Moscow Institute of Physics and Technology (MIPT; Russian: Московский Физико-Технический институт, also known as PhysTech), is a public research university located in Moscow Oblast, Russia. It prepares specialists in theoretical and applied physics, applied mathematics and related disciplines. The main MIPT campus is located in Dolgoprudny, a northern suburb of Moscow. However the Aeromechanics Department is based in Zhukovsky, a suburb south-east of Moscow. In international rankings, the university was ranked 44th by The Three University Missions Ranking in 2022, In 2020 and 2021, Times Higher Education ranked MIPT #201 in the world, in 2022 QS World University Ratings ranked it #290 in the world, in 2022 U.S. News & World Report ranked it #475 in the world, and in 2022 Academic Ranking of World Universities ranked it #501 in the world. As Phystech's founder, Pyotr Kapitsa, designed the institute inspired by and in accordance with the Massachusetts Institute of Technology model, Phystech is commonly hailed as the "MIT of Russia" and is considered to be the leading specialized technical institution of higher education in the former Soviet Union.

Novodachnaya is a railway station of Line D1 of the Moscow Central Diameters in Dolgoprudny, Moscow Oblast. It was opened in 1964 and rebuilt in 2020.

Dolgoprudny (Russian: Долгопру́дный, Russian pronunciation: [dəlɡɐˈprudnɨj]) is a town in Moscow Oblast, Russia, located about 20 kilometers (12 mi) north of Moscow city center. The town's name is derived from Russian "Долгий пруд" (dolgy prud, lit. "long pond")—a long and narrow pond situated in the northeastern part of the town. The town's name is sometimes colloquially shortened as Dolgopa. Population: 120,907 (2021 Census); 90,956 (2010 Census); 68,792 (2002 Census); 70,751 (1989 Census).

Fiztekh (Russian: Физтех ) is a Moscow metro station. It was opened on 7 September 2023 as the northern terminus of Lyublinsko-Dmitrovskaya line. The adjacent station is Lianozovo. As of 2023, Fiztekh is the northenmost metro station of the Moscow Metro. The station is located in Severny District of Moscow, close to Dmitrovskoye Highway. The name of the station is an abbreviation of the Moscow Institute of Physics and Technology, which campus is located about 2 kilometres (1.2 mi) from the station.

Severny District, Moscow (Russian: Се́верный райо́н) is an administrative district (raion) of North-Eastern Administrative Okrug, and one of the 125 raions of Moscow, Russia. The area of the district is 10.29 square kilometers (3.97 sq mi).

Lianozovo (Russian: Лиано́зово ) is a station on the Lyublinsko-Dmitrovskaya line of the Moscow Metro, in the Dmitrovsky District, is located between the stations Fiztekh and Yakhromskaya. The station is, along with the nearby Lianozovo railway station, a part of a transport interchange hub that also serves Line D1 of the Moscow Central Diameters.The station is designed as an enfilade, with alternating dark and light colors resembling chocolate and coffee. The floor made of light gray granite, whilst the station's ceiling, walls, and 46 columns are covered with metal panelling.The station is one of 14 Moscow Metro stations opened in 2023. Lianozovo was opened on 7 September 2023, together with adjacent stations Fiztekh and Yakhromskaya. The station's main structural elements were completed by January.

Sheremetyevsky (Russian: Шереметьевский), also known as Sheremetyevo (Russian: Шереметьево), Sheremetyevka (Russian: Шереметьевка) is currently (since 2003) a microdistrict of the city of Dolgoprudny in the Moscow Oblast, located near the Sheremetyevskaya railway station of the Savyolovsky line of the Moscow Railway. Sheremetyevo International Airport takes its name from this village, although the village is located several kilometers to the east of the airport.

The Scientific Research Institute of Steel (Russian: Научно-исследовательский институт стали), also known as NII Stali (Russian: НИИ стали), is a Russian research institute (NII) located in the capital city of Moscow. The institute occupies an area of 64,000 m2, including production areas of 40,000 m2. It is organized as a joint-stock company and was founded in 1942. The company is known for its military products, including tank armor and military helmets. Since 2023, it also produces anti-fragmentation blankets.

Lianozovo District (Russian: райо́н Лиано́зово) is an administrative district (raion), one of the seventeen in North-Eastern Administrative Okrug of the federal city of Moscow, Russia. It is located 15 km north of Moscow city center, on the south side of the Moscow Ring Road ('MKAD'). It borders with Moscow Oblast in the north, Bibirevo District in the east, Altufyevsky District in the south, and with Dmitrovsky District in the west. The area is 6.6 square kilometres (2.5 sq mi). As of the 2010 Census, the total population of the district was 79,582.

Pulkovo Aviation Enterprise Flight 9560 was a repositioning flight from Sheremetyevo International Airport in Moscow to Pulkovo Airport in St. Petersburg. On 28 July 2002, the Ilyushin Il-86 aircraft operating the flight crashed after take-off from Sheremetyevo. 14 of the 16 crew members on board (and the only occupants of the aircraft) were killed, making the crash the deadliest aviation accident involving the Ilyushin Il-86.

Moscow State Institute of Culture (Russian: Московский государственный институт культуры), formerly known as Moscow State Art and Cultural University (Russian: Московский государственный университет культуры и искусств) is a Russian university, a vocational training center in the field of culture and art, located in the Levoberezhny District, Khimki, Moscow Oblast. It is under control of the Ministry of Culture of the Russian Federation.
