The Municipal Council of Beau-Bassin Rose-Hill (French: Conseil Municipal de Beau-Bassin Rose-Hill) is the local authority responsible for the administration of the town of Beau-Bassin Rose-Hill, Plaines Wilhems District, Mauritius. Since 31 May 2023, the mayor is Rajeneedavee Mootoo Caroopen and the deputy mayor is Jai Krishna Vishwanauth Choolun.

Beau Bassin-Rose Hill (or Beau-Bassin Rose-Hill; French: Villes sœurs; Mauritian Creole pronunciation: [bobasɛ̃ ʁozil]) is a town in Mauritius, located in the Plaines Wilhems District. It is administered by the Municipal Council of Beau Bassin-Rose Hill and has a population of 147,066 inhabitants, making it the third largest city on the island.

Sir Gaëtan Duval Stadium is a multi-use stadium in Beau Bassin-Rose Hill, Plaines Wilhems District, Mauritius. It is currently used mostly for football matches and is the home stadium of US Beau Bassin-Rose Hill. The stadium holds 6,500 people.

The Saint Mary's college is a Catholic, private secondary school for boys in Mauritius based in Rose-Hill. The college is known for diversity of its students enrollment,students who performed well at the CPE exam. Another campus was built lately named Saint Mary's West.

Loreto College Rose Hill is a private secondary girls' school in Rose Hill, Mauritius. One of seven Loreto College campuses in Mauritius, it opened in 1951. Cathy de Cazanove is the current rector and the asst. rector is Roselyn Thomas.

St. Andrew's School is a private, Anglican secondary school in Rose-Hill, Mauritius. It is commonly referred to as SAS. It was founded in February 1943 by Father Alan Rogers in his study at the parsonage of St Paul's, Vacoas, under the blessing of Bishop Hugh Otter-Barry. It was a non-fee paying school, the first coeducational and only Anglican secondary school in Mauritius.

Eden College is a private secondary school located in Quatre Bornes, Mauritius. Students are prepared for the School Certificate (O Level) and the Higher School Certificate (A Level).

Queen Elizabeth College (QEC) is a girls secondary school in Mauritius. It has now become a mixed school and accommodates girls and boys of age 15 to 18 years based on their performance at the National Certificate of Education (NCE) examinations. The school prepares its students for the O Level examinations, awarding the School Certificate; and the A Level examinations, awarding the Higher School Certificate. The school is well known for having produced many female leaders at the national level as well as at the international level. The graduates have become female scholars, professionals, scientists, leaders and politicians amongst others.

Dr Regis Chaperon State Secondary School (commonly known as Dr Regis Chaperon SSS and DRC) is an all-boys' state owned school in Quatre Bornes, Belle Rose, Mauritius. It serves nearly 1000 students annually. The school was built with the main purpose of free education and was the first high school to provide free schooling as from its inauguration in 1978.

Ébène (Mauritian Creole pronunciation: [ebɛn]) is a suburb of Quatre Bornes, Mauritius, 15 kilometres (9.3 mi) south of the capital, Port Louis. Construction began in November 2001, with the suburb being promoted as a new information technology hub for Mauritius and as a link between African and Asian markets. The aim was to create a hi-tech office area in order to dynamise the country. As a result, it is also referred to as Ébène Cybercity or Cyber City.

AFRINIC (African Network Information Centre) is the regional Internet registry (RIR) for Africa. Its headquarters are in Ebene, Mauritius. Before AFRINIC was formed, IP addresses (IPv6 and IPv4) for Africa were distributed by the Asia-Pacific Network Information Centre (APNIC), the American Registry for Internet Numbers (ARIN), and the RIPE NCC. ICANN provisionally recognized AFRINIC on 11 October 2004. The registry became operational on 22 February 2005. ICANN gave it final recognition in April 2005.
