Ashland is a city in Boone County, Missouri, United States. Ashland is part of the Columbia, Missouri Metropolitan Statistical Area. The population was 4,747 at the 2020 census.

KFMZ was a radio station on 98.3 FM in Columbia, Missouri, which broadcast between 1971 and 2001. KFMZ went off the air when its licensee, Contemporary Media, Inc., had all of its licenses cancelled in response to a Federal Communications Commission investigation. The 98.3 frequency remained vacant for 15 years until KDVC signed on in November 2016.

Three Creeks Township is one of ten townships in Boone County, Missouri, USA. The township's contains part of the city of Ashland and also a part of the village of Pierpont.

Oldham is an unincorporated community in southeast Boone County, in the U.S. state of Missouri. The community is on Old Highway 63 approximately three miles south of Ashland.Folk etymology states the community was named after Asa Old, a local merchant who sold old hams.

Columbia Regional Airport (IATA: COU, ICAO: KCOU) is a commercial passenger airport serving Columbia, Missouri. Located about 12 miles (19 km) southeast of Columbia in Boone County, Missouri, it is the only commercial airport in Mid-Missouri and also serves the state capital of Jefferson City. As of 2022, commercial passenger service is provided by American Airlines subsidiary American Eagle. The airport opened in 1968 (1968), replacing the Columbia Municipal Airport off of Interstate 70. It is frequently used for charter flights by college athletic teams visiting the University of Missouri and for MU team flights. In 2019, airport officials extended the 6,500-foot runway to 7,400 feet and added a new 5,400 foot crosswind runway. On October 26, 2022, the airport opened the airport's 56,000 ft2 terminal with three jetways. Columbia Regional is included in the Federal Aviation Administration (FAA) National Plan of Integrated Airport Systems for 2021–2025, in which it is categorized as a non-hub primary commercial service facility. Federal Aviation Administration records say the airport had 12,719 passenger boardings (enplanements) in calendar year 2008, 26,842 in 2009 and 38,293 in 2010.Scheduled passenger service was subsidized by the U.S. Department of Transportation via the Essential Air Service program until 2010, when Pinnacle Airlines dba Delta Connection began providing subsidy-free service.

Bass Creek is a stream in Boone County in the U.S. state of Missouri. It is a tributary of Bonne Femme Creek, which flows into the Missouri River. The creek is one of the "three creeks" of Three Creeks Conservation Area. It is a losing stream and some of its water flows through Hunters Cave. The creek is named after Eli Bass, whose plantation it flowed through for much of the 1800s.

Turkey Creek is a stream in Boone County in the U.S. state of Missouri. It is a tributary of Bonne Femme Creek. Turkey Creek was named for the wild turkeys along its course. It is one of three large creeks in Three Creeks Conservation Area.

Deer Park is an unincorporated community in Boone County, in the U.S. state of Missouri. It is located south of Columbia on U.S. Route 63.

Englewood is an unincorporated community in Boone County, in the U.S. state of Missouri.

Pierpont is a village in Boone County, Missouri, United States. It is part of the Columbia, Missouri Metropolitan Statistical Area. The population was 64 at the 2020 census. The village, located south of Rock Bridge Memorial State Park at Route N and Highway 163, was incorporated in 2004 to avoid annexation by the city of Columbia. It is now an independent village with its own governing board of trustees.
