Lawrence High School is a four-year public high school located in Cedarhurst, New York, and is a part of Lawrence Public Schools, and is the district's only public high school. As of the 2018–19 school year, the school had an enrollment of 871 students and 85.8 classroom teachers (on an FTE basis), for a student–teacher ratio of 10.2:1. There were 456 students (52.4% of enrollment) eligible for free lunch and 37 (4.2% of students) eligible for reduced-cost lunch.

Rock Hall is a historic home located at Lawrence in Nassau County, New York. It was built about 1767 and stands on a manorial, park-like setting overlooking Jamaica Bay. It is a 2+1⁄2-story, Georgian-style frame dwelling, with a T-shaped frame wing. It is five bays wide, with a central portico shielding the main entry. During the early 1950s the town of Hempstead restored Rock Hall to its 18th-century appearance.It was listed on the National Register of Historic Places in 1976.
