Great James Street

Rugby Street, formerly known as Chapel Street, is a street in the Bloomsbury district of the London Borough of Camden. It was built between around 1700 and 1721 on land that was given to Rugby School in Warwickshire and now forms part of London's Rugby Estate. Many of its buildings are listed by Historic England such as the grade II The Rugby Tavern. It was renamed Rugby Street in 1936 or 1937. In the post-war period, number 18 was the home to many creative people and the house where Ted Hughes and Sylvia Plath spent their first night together.

London Knowledge Lab was a research centre in Bloomsbury, London. It was founded in 2004 as a collaboration between the Institute of Education and Birkbeck, University of London. It was an interdisciplinary research centre, bringing together over 50 researchers from both social sciences and computer science backgrounds. The Institute of Education and Birkbeck announced the end of their collaboration in February 2016. Both institutions are continuing the work in their own separate Knowledge Lab research centres.

The Duke of York is a Grade II listed public house at 7 Roger Street, Bloomsbury, London WC1N 2PB.It is on the Campaign for Real Ale's National Inventory of Historic Pub Interiors.It forms part of Mytre House, built-in 1937-38 by the architect D. E. Harrington.

Theobalds Road is a road in the Holborn district of London. It is named after Theobalds Palace because King James I used this route when going between there and London, travelling with his court and baggage of some 200 carts. For this reason, it was also known as the King's Way which is now the name of the nearby road, Kingsway. A tram tunnel was built under Kingsway in 1902–1906 which had its north-eastern entrance at Theobalds Road. When the tram network was closed in the 1950s, the Theobalds Road end was used as a flood control centre and movie location.The road's name is usually pronounced intuitively (), but traditionally it was pronounced "Tibbalds" ().

The Fryer's Delight is a fish and chip shop in the Bloomsbury district of London, United Kingdom. It was started by Italian brothers, Giovanni and Giuseppe Ferdenzi, who came from Piacenza and worked there for many years. It is said to be popular with London cab drivers. The fish is the traditional choices of cod, haddock, plaice and skate. The chips are fried to be fluffy on the inside while crisp outside. The frying is done in traditional beef dripping, which gives the food a distinctive taste.Beef dripping is the key to the overall sensation. Unlike vegetable oil, it isn't neutral. Its flavour keys the flavours of the other elements. The batter tends to be very slightly more substantial than that in the Modern School chippies, but then Old School batter is eaten on its own as part of the dish in its own right, not simply as a vehicle for the fish. The chips, too, take on a sweeter, meaty note.

Lamb's Conduit Street is a street in Holborn in the West End of London. The street takes its name from Lambs Conduit, originally known as the Holborn Conduit, a dam across a tributary of the River Fleet.

Doughty Street is a broad tree-lined street in the King's Cross district of the London Borough of Camden. The southern part is a continuation of the short John Street, which comes off Theobald's Road. The northern part crosses Guilford Street and ends at Mecklenburgh Square. The street is named after a landlord of the area at the time it was built, Henry Doughty.

The Royal College of Paediatrics and Child Health, often referred to as the RCPCH, is the professional body for paediatricians (doctors specialising in child health) in the United Kingdom. It is responsible for the postgraduate training of paediatricians and conducts the Membership of the Royal College of Paediatrics and Child Health (MRCPCH) exams. It also awards the Diploma in Child Health (DCH), which is taken by many doctors who plan a career in general practice. Members of the college use the postnominal initials 'MRCPCH' while Fellows use 'FRCPCH'.

The Perseverance is a pub at 63 Lamb's Conduit Street, Bloomsbury, London WC1, on the corner with Great Ormond Street. It is a Grade II listed building, built in the early 18th century, and refronted in the early 19th century.It was The Sun until the 1990s, and after several name changes, became The Perseverance in 2006.

Holborn Library is a public library in Theobalds Road, Holborn, in the London Borough of Camden. The library is operated by the Camden London Borough Council and also houses the Local Studies and Archives Centre for the borough.The Twentieth Century Society describe it as "a milestone in the history of the modern public library".

The People's Supermarket is a community interest company whose stated aim is to provide the local community with good cheap food that is fair to consumers and producers. It was founded in May 2010 by Arthur Potts Dawson with regeneration advisor/entrepreneur David Barrie and retail specialist Kate Wickes-Bull, supported by a team of supporters and professional advisors, in Lamb's Conduit Street, Holborn, London, England, near Great Ormond Street Hospital. As of February 2012 it had 1000 members.Based upon the concept of the food co-operative and inspired in part by the Park Slope Food Coop in the Park Slope neighbourhood of Brooklyn in New York City, US, members of the social enterprise are required to pay a £25 annual fee and contribute four hours of their time every four weeks to working in the store. In return, members receive a 20% discount off their shopping in-store.

Aggrey House was a hostel established in London in 1934 to cater for African students and students of African descent. It was named after James Emman Kwegyir Aggrey. It was at 47 Doughty Street, a typical Georgian terraced house, on the recommendations made by a Colonial Office committee in 1930.Ivor Cummings was appointed Warden in 1935. He was responsible for organising meetings, lectures, dances and other social events for the residents.In 1943 new premises were obtained at 17 Russell Square where Aggrey House was reopened as "The Colonial Centre", intended to cater for all classes of Colonial students, as well as both members of the armed forces and civilian was workers.
