Bridge on the Neretva

Case White (German: Fall Weiss), also known as the Fourth Enemy Offensive (Serbo-Croatian: Četvrta neprijateljska ofenziva/ofanziva), was a combined Axis strategic offensive launched against the Yugoslav Partisans throughout occupied Yugoslavia during World War II. It was one of the most significant confrontations of World War II in Yugoslavia. The offensive took place in early 1943, between 20 January and mid-to-late March. The Axis operation prompted the Partisan Supreme Command to enact its plans to drive toward eastern Herzegovina, Sandžak and Montenegro.In order to do this, Tito formed the so-called Main Operational Group, which eventually succeeded in forcing its way across the Neretva in mid-March 1943, after a series of battles with various hostile formations. Other Partisan formations, the 1st Croatian and 1st Bosnian Corps, managed to evade Axis blows and, despite significant losses, reclaim most of the territory they had held before the beginning of the operation. Since its final stage took place on the Neretva River, the operation was known in Yugoslavia as the Battle of the Neretva (Bitka na Neretvi). This stage is also known as the Battle for the Wounded (Bitka za ranjenike).

Lug is a village in the municipality of Jablanica, Bosnia and Herzegovina. It is located along the Neretva river.

The Doljanka River is a right tributary of Neretva river in North Herzegovina, Bosnia and Herzegovina.The length of Doljanka is around 18 km, and it descends about 400 meters in elevation. It rises from sources scattered under the far northeast slopes of Vran mountain at 1324 meters elevation. It runs through limestone canyon, which is up to 1,200 meters deep, and flows through the village of Doljani. The Doljanka flows into the Neretva River between Jablanica and Mostar, at an elevation of 300 m. It is also the connection over which trout from the Neretva crossing in Doljanka during spawning. The watershed of the Doljanka encompasses the area between the mountains Baćine in the north and Čvrsnica in the south: it is 69 km2 in area. It receives a small number of tributaries (Bijeli potok, Trn, Loznik, and Cvitan), so that water mainly comes from underground karst water. The water level of the river is slightly lower compared to other Neretva tributaries, because its riverbed is rocky and sandy, which allows brown trout and its natural food. The difference in water level in summer compared to winter is quite large.

Jablanica (Serbian Cyrillic: Јабланица) is a town and municipality located in Herzegovina-Neretva Canton of the Federation of Bosnia and Herzegovina, an entity of Bosnia and Herzegovina. It is situated on the Neretva river and Jablanica lake.

Radio Jablanica is a Bosnian local public radio station, broadcasting from Jablanica, Bosnia and Herzegovina. It was launched on 22 February 1999 by JP RTV JABLANICA d.o.o. Jablanica. This radio station broadcasts a variety of programs such as music, talk shows and local news. Program is mainly produced in Bosnian language. Estimated number of potential listeners of Radio Jablanica is around 13,498.The radio station is also available in municipalities Konjic, Prozor and Mostar. Local cable television channel RTV Jablanica is also part of public municipality services.

The Grabovica massacre refers to the murders of at least 13 ethnic Croat inhabitants of the village of Grabovica near Jablanica by members of the Army of the Republic of Bosnia and Herzegovina (ARBiH) 9th Brigade and other unidentified members of ARBiH on 8 or 9 September 1993. The International Court Tribunal for former Yugoslavia concluded that the number of victims totaled to be 13, lower than the alleged amount of 33.
