Arcadia Beach

Arcadia Park is a small park in Odesa, Ukraine, located up to 2014 in the historical quarter Arcadia, at the end of the Genuezska Street, down from the 10th of April Square, on the coast of the Gulf of Odesa. The park is known for its numerous restaurants, bars and nightclubs. The famous beach Arcadia Beach is located here. The best known place in the park is its Central Avenue, which threads down from the Genuezska Street to the sea coast, where the beach is located. Extensive reconstruction of the park, mostly on its Central Avenue, was started in January 2014. Nearly all the plants and greenery were demolished, the central avenue was covered with granite pavement tiles. Also, massive marble fountains and planters were constructed. The fountains are covered by plywood in the winter time. A little trees, mainly pines and palms, transported from Italy, were planted.

Arcadia is a historical part of Odesa, Ukraine, which is known as a famous resort. It is located in the coastal part of the city, close to the quarters of 5th and 7th stations of Velyky Fontan. The quarter was named after a mountainous district in Greece, which was known as the home of pastoral villagers. The famous Arcadia Beach and Arcadia Park are located in the district. The modern concept of Arcadia is a restaurant and entertainment complex with elements of a shopping center.

Odesa Botanical Garden is a botanical garden in Odesa, Ukraine. It is subordinated to Odesa University and consists of two territories: old territory and new territory.

Cape Malyi Fontan (sometime translated as Small Fontan, Ukrainian: Мис Малий Фонтан) is a cape in the central part of the Gulf of Odessa. It is located in the centre of the City of Odessa, in the site of Arkadia. The Hydrobiological Station of the Odessa University is located on the cape.

The Filatov Institute is a research institute and a large ophthalmology (eye) hospital in Odesa, Ukraine. It was founded by Vladimir Filatov, an academic ophthalmologist. Its mission is the study of eye diseases and injuries, the training of ophthalmologists and the provision of eye care in Ukraine. The institute has 700 staff including 27 professors.

The Odesa Military Academy is a modern higher military institution of the inter-services Armed Forces of Ukraine. It is one of the oldest military academies in the former Russian Empire, having been active for more than a century. has deep historical traditions and more than a century of history. The academy conducts language training for servicemen and employees of the Armed Forces of Ukraine, advanced training of military personnel and scientific and pedagogical workers, and the preparation of students in the training of reserve officers.

Odesa Film Studio (Ukrainian: Одеська кіностудія художніх фільмів, Russian: Одесская киностудия художественных фильмов) is the Ukrainian, formerly Soviet film studio in Odesa, one of the first in the Russian Empire and the Soviet Union. It is partially owned by a government and supervised by the Department of State property fund of Ukraine together with the Ministry of Culture. Together with Dovzhenko Film Studios they are the only state-owned and major film producers in the country. The studio is located at Frantsuzky bulvar 33 (33 French Boulevard), Odesa, Ukraine. In a close vicinity to it is located a smaller film studio House of Mask.

The Gulf of Odesa, or Odesa Bay, (Ukrainian: Одеська затока, Odeska zatoka) is a part of the Black Sea between North Odesa Cape in the north and Cape Velykyi Fontan in the south.

Army Sports Club Stadium is a multi-use stadium in Odesa, Ukraine. The stadium holds 15,000 people. The stadium is located close to the Kulykove Pole in Odesa, between Seminarska vulytsia and Pyrohovska vulytsia. The stadium was built in 1966 in place of the old wooden Kharchovyk Stadium that existed in its place since 1927. The initiative to rebuilt the stadium belonged to the Soviet general Hamazasp Babadzhanian. The stadium was a home stadium of SKA Odesa and its successor municipal SC Odesa.

Spartak Stadium is multi-functional stadium in the city of Odesa, Ukraine. It is the home ground of football club Real Pharma Odesa and RC Kredo-63. It was the temporary home ground of Chornomorets of the Ukraine Premier League while their home stadium is under reconstruction for Euro 2012. The stadium was opened in 1928 as a dedication to the 10th anniversary of the Komsomol and was considered the most modern stadium in the city at the time with seating capacity of 10,000 spectators and home to the Odesa city football team. After World War II, Kharchovyk Odesa (predecessor to Chornomorets) played in the stadium for two years (1945–46). In 1950s, it was a home to football school. In 1960s, here played FC Avtomobilist Odesa that played in lower leagues. The stadium was in decline and there were attempts in the 1970s to demolish the ground, partially related to construction of the Odesa theatre of Music Comedy. Due to protests of residents, the stadium was preserved. In the 1980s, a pervasive effort was made to reconstruct the ground. After complete reconstruction, two new stands were built instead original horseshoe-shaped and capacity was reduced to 6,000. Since Ukrainian independence in 1991, the ground has been used by the following clubs: Chornomorets (including reserve and second teams), SK Odesa, Dynamo-SKA, Palmira, Dniester. The stadium is also a venue for games involving amateur teams from Odesa and its Oblast.
