Mahalasa Narayani Temple is a Hindu temple to the goddess Mahalasa, located in Mardol, Ponda, in the Indian state of Goa.

Shri Manguesh temple (Devanagari: श्री मंगेश मंदीर) is located at Mangeshi Village in Priol, Ponda taluk, Goa. It is at a distance of 1 km from Mardol close to Nagueshi, 21 km from Panaji the capital of Goa, and 26 km from Margao. Shree Mangueshi is the Kuldeva (family deity) of Saraswat Brahmins and other gotras. Shrimad Swamiji of Shri Kavale Math is Spiritual chief Of Shri Manguesh Saunsthan, Mangueshi. This temple is one of the largest and most frequently visited temples in Goa. In 2011, the temple along with others in the area instituted a dress code on visitors of the temple.

Mardol is a census town in Ponda taluka, North Goa district in the state of Goa, India.The Marathi and Portuguese languages radio playwright and short-story writer Ananta Rau Sar Dessai lived and practiced medicine in Mardol. Mardol is a fast-growing town in Goa. Mardol and Mangueshi are twin towns. The late Vasantrao Velingkar, the first MLA of Marcaim, who sacrificed his post for Dayanand Bandodkar, who became Chief Minister, lived in Mardol. Mardol has a football team playing in the Third Division in Goa.

Goa Engineering College or Goa College of Engineering (abbreviated and colloquially referred to as GEC) is a public college in Goa, India, offering courses in engineering disciplines and affiliated to Goa University. Founded in 1967 and situated at Farmagudi plateau, Ponda, it is the oldest engineering college in Goa, with over 2,200 students.

Indian Institute of Technology Goa (IIT Goa) is an autonomous public university located in Goa. Ever since an IIT was allotted to Goa by the Central government in 2014, the new Indian Institute of Technology (IIT) at Goa started functioning from July, 2016 in a temporary campus housed at Goa Engineering College (GEC). The campus is located at Farmagudi, Goa. Currently, it offers BTech, MTech and PhD courses in various core and one non-core branches majorly in Electrical Engineering, Computer Science and Engineering, Mechanical Engineering and Mathematics and Computing. As part of the mentorship plan, IIT-Bombay was the mentor for IIT-Goa for three pioneer years. The HRD Ministry had set up an IIT monitoring cell at IIT-Bombay and the committee members had been designated as officials on special duty to supervise the process of setting up IIT-Goa.

Marcaim or Madkai is a census town in Ponda taluka, North Goa district in the state of Goa, India. A number of its residents have the last name, Kamat, and belong to the Goud Saraswat Brahmin community. It is famous for is Navdurga temple, where the idol of the goddess has a tilted head, which holds an annual festival called a "Zatra" around November (Actually the Kartik Shukla Paksha Asthami day every year). The temple is also infamous for an ongoing legal suit filed in the Goa Bench of the Bombay High Court by the Mahajans (temple trustees) accusing members of Devi Navadurga Pratishtan (villagers) of taking articles from temple and shifting them from one place to another.

Priol is a village in central Goa, in western India. It is situated in Ponda Taluka, north of the city of Ponda. The Mangueshi Temple is located northwest of the village. From Mardol, Priol is around 2 km, Mardol is on Panaji-Ponda highway. It is 7 km from Ponda or 22 km from Panaji. The famous Kelekar family is from Priol and their famous ancestral KELEKAR HOUSE is located near Betal Temple. Another Kelekar House is situated at Nagar near Village Panchayat, which was constructed in the year 1937 by father of writer, Ravindra Kelekar.

Farmagudi is a suburb of Ponda town in Goa, India. It falls under the jurisdiction of the Ponda taluka. Situated on a plateau, it is located 3 km away from the main Ponda City, on the way towards Panjim. Farmagudi is home to several educational institutions, including the (GVM's) Higher Secondary School, GVM's College of Commerce & Economics, Ponda Education Society's Higher Secondary School, and the Goa Engineering College, National Institute of Technology Goa, and IIT Goa.The famous Gopal Ganapati Temple and the Shivaji Fort is also located here along the road to Panaji.
