Love Island is a British dating game show. It is a revival of the earlier celebrity series of the same name, which aired for two series in 2005 and 2006. The series is the originator of the international Love Island franchise, with twenty-two versions of it having been produced so far worldwide. The show is presented by Maya Jama and narrated by Iain Stirling. The show was previously hosted by both Caroline Flack and Laura Whitmore. The show has been highly successful and influential in British popular culture; it became ITV2's most watched show in the network's history in 2018, and as of 2020 was the most watched TV show among its target audience of 16- to 34-year-olds. However, it has attracted a considerable amount of controversy, with four people linked to the show having died by suicide. Contestants Sophie Gradon and Mike Thalassitis died by suicide after appearing on the programme; Gradon's boyfriend died by suicide about 20 days after her death. The following year the show's original presenter, Caroline Flack, also died by suicide. There have been calls from some to cancel the program.

The Coves dels Hams (Catalan pronunciation: [ˈkɔβəz ðəlz ˈams]; Spanish: Cuevas dels Hams; English: "Fishhook Caves") are a Solutional cave system on the east coast of the Spanish Balearic Island of Mallorca. The caves are in the municipality of Manacor, about 1 km to the west of the town of Porto Cristo.Alongside the larger Coves del Drach ("Cavern of the Dragon"), the Coves dels Hams contribute to the cavernous tourist attractions in the eastern region of the island.

Son Servera is a municipality in northeast Majorca, in the Balearic Islands, Spain. Founded in 1300 by James I of Aragon, in the lands of the Servera family, Son Servera was first documented in 1354 with the name of Benicanella, which would later become two towns: Son Fra Garí and Ca l'Hereu which would then become Son Servera. In 1814, king Ferdinand VII puts Son Servera municipality in Arta. In 1920, the population was struck by plague, but in 1934 the population reached 1,000 inhabitants and returned to the status of municipality. With more than 10,000 inhabitants, Son Servera contains Cala Millor, a popular summer tourist area, with a large German community. Costa de los Pinos is a summer destination for Spanish high society. Sant Joan is the patron saint of the town and is celebrated on June 24 with a fiesta. The fiesta runs for a week with a local fair, farmers market, agricultural stalls, and the local dancers perform traditional mallorquine dance of Ball de bot.

Porto Cristo is a small town on the eastern coast of Mallorca. It is 14 km (9 mi) from the town of Manacor and is within the Manacor municipality.

The Caves of Drach (modern Catalan spelling: Coves del Drac [ˈkɔβəz ðəl ˈdɾak]; Spanish: Cuevas del Drach; lit. 'Dragon caves') are four great caves that are located in the island of Majorca, Balearic Islands, Spain, extending to a depth of 25 m and reaching approximately 4 km in length. They are in the municipality of Manacor, near the locality of Porto Cristo. They were first mentioned in a letter dated 1338. The four caves, called Black Cave, White Cave, Cave of Luis Salvador, and Cave of the French, are connected to each other. The caves have formed by water being forced through the entrance from the Mediterranean Sea, and some researchers think the formation may date back to the Miocene Epoch. There is an underground lake situated in the caves called Martel Lake, which is about 115 m in length and 30 m in width, and its depth varies between four and twelve meters. It is named after the French explorer and scientist Édouard-Alfred Martel, considered the founding father of speleology, who was invited to explore the cave 1896. While German cave explorer, M.F. Will, had mapped the White and Black cave in 1880, Martel found two more caves, as well as the underground lake.The caves are open to the public for a fee, and are one of the main tourist attractions on Mallorca. The visit typically ends with a classical music concert, performed by a small orchestra of musicians on a fleet of small row boats.The caves are such an integral part of the tourism industry, that its closure, even if temporary, is seen by the locals as a bad sign for the economy.

Sa Coma is a town on the east coast of the island of Majorca, Spain. It is close to the towns of Cala Millor and Cala Bona in the municipality of Sant Llorenç des Cardassar. To the south it merges with the small town of S'illot. A majority of the residents of Sa Coma work in the hospitality industry and have seasonal contracts. The town's principal industry is tourism, based around its sandy beach, bars and restaurants. The resort has a relaxed atmosphere in contrast to the lively resort of Magaluf on the west coast of the island. Sa Coma is more family oriented, and evening entertainment centres on hotels, rather than in bars or clubs. Some of the shops in Sa Coma also cater for tourists, with many products in the supermarkets being imported from tourists' home countries. There is a Carrefour hypermarket within Sa Coma town, previously owned by Eroski.Sa Coma caters for touring Rugby Union teams (15 a side) throughout the year.

S'illot is a small tourist town on the south east coast of the Balearic Island of Mallorca, Spain, divided between the council areas of Manacor and Sant Llorenç des Cardassar. The two districts are separated by the river Torrent de Ca n'Amer which is spanned by a large bridge in the town. A range of seaside leisure activities take place in the town. At the entrance to the town there is prehistoric settlement that is well preserved.

Cala Romàntica or Playa Romàntica is a beach and resort on the east coast of Majorca, about 10 kilometres south of Porto Cristo, and east of the town of Manacor.

Manacor (Catalan pronunciation: [mənəˈkɔ]) is a town and municipality on the island of Mallorca, part of the Spanish autonomous community of the Balearic Islands. It is the second largest town in Mallorca, after the capital of Palma. The municipality has tourist areas such as Porto Cristo, site of the famous Caves of Drach, and Cales de Mallorca. Manacor has one of the busiest street markets on the island, held every Monday morning. Manacor is famous for high-quality wood furniture manufacture and artificial pearls.

Cala Millor is a town located on the Spanish Balearic Island of Mallorca. It consists of a small bay in the municipalities of Son Servera and Sant Llorenç des Cardassar. Overlooked by Mt. Na Penyal to the west. With over 5,000 inhabitants and multiple hotels, it is the largest tourist destination on the east coast of the island. The town has a well-maintained beach, and is within an hour's drive of the capital Palma de Mallorca, and half an hour's drive from Cuevas del Drach. The island's main airport, Palma de Mallorca Airport, AKA PMI, is on the west side of Palma de Mallorca, and is 70 kilometers west of Cala Millor.

Cala Bona is a small fishing town and holiday resort on the east coast of Majorca in the Balearic Islands of Spain. It consists of a cove with a harbour and surrounding coastal area, and lies within the municipality of Son Servera. The population of the town in 2005 was 1,088 inhabitants. In 2011, it had a population of 1,258. It is located to the north of Cala Millor, to which is connected by a promenade, and it lies to the south of Port Verd. Fodor's 1989 guide to Spain described Cala Bona in these terms: "Once an unspoiled fishing village, but now overwhelmed by neighboring Cala Millor. Mixed rocky and excellent sandy beach."
