Alambazar Math is the second monastery of the Ramakrishna Order established in February 1892, which remained the order's headquarters till February 1898, when it was finally moved to Belur village on the bank of Ganga.The Alambazar Math finally got merged with the Ramakrishna Math and Mission, Belur on 7th November 2022,on the holy Janmatithi(birth anniversary) of Srimat Swami Vijnananandaji Maharaj, a direct disciple of Sri Ramakrishna. The deed was signed by Swami Suviranandaji Maharaj, the general secretary of Ramakrishna Math. It was earlier managed by Ramakrishna Satyanand Ashram and merging it with the Ramakrishna mission was a much awaited event.

Dakshineswar railway station is a Kolkata Suburban Railway station of Eastern Railway. It is 13 km away from Sealdah and 9 km from Dankuni Junction on the Sealdah–Dankuni line of Eastern Railway. Dankuni and Bardhaman local train connects this place to Sealdah Station and other stations of the Sealdah main line. It is an important railway station between Dum Dum and Dankuni railway stations.

Brahmananda Keshab Chandra College, established in 1956, is an undergraduate college in Baranagar, Kolkata, West Bengal, India. It was named after the nineteenth century social reformer Keshab Chandra Sen. Popularly known as B.K.C. College, the institution was established with the aim of filling a vacuum in higher education in North 24 Parganas. This College is a Govt. of West Bengal aided degree college affiliated to the West Bengal State University and upgraded from Bachelor’s to Master’s degree in the list of Colleges included u/s 2(f) and 12(b) of the UGC Act, 1956 vide UGC letter No. 8-104/2019(CPP-I/C) dated 17/12/2019.Two Post Graduate courses are conducting: M.Sc in Mathematics and M.Sc in Botany.

Baranagar Road Railway Station is a Kolkata Suburban Railway station situated on Sealdah-Dankuni line in the city of Baranagar. It serves the local areas of Baranagar in North 24 Parganas district, West Bengal, India.

Baranagar metro station is a metro railway station off Barrackpore Trunk Road at Dunlop of Baranagar in Kolkata. Presently, this metro station is the tallest metro station of Kolkata (approximately 55 feet). The metro station adjoins the platforms of the Baranagar Road railway station where connections can be made with Indian Railways services. This station is also known as "Swami Vivekananda metro station". The station was inaugurated on 22 February 2021.

The Kolkata Metro is a Mass Rapid Transit Urban Railway network in Kolkata, India. It was the first underground railway to be built in India, with the first operations commencing in October, 1984 and the full stretch that was initially planned being operational by February, 1995. As of 30 December 2022, there are 40 metro stations in the network.Currently, there are three lines, the North-South Corridor (with 26 stations), East-West Corridor (with 8 stations) and Joka-Esplanade Corridor (with 6 stations). Prasanta Chandra Mahalanobis Mahavidyalaya (formerly Bon Hooghly College of Commerce), established in 1965, is a general degree college in Baranagar, Kolkata. It offers undergraduate courses in arts, commerce and sciences. It is affiliated to West Bengal State University.

Bhairab Ganguly College is a college in Belgharia, in the district of North 24 Parganas, West Bengal, India, that was set up on 3 September 1968. It is currently affiliated with the West Bengal State University. It was formerly affiliated with the University of Calcutta. Bhairab Ganguly College is co-educational and offers three-year degree courses in all three main streams of Humanities, Science, and Commerce. Since 1997-98, vocational courses in Advertising, Sales Promotion and Sales Management, sponsored by University Grants Commission (UGC), have been introduced at the degree level & Postgraduate Studies

Vivekananda's prayer to Kali at Dakshineswar is an event which occurred in September 1884 when Swami Vivekananda (then known as Narendranath Dutta), following the suggestion of Ramakrishna, went to the Kali temple of Dakshineswar with the intention to pray for financial welfare, but ultimately prayed for pure knowledge, devotion and renunciation. This event has been a subject of scholarly studies and is considered as a significant event in the life of Vivekananda, who initially revolted against idol-worship but now accepted and prayed before an idol of Kali. This incident added a new change to Narendra's devotion and knowledge. After making three attempts to seek a blessing to remove his financial problems from mother Goddess Kali, he came out with the divine statement: "Mother, I want nothing but knowledge and devotion!"

Dakshineswar Kali Temple is a Hindu navaratna temple in Dakshineswar, Kolkata, West Bengal, India. Situated on the eastern bank of the Hooghly River, the presiding deity of the temple is Bhavatarini, a form of Parashakti Adya Kali, otherwise known as Adishakti Kalika. The temple was built in 1855 by Rani Rashmoni, a Zamindar, philanthropist and a devotee of Kali. The temple is known for its association with Ramakrishna and Ma Sarada Devi, mystics of 19th century Bengal.The main temple was inspired by Navaratna style Radhakanta temple, built by Ramnath Mondal of Tollygunge. The temple compound, apart from the nine-spired main temple, contains a large courtyard surrounding the temple, with rooms along the boundary walls. There are twelve shrines dedicated to Shiva–Kali's consort–along the riverfront, a temple to Radha–Krishna, a bathing ghat on the river, a shrine dedicated to Rani Rashmoni. 'Nahabat', the chamber in the northwestern corner just beyond the last of the Shiva temples, is where Ramakrishna and Maa Sarada spent a considerable part of their lives.
