The Thomas J. Moyer Ohio Judicial Center is a state courthouse, office building, and library in Columbus, Ohio, in the city's downtown Civic Center. The building is the headquarters of the Supreme Court of Ohio, the state's highest court, as well as the Ohio Court of Claims and Ohio Judicial Conference. The judicial center is named after the court's former chief justice Thomas J. Moyer. The building was designed by Harry Hake in the Art Deco style. It was built from 1930 to 1933, known as the Ohio Departments Building, as it first housed Ohio state departments. The building was added to the National Register of Historic Places in 1990. Beginning in 2001, an extensive renovation restored the building, and set it up to be used for the Supreme Court of Ohio. The building reopened in 2004, marking the first time the court was established in a building solely for the judiciary, and the first time the building was open to the public.

The Supreme Court of the State of Ohio is the highest court in the U.S. state of Ohio, with final authority over interpretations of Ohio law and the Ohio Constitution. The court has seven members, a chief justice and six associate justices, who are elected at large by the voters of Ohio for six-year terms. The court has a total of 1,550 other employees. Since 2004, the court has met in the Thomas J. Moyer Ohio Judicial Center (formerly known as the Ohio Departments Building) on the east bank of the Scioto River in Downtown Columbus. Prior to 2004, the court met in the James A. Rhodes State Office Tower and earlier in the Judiciary Annex (now the Senate Building) of the Ohio Statehouse. The Ohio Supreme Court and the rest of the judiciary is established and authorized within Article IV of the Ohio Constitution.

The Columbus City Prison was a municipal prison in Downtown Columbus, Ohio. The building was constructed in 1879 in a castle-like style, designed by architect George H. Maetzel. The building served as a prison and headquarters of the Columbus Police Department until a fire demolished the structure in 1920.

The Scioto Mile Promenade, also known simply as the Promenade, is a public park and promenade in downtown Columbus, Ohio. The park is part of the Scioto Mile network of parks and trails around the city's downtown area, and has a riverwalk stretching along the east bank of the Scioto River, from Battelle Riverfront Park to Bicentennial Park. The promenade has a multi-use trail, part of the Scioto Greenway Trail, used by bicyclists, pedestrians and runners.

Smart Columbus is an innovation organization in Columbus, Ohio. The initiative is led by the City of Columbus and the Columbus Partnership, a nonprofit organization for development in Central Ohio. Smart Columbus was founded in 2016 to utilize $50 million in grant awards toward technology, transportation, and environmental developments.

The Lazarus Building is a commercial building in Downtown Columbus, Ohio. It was the flagship store of the F&R Lazarus & Company, a department store founded nearby in 1851. The building, completed in 1909, housed the Lazarus department store until 2004, one year before its brand was retired. The building currently houses numerous state and county offices, the Ohio State University Urban Arts Space, and restaurants and a bank branch in its storefronts on High Street.

The Vern Riffe State Office Tower is a 503 ft-tall (153 m) skyscraper on Capitol Square in downtown Columbus, Ohio. It was completed in 1988 and has 32 floors. NBBJ designed the building, which is the fifth-tallest in Columbus, and has 102,192 m² of floor area. An earlier concept for the site, also designed by NBBJ, would have included a site to the west of the present location, and would have effectively closed off South Wall Street north of West State Street. The building was named for Vernal G. Riffe, Jr, who served as Speaker of the Ohio House of Representatives from 1975 to 1994. The complex also contains the 854-seat Capitol Theatre. The project was completed for $130 million.The working office of Ohio Governor Mike DeWine is located on the building's 30th floor.

109–111 South High Street is a commercial building on South High Street in Downtown Columbus, Ohio. The building was built in a commercial district that has housed numerous businesses. The current building was constructed c. 1938 for a Woolworth's five-and-dime store, which operated until 1997. After six years of vacancy, the building housed a CVS pharmacy, from 2003 to 2022.

The Scioto Mile is a collection of parks and trails along both banks of the Scioto River in Columbus, Ohio, connecting parts of the Scioto Greenway Trail with downtown Columbus and Franklinton. The nine parks cover 145 acres (59 ha).

The National Exchange Bank building is a historic building on Capitol Square in Downtown Columbus, Ohio. The building, at 1 W. State St., was constructed in the 1860s as a bank, making it one of the oldest commercial buildings on Capitol Square. Today the building houses a branch of Heartland Bank.The original bank in the building, the National Exchange Bank of Columbus, was the second national bank organized in the city, established in December 1864. The bank was the only U.S. depository in the city. Its president was William G. Deshler. The bank was liquidated in 1892 and was absorbed by the Deshler National Bank, which was at the site of the Deshler Hotel.

The Ohio National Bank is a historic building in Downtown Columbus, Ohio. The Neoclassical building was designed by Richards, McCarty & Bulford, built in 1912, and largely remains as built. It was a long-term location for the Ohio National Bank. It was listed on the National Register of Historic Places in 1980, noted as one of the most significant examples of Greek Doric classical ornamentation in Columbus, with refined details throughout the building.

The Neil House was a historic hotel on High Street in Downtown Columbus, Ohio. The hotel operated on Capitol Square from 1842 to 1980.
