Woodsburgh is a village in the Town of Hempstead in Nassau County, on the South Shore of Long Island, in New York, United States. The population was 778 at the 2010 United States Census. Woodsburgh is included in the Five Towns (though not as one of the "five"), which is usually said to comprise the villages of Lawrence and Cedarhurst, the hamlets of Woodmere and Inwood, and the Hewletts (the villages of Hewlett Bay Park, Hewlett Harbor, and Hewlett Neck, and the hamlet of Hewlett), along with Woodsburgh.

Founded in 1987 as a part of the Yeshiva of South Shore, the Mesivta became both financially and administratively independent in 2003. Geller I was a Modernist house in Lawrence, New York. The house was one of the first American works by architect Marcel Breuer, designed in 1945. It was demolished in 2022. It was one of the first to employ Breuer's concept of the 'binuclear' house, with separate wings for the bedrooms and for the living / dining / kitchen area, separated by an entry hall, and with the distinctive 'butterfly' roof (two opposing roof surfaces sloping towards the middle, centrally drained) that became part of the popular modernist style vocabulary.The house was eligible for the National Register of Historic Places as a contributing property in the Rockaway Hunt Historic District.

Congregation Aish Kodesh (Hebrew: קהילת אש קודש, "Congregation Holy Fire") is an Orthodox synagogue in Woodmere, New York. Led since its founding in 1992 by Rabbi Moshe Weinberger, the synagogue was named after the Piaseczna Rav, Rabbi Kalonymus Kalman Shapira, known by the name of his last work, Aish Kodesh, who was a leading Polish Hasidic rabbi in prewar Europe. By injecting Hasidic elements into the prayer services, social events, and daily classes, Aish Kodesh has been called a "phenomenon" and a "revolution" in the religious community of Long Island.
