Valby Gasworks

The Internment in Valby is constructed in a former beer depot in relationship with the state of emergency laws introduced in relationship with the United Nations Climate Change Conference 2009 (COP15) December 2009 It is the primary detention used for climate activists, who will be arrested by the police. The police can detain people for 12 hours, which is called preemptive arrest The procedure: 1) The detainees will be placed on benches in handcuffs until they will be called to be booked and searched. 2) Then they will be led to the cages (pejoratively called "dog cages" in the Danish media) which can each accommodate 8-10 persons. 3) If police investigation leads to charges the detainee will be transferred to Vestre Fængsel. Otherwise the detainee will be released after the 12-hour period since the arrest has passed.There will be access to toilet and water. Food can be earned after 6 hours. Due to limited heating possibilities the detainees can be granted a blanket.A common nickname in the press is the "Climate Prison"

Vigerslev Allé station is an S-train station in Copenhagen, Denmark. The station is located on Vigerslev Allé, the main traffic artery of its namesake neighbourghood of Vigerslev, which forms the westernmost part of the Copenhagen district of Valby.It opened in 2005 and is served by the ring line.

Danshøj station is an S-train junction between Vestbanen and Ringbanen in Copenhagen, Denmark. Opened on 8 January 2005, it serves mainly as an interchange station between B and F.The station was in the project phase of Ringbanen originally intended to be known as Harrestrup. Due to public comments, however, the name was definitively changed to Danshøj.

The White Houses in Valby (Danish: Den Hvide By i Valby), also known as Trekanten (lit. "The Triangle"), is one of several developments of building society houses in the Valby district of Copenhagen, Denmark. The houses were built 1899–1903 and are located on the south side of Valby Langgade and the streets Søndre Allé, Nordre Allé and Østre Allé.

Valby ([vælpyˀ] (listen)) is one of the 10 official districts of Copenhagen, Denmark. It is in the southwestern corner of Copenhagen Municipality, and has a mixture of different types of housing. This includes apartment blocks, terraced housing, areas with single-family houses and allotments, plus the remaining part of the old Valby village, around which the district has formed, intermingled with past and present industrial sites. Valby Hill marks the boundary between Valby and the more central and urban neighbouring Vesterbro district. The expression "west of Valby Hill" is in Danish often used as a metonym for "the provinces" or "outside Copenhagen". Separated from the rest of Copenhagen by Vestre Cemetery, Denmark's largest cemetery, towards Vesterbro/Kongens Enghave and Søndermarken-Frederiksberg Gardens towards Frederiksberg, the Carlsberg brewery site, and areas of low density, Valby retains a certain air of 'independence', or isolation, even today. With the progressing redevelopment of the Carlsberg area into a new lively, high-density neighbourhood, this is likely to change. Other former industrial sites are also under redevelopment and Valby is today one of the districts in Copenhagen with the fastest growing population.

Lyset (English: "The Light") is an area of building society houses located on the north side of Vigerslev Allé in the Valby district of Copenhagen, Denmark. The development consists of 106 houses situated along Carl Langes vej, Steenbergsvej, Fengersvej, Eschrichtsvej and Steinsvej, just west of Valby station and south of the railway line towards Roskilde.

Vigerslev is a working-class neighborhood and is part of Valby, Copenhagen, Denmark. The area is dominated by a large industrial zone, apartment buildings (5–6 floors) and few single-family houses. The area is connected with F-train (Vigerslev Allé station).

Akacieparken is a public housing estate on Valby Langgade in the Valby district of Copenhagen, Denmark. It was built in 1994–06 to design by Hvidt & M'lgaard on a former industrial site and contains 304 apartments.

Hvidovre Kommune is a municipality (Danish, kommune) in Region Hovedstaden near Copenhagen on the island of Zealand (Sjælland) in eastern Denmark. The municipality covers an area of 22 km2, and has a total population of 53,443 (1. January 2023). Its mayor is Anders Wolf Andresen, a member of the Green Left (Socialistisk Folkeparti) political party. The main town and the site of its municipal council is the town of Hvidovre. Other towns in the municipality are Avedøre and Friheden. Neighboring municipalities are Copenhagen to the east, Rødovre to the north, and Brøndby to the west. Part of its eastern border are the waters of Kalveboderne, and to the south is Køge Bay (Køge Bugt). The southernmost section of the municipality, known as Avedøre Holme, juts out into Køge Bay and forms part of the entryway into Kalveboderne, the waters of which separate the island of Zealand from neighboring Amager. Avedøre Holme houses two harbours.

Ålholm station is a commuter rail railway station serving the northwestern part of the district of Valby in Copenhagen, Denmark. It is located on the Ring Line of Copenhagen's S-train network. The station opened on 8 January 2005 where Roskildevej crosses the railway line.

Domus Vista is located in Copenhagen at Roskildevej in Frederiksberg and is, at 102 metres, the tallest residential structure in Denmark and the second tallest residential building in Scandinavia. The tallest is Turning Torso in Malmö, which was completed in 2005.
