Incident at Clovelly Cottage, also known as Incident Outside Clovelly Cottage, Barnet, shot by Birt Acres and produced by Acres and his collaborator Robert W. Paul in March 1895, was the "first successful motion picture film made in Britain".

Queen Elizabeth's Girls' School is a high performing non-selective girls' school with academy status for ages 11 to 18, in Barnet, London, England.In the academic year 2016/17 it was ranked in the top 1.3 per cent of all secondary schools (including selective schools) in England by the Department for Education. It is the top performing non-selective all-girls comprehensive in the country and is placed 47th on the national league table. It is praised by the 2017 Good Schools Guide, as a "relaxed, safe and friendly place, with “a firm hand on the tiller and rocketing results.”

The Red Lion is a grade II listed public house in the High Street, Chipping Barnet, London.The pub dates from the 15th century and was one of the coaching inns for which Chipping Barnet was famous. It lies on the Great North Road, of which High Street, Chipping Barnet, forms a part. By 1817, 150 coaches a day were passing through the town. It became the Red Lion Hotel and, in the 20th century, the Felix and Firkin pub before reverting to The Red Lion. The pub was rebuilt in 1930 by the Meux Brewery to the designs of their in-house architect, William Foster.

The Susi Earnshaw Theatre School is a full-time private school specialising in academics and performing arts in Barnet, North London. The school was established in 1989 by former actress and journalist Susi Earnshaw and her husband David Earnshaw, who was a producer, touring and session musician. The school was founded in 1989 as a part-time performing-arts school, before becoming a full-time academic and performing arts secondary educational establishment. The Bull Theatre in Barnet is now home to the full-time school and its Saturday School, along with the long established Susi Earnshaw Management television, film, theatre, and live entertainment agency. Pupils gain entry to the full-time school through auditions in drama, dance, singing, and a personal interview.

King George's Fields is a 28 hectare Site of Borough Importance for Nature Conservation, Grade II, in Monken Hadley in the London Borough of Barnet.It is one of many King George's Fields all over the country, established as memorials, following the death of King George V in 1936. The King George's Fields Foundation was established to give grants for the establishment of playing fields, the work of the foundation is now undertaken by charity Fields in Trust. King George's Fields (Monken Hadley) has been legally protected since July 1955.

St John the Baptist Church is the Church of England parish church of Chipping Barnet. It forms part of the Chipping Barnet Team Ministry, comprising St Mark's, Barnet Vale, St Peter's, Arkley and St Stephen's, Bell's Hill. It crowns the ascent up Barnet Hill, and stands at the junction of Wood Street and High Street. It is one of the few Anglican churches in Greater London to belong to the Diocese of St Albans.

Tudor Hall in Wood Street, Chipping Barnet, is the original site of Queen Elizabeth's School, Barnet. It was built around 1577 following the granting of a charter for the school by Queen Elizabeth I in 1573 and is a grade II listed building with Historic England.

The Mitre Inn is a public house at 58 High Street, Chipping Barnet, London. It was established by 1633 and is probably the oldest remaining of the town's once numerous coaching inns. It is a grade II listed building with Historic England and is currently styled "Ye Olde Mitre Inne".

The Chipping Barnet War Memorial is located immediately west of St John the Baptist Church in Wood Street, Chipping Barnet, Greater London. It commemorates the men of the district who died in the first and second World Wars and is in the form of an octagonal base below a pedestal surmounted by a tapering column with a Celtic cross head. The cross is intersected by a corona in a flattened octagonal section. It was unveiled by Lord Byng of Vimy in April 1921. Byng was born at nearby Wrotham Park in Hertfordshire.

High Barnet is a London Underground station, and former railway station, located in Chipping Barnet, North London. The station is the terminus of the High Barnet branch of the Northern line and is in Travelcard Zone 5. It is the northernmost station on the Northern line and is situated 10.2 miles (16.4 km) north north-west of Charing Cross. The next station south is Totteridge & Whetstone.

Church House is a building located in High Barnet (also known as Chipping Barnet) and is a venue for a variety of different community activities and functions. Church House is also the name of the charity that operates the building as a not-for-profit. The building was first opened in 1907, and has been operating as a charity since 1920.

Hadley is a district of the London Borough of Barnet between Chipping Barnet in the south and Monken Hadley in the north. It was formerly a civil parish of Barnet Urban District. Hadley includes Hadley Green which is bisected by the Great North Road and includes Hadley Green Road, and a number of grade II listed houses on the east side such as Ossulston House and The Grange.Hadley manor house stood on the eastern side of Hadley Green Road. It was purchased in 1890 by the milliners Rhoda Wyburn and her sister Emily from Julia Hyde, widow of Henry Hyde of Ely Place, Holborn. It was destroyed by fire in the early 1930s and the site purchased by East Barnet council in 1934 on Rhoda's death. The house was demolished in 1935. At about the same time, Rhoda gave to the public the land known as Hadley Manor Fields to the rear of the manor house which was combined with purchases from adjacent estates such as the Hadley Hurst Estate and Gladsmuir Estate to form King George's Fields which were created to mark the jubilee of King George V. Nothing remains of the manor house today and the site is used as the western entrance to King George's Fields.
