Pohatcong Mountain

Pohatcong Creek (also called the Pohatcong River) is a 30.7-mile-long (49.4 km) tributary of the Delaware River in northwestern New Jersey in the United States. It rises in the mountains of eastern Warren County, west of Hackettstown. It flows southwest, in a valley along the northwestern side of the Pohatcong Mountain ridge, which separates its watershed from that of the Musconetcong River. It joins the Delaware in Pohatcong Township, approximately 5 miles (8 kilometers) south of Phillipsburg. The name Pohatcong is said to have thought of a Munsee phrase — pohwihtukwung, or "at the rippling or lapping river".

Warren County Technical School (WCTS) is a technical and vocational public high school located in Washington, which serves students in ninth through twelfth grades as well as adult learners from across Warren County, United States, as part of the Warren County Technical School District. The school has been accredited by the Middle States Association of Colleges and Schools Commission on Elementary and Secondary Schools since 1996.As of the 2021–22 school year, the school had an enrollment of 440 students and 36.8 classroom teachers (on an FTE basis), for a student–teacher ratio of 12.0:1. There were 71 students (16.1% of enrollment) eligible for free lunch and 16 (3.6% of students) eligible for reduced-cost lunch.In addition to students in its full-time high school programs, the school also serves 150 adult students in the fields of Licensed Practical Nursing, Cosmetology, HVAC, Welding, and Black Seal Certification.

The John Richey House is a historic farmhouse located at 6 Schnetzer Lane in Franklin Township of Warren County, New Jersey, United States. It was built c. 1785–1800 and is on a working farm with 34 acres (14 ha). The farmhouse was added to the National Register of Historic Places on March 20, 2002, for its significance in architecture.

Pleasant Valley is an unincorporated community located in Washington Township, Warren County, New Jersey, west of Washington, along the Pohatcong Creek. The hamlet was built around a mill on the creek during the mid-18th century. The Pleasant Valley Historic District, encompassing the village, is listed on the state and national registers of historic places.

The Pohatcong Valley Groundwater Contamination superfund site is located in Warren County, Franklin Township, Washington Township, and Washington Borough in New Jersey. It was recognized in the 1970s but not designated into the National Priorities List until 1989. It is a contamination of the Kittany Limestone Aquifer underlying the Pohatcong Valley. This toxic site stretches across 9,800 acres of land. The chemicals that are polluting the groundwater and soil are trichloroethylene (TCE) and perchloroethylene (PCE). If someone were to be exposed to these harmful toxins for a short amount of time it can result in unconsciousness. Long term effects unfortunately include liver and kidney problems. The plans to clean up this superfund site are costing the companies involved, Pechiney Public Packaging Inc., Bristol Meyers Squibb Company, Albea Americas Inc, and Citigroup Inc, about $92 million, and the situation still has not been completely resolved.

Broadway is an unincorporated community and census-designated place (CDP) located within Franklin Township, in Warren County, in the U.S. state of New Jersey, that was created as part of the 2010 United States Census. As of the 2010 Census, the CDP's population was 244.

The Asbury Historic District is a 288-acre (117 ha) historic district encompassing the community of Asbury in Franklin Township of Warren County, New Jersey. It is bounded by County Route 632 (Asbury Anderson Road), County Route 643 (Old Main Street), Maple Avenue, Kitchen Road, and School Street and extends along the Musconetcong River into Bethlehem Township of Hunterdon County. It was listed on the National Register of Historic Places on March 19, 1993 for its significance in architecture, industry, religion, community development, politics/government, and commerce. The district includes 141 contributing buildings, a contributing structure, two contributing sites, and four contributing objects.

Brass Castle is an unincorporated community and census-designated place (CDP) located within Washington Township, in Warren County, in the U.S. state of New Jersey. As of the 2010 United States Census, the CDP's population was 1,555.Brass Castle is named for Jacob Brass, an early settler of the area.
