Valle Verde Early College High School is a high school located in El Paso, Texas. Students graduate from high school with both a high school diploma and an associate degree from El Paso Community College. As an early college high school, VVECHS is a school that boasts students of a high academic rigor, who are chosen to be best suited for the task of taking high school and college courses in tandem.

KHEY (1380 kHz) is a Fox Sports Radio AM affiliate in the El Paso, Texas, United States, area. The station is owned by iHeartMedia, Inc. The station is licensed to broadcast in HD radio, but does not currently broadcast in HD.Historically, KHEY was one of several country music stations in the El Paso, Texas market, and was the last AM station in the market to keep its country format. The station was assigned a frequency of 690 AM, owner Clear Channel Communications swapped frequencies with station KTSM in 2000.

KELP (1590 kHz) is an American AM radio station licensed to serve the community of El Paso, Texas, United States. The station broadcasts a Christian radio format to the greater El Paso metropolitan area. The station is currently owned by McClatchey Broadcasting. KELP airs a mix of local and syndicated programming, including several shows from the Moody Bible Institute. The station was known as KINT until May 7, 1979, when it became KKOL. In the early 1980s it switched to the KELP call sign. According to FCC records, the station was ordered off the air on July 12, 2006, due to an untimely filing of its license renewal. KELP noted that it had filed an application before the deadline, but admitted to not paying the renewal fee. It filed a new application with the application fee on that date. It had also sought special temporary authorizations to remain on-air, which it received. On February 15, 2008, the FCC granted KELP's license renewal.

The Border Environment Cooperation Commission (BECC) headquartered in Ciudad Juarez, Chihuahua, Mexico, is a binational organization created in 1994 by the Federal Governments of the United States of America and Mexico under a side-agreement to the North American Free Trade Agreement (NAFTA). BECC along with its sister-institution the North American Development Bank (NADB), established by the same agreement and headquartered in San Antonio, Texas, USA, are charged with helping to improve the environmental conditions of the Mexico–United States border region in order to advance the well-being of residents in both nations. The scope of their mandate and the specific functions of each institution are defined in the agreement between the two governments (the "Charter"), as amended in August 2004.

Bel Air High School is a high school in the city of El Paso, Texas, United States. The school was established in 1957. It houses Bel Air Middle School, with transfers from Eastwood as well as other local middle schools. Its Health Professions Branch offers the most transfers, closely followed by the Global Enterprises program. Bel Air High School placed 984th on Newsweek's list of the nation's top high schools based on rankings influenced heavily by the number of students who took Advanced Placement tests the previous year. In 2013 Texas UIL changed the areas from 4A-5A to a 5A-6A divisions causing Bel Air High School to remain behind in the 5A division due to the lack of student population.

Del Sol Medical Center (Del Sol) is a tertiary care hospital located in El Paso, Texas and is owned and operated by HCA Healthcare. The hospital was founded in 1974 and is licensed as a Level II trauma center. The hospital has 350 beds and is located in the Eastside area of the city.Del Sol is affiliated with Las Palmas Medical Center and is part of the Las Palmas Del Sol Healthcare System. Del Sol is the only full-service, acute-care hospital in East El Paso.The medical center offers cardiovascular, emergency, neuroscience, oncology, orthopedic, rehabilitation, surgery, intensive care, wound care, laboratory, and radiologic/imaging services.

Alicia R. Chacón International School (Spanish: Escuela Internacional Alicia R. Chacón) is a K–8 school in El Paso, Texas. It is operated by the Ysleta Independent School District. Chacón has a two way bilingual education program that is intended to teach Spanish-speaking students English and English-speaking students Spanish. Students may also take a third language; available third languages are Chinese, German, Japanese, French, and Russian. The bilingual education program was developed to encourage speakers of one language to retain their language and to also learn a second language at the same time. This differs from other bilingual programs in Texas, where non-English speaking students are expected to learn solely in English once they achieve a certain competency in English. As of 2009 Chacón has long waiting lists of students. Nate Blakeslee of Texas Monthly argued that other Texas school districts should use Chacón's bilingual program.

Patriot Stadium is a soccer-specific stadium located in El Paso, Texas. It was the home stadium of the PDL club, Chivas El Paso Patriots. The stadium replaced Dudley Field. Its capacity is about 3,000.

Senecú (Senecú del Sur, San Antonio de Senecú) is a small Mexican village, now on the outskirts of Ciudad Juárez, Chihuahua. It is at an altitude of 1,123 m. and lies within the Chihuahuan Desert ecosystem. Senecú del Sur was founded in 1682 by Piro Indians from Senecú, New Mexico, who fled south along with the Spanish after the Pueblo Revolt. There is evidence that some Tompiro joined the pueblo. Originally it was located on the north side of the Rio Grande, with its mission church (located approximately two miles west-northwest of the Ysleta, Texas mission. This close proximity resulted in repeated disputes over the boundary between the two pueblos. In 1832 there was severe flooding and due to the meanderings of the Rio Grande much of the village was destroyed. Further losses to the river occurred and after the Senecú Pueblo was not recognized by the Texas legislature, and after they had lost their suit of 1871 to Ysleta, the inhabitants probably developed the same land which was now south of the river; however, the town was not formally established at its current location until 1949.As of 1901, Senecú still had "a tribal organization, with a cacique (who is also custodian of the church), a governor, a war-chief, and subordinate officials." The old church identified in 1901 is gone, replaced by a modern church. The 1910 Mexican Revolution caused some members of the community to flee across the border to Ysleta and Socorro del Sur.The Pueblo is commemorated by a stone monument on Alameda Street, in El Paso, about 1½ miles west of the Ysleta Mission.

Cielo Vista Mall is a shopping mall in El Paso, Texas, United States, owned and operated by Simon Property Group. It is located on El Paso's east side, at Interstate 10 and Hawkins Blvd., and features five anchor stores operating under four brand names, and 117 specialty stores. It is the largest of the three malls in the metro area; its former sister Simon property, Sunland Park Mall, is second.With a gross leasable area of 1,244,987 square feet (115,663 m2), the mall is classified as a super-regional mall by the International Council of Shopping Centers.

On August 3, 2019, a mass shooting occurred at a Walmart store in El Paso, Texas, United States. In the terrorist attack, a far-right individual killed 23 people and injured 23 others. The Federal Bureau of Investigation is investigating the shooting as an act of domestic terrorism and a hate crime. The shooting has been described as the deadliest attack on Latinos in modern American history since the 2016 Orlando nightclub shooting, and is the deadliest mass shooting in modern American history to conclude with a perpetrator being caught alive to face legal repercussions. It is also the second-deadliest mass shooting in Texas history, tied along with the Luby's shooting in 1991 after the Sutherland Springs church shooting in 2017. Patrick Wood Crusius, a 21-year-old from Allen, Texas, was arrested and charged with capital murder in connection with the shooting. Crusius claims to have posted a manifesto with white nationalist and anti-immigrant themes, on the imageboard 8chan shortly before the attack. The manifesto cites the Christchurch mosque shootings earlier that year, and the far-right conspiracy theory known as the Great Replacement, as inspiration for the attack. On February 8, 2023, following an announcement that the Department of Justice would not seek the death penalty, Crusius pleaded guilty to 90 federal murder and hate crime charges.
