Westfälische Kammerspiele is a theatre in Paderborn, North Rhine-Westphalia, Germany.

Paderborn (German pronunciation: [paːdɐˈbɔʁn] ; Westphalian: Patterbuorn, also Paterboärn) is a city in eastern North Rhine-Westphalia, Germany, capital of the Paderborn district. The name of the city derives from the river Pader and Born, an old German term for the source of a river. The river Pader originates in more than 200 springs near Paderborn Cathedral, where St. Liborius is buried. Paderborn ranks 55th on the List of cities in Germany by population.

The cathedral is dedicated to Saint Mary, Saint Kilian and Saint Liborius. The official German name is Hoher Dom Ss. Maria, Liborius und Kilian.

The Prince-Bishopric of Paderborn (German: Fürstbistum Paderborn; Hochstift Paderborn) was an ecclesiastical principality (Hochstift) of the Holy Roman Empire from 1281 to 1802.

RailCab is a research project by the University of Paderborn, Germany. Its purpose is the examination of the use of linear engines for the propulsion of autonomous, rail mounted vehicles. Similar to the Transrapid the coaches are moved by linear motors, which have a very low need for maintenance. In contrast to Transrapid a magnetic field is only used for acceleration, the vehicles run on wheels on tracks. This concept allows for modification of existing conventional railway tracks.

Paderborn University (German: Universität Paderborn) is one of the fourteen public research universities in the state of North Rhine-Westphalia in Germany. In 2018, world record for "optical data transmission at 128 gigabits per second" was achieved at the Heinz Nixdorf Institute of the University of Paderborn. The academic ranking of world universities 2018, popularly known as "shanghai rankings" placed the university in the ranking bracket 50–75 among mathematics departments worldwide.

Saint Boniface is the Roman Catholic church in Stadtheide, a quarter of the German city Paderborn which belongs to the Deanship of Paderborn in Archiocese of Paderborn.

Margarete-Schrader-Preis is a German literary prize. It is awarded by University of Paderborn to authors who have lived or promoted literature in Westphalia. The prize is named after Margarete Schrader (1914–2001) who left money for the award in her will. It is the only literary prize in Germany to be awarded by a university. Award winners receive €8,000.

Brauerei Paderborner is a brewery in the German city of Paderborn. The traditional Westphalian brewery was purchased by the German brewery-major Warsteiner in 1990.
