگاه علوم پزشکی تهران, Danushgah-e 'lum Pezeshki-ye Tehran) is the largest and most highly ranked medical university of Iran. In September 2008, Iran's Minister of Health, Treatment, and Medical Education, Dr. Lankarani, called TUMS a pioneer in research throughout the country with a noticeable lead over its peer universities.Located in Tehran adjacent to the main University of Tehran campus, it was founded as part of Dar ol-Fonoon in 1851, and later absorbed into the University of Tehran in 1934. It finally separated from University of Tehran by parliamentary legislation in 1986, coming under the new Ministry of Health, Treatment, and Medical Education. TUMS is ranked as one of Iran's top research universities, with an annual research budget of over 300 billion Rials from the government. The school trains over 13,000 students (40% of whom are women) in approximately 290 undergraduate, graduate and non-degree (short-course) programs. The university has 11 schools, operates 16 teaching hospitals, is equipped with over 44 libraries, and publishes 58 journals, some in collaboration with academic societies.The university operates The National Museum of Medical Sciences History as well. TUMS is accredited with Premier Status by Accreditation Service for International Colleges and Universities (ASIC UK)

Keshavarz Boulevard (Blvd.) (Persian: بلوار کشاورز Bolvār e Keshāvarz) or simply Bolvār (the Boulevard) is a central Boulevard in Tehran, Iran. It is a 2.2km long, East-West boulevard which connects Valiasr Street and Valiasr Sq. to Imam Khomeini Hospital Complex and is located in District 6 of Tehran. This boulevard was named "Elizabeth Boulevard" after Queen Elizabeth II visit to Iran during the former regime of Iran, Pahlavi dynasty. However, after the 1979 Revolution, it was renamed Keshavarz (meaning "farmer" in Persian) Boulevard, as the main building of the Ministry of Agriculture of Iran was located close to this boulevard. There are many buildings, organizations and offices all along the boulevard including various banks, hotels, hospitals as well as the Ministry of Agriculture building, and University of Tehran. Laleh Park which is one of the biggest parks in Tehran is also bordering the boulevard.

The Ministry of Agriculture Jihad (Persian: وزارت جهاد کشاورزی Vezārat-e Jahād-e Keshāvarzī) is an Iranian government body established in 2001 responsible for the oversight of Agriculture in Iran. The ministry has been called Jihad of Construction but it was merged with agriculture ministry in 2001 to form the Ministry of Agricultural Jihad.

Enqelab Square (Persian: میدان انقلاب اسلامی Meydân-e Enqelâb-e Eslâmi; “Islamic Revolution Square”) is an important square in central Tehran, Iran. It is served by a Metro station of the same name. It sits at the western end of Enqelab Street.

Zargarian Synagogue is a synagogue located in the Amir Abad neighborhood of Tehran.

Tehran House of Volleyball is a volleyball arena located in Tehran, Iran.This arena has a capacity of 1,500 and is located on Hejab Street. This arena hosts games of Tehran-based teams in the Iranian Volleyball League.

Enghelab Metro Station is a station of Tehran Metro Line 4. It is located in Enghelab Square, the junctions of Azadi Street, Enqelab Street and Kargar Street. It is between Teatr-e Shahr Metro Station and Tohid Metro Station.
