Quigley's Point (Irish: Rinn Uí Choigligh) is a village in County Donegal, Ireland. Located on the eastern shores of Inishowen and overlooking Lough Foyle, the village is sometimes known locally as "Carrowkeel" (or "Carowkeel") as it is in a townland of that name. To the south is the city of Derry and to the north lie the villages of Moville and Greencastle. A car ferry links Greencastle with Magilligan during the summer. The river Cabry, which flows through the area, is spanned by a late-18th century bridge at Quigley's Point.Evidence of ancient settlement in the area includes a standing stone site in Cabry townland, and a reputed former cromlech site (since removed) in Carrowkeel townland.The Presbyterian Church in Ireland has a church at Greenbank near the village. Greenbank Presbyterian Church was built in 1862 in a "Gothic influenced" style. The nearby Presbyterian church hall, which was gutted by fire following an apparent arson attack in 2003, was subsequently restored.Quigley's Point had a population of 199 people at the time of the 2016 census, down from 227 in the 2011 census.

The Cabry River is located in north County Donegal, Ireland. It flows into Lough Foyle after passing under the late-18th century bridge at Quigley's Point, known locally as "Carrowkeel". The mouth of the river is in Quigley's Point, a village within the nearby townlands of Cabry, Carrowkeel, Gortanny, Magheralahan, and Meenavanaghan, all in County Donegal. The river is known for its deposits of alluvial gold, which have been found in gravel bars in the lower course of the river and are believed to have originated from a local gold mineralization source. The Cabry River's gold deposits also contain silver, lead, nickel, and bismuth-telluride, as well as galena, pyrite, and chalcopyrite. The river flows over Dalradian Supergroup bedrock, as well as glacial debris and Carboniferous age bedrock in its lower course. The occurrence of alluvial gold in the Cabry River has been reported since at least 1935 and the site is considered an important County Geological Site and may be recommended for designation as a Geological National Heritage Area.

U.S. Naval Air Station Lough Foyle was a seaplane station at Lough Foyle in Ireland, which was operated by the United States Navy (USN) and commissioned on July 1, 1918 with Commander Henry D. Cooke, USN as the commanding officer. Located near Quigley's Point in County Donegal, and approximately 6 miles (9.7 km) north of Derry in County Londonderry, the station was disestablished in early 1919.

Eglinton railway station served the village of Eglinton in County Londonderry in Northern Ireland. The Londonderry and Coleraine Railway opened the station as Willsborough on 29 November 1852. It was renamed Muff on 1 October 1853, and Eglinton on 1 February 1854. New station buildings were erected between 1873 and 1875 to designs by the architect John Lanyon.It closed on 2 July 1973.

Foyle (Irish: An Feabhal, Ulster Scots: Foyle) is a constituency in the Northern Ireland Assembly. The seat was first used for a Northern Ireland-only election for the Northern Ireland Forum in 1996. Since 1998, it has elected members to the current Assembly. For Assembly elections prior to 1996, the constituency was largely part of the Londonderry constituency. Foyle was a single member constituency in the Parliament of Northern Ireland. It was created in 1929 as one of the five single-member constituencies replacing the former five-member Londonderry constituency. The constituency continued in existence until the Parliament was temporarily suspended in 1972, and then formally abolished in 1973. The seat was held continuously by nationalist candidates and never even contested by unionists, although labour movement candidates sometimes polled well.

Eglinton (Irish: An Mhagh) (formerly known as Muff) is a village in County Londonderry, Northern Ireland. It lies 5.5 miles (8.9 km) east-north-east of Derry, to which it serves as a sleeper village, and 9.5 miles (15.3 km) west-south-west of Limavady. It resides within Derry and Strabane district. The City of Derry Airport, also known as Eglinton Aerodrome and formerly as Londonderry Eglinton Airport, lies a short distance from the village. Eglinton still has an elegant church, former market house, trees around a green and four oaks which started life in Windsor Great Park. The River Muff flows through the village with the afforested Muff Glen being situated just south of the village. At an embankment of Lough Foyle, birdwatchers can find the feeding ground of many seabirds and waders on the mud flats at low tide.

City of Derry Airport (Irish: Aerfort Chathair Dhoire) (IATA: LDY, ICAO: EGAE), previously known as RAF Eglinton and Londonderry Eglinton Airport, is a regional airport located 7 mi (11 km) northeast of Derry, Northern Ireland. It is located on the south bank of Lough Foyle, a short distance from the village of Eglinton and 8 mi (13 km) from the city centre. The airport, also known locally as Eglinton Airport, has experienced a decline in passenger numbers in recent years. In 2022, 163,130 passengers used the airport, having peaked at 438,996 in 2008. The airport is currently a base for the Scottish regional airline Loganair, who operate domestic flights to other parts of the UK. Other airlines who serve the airport include: Ryanair, Air Nostrum and BA Cityflyer.

Royal Naval Air Station Eglinton (RNAS Eglinton, also known as HMS Gannet) was a Royal Navy airbase located 1.3 miles (2.1 km) north east of Eglinton, in County Londonderry, Northern Ireland. It opened as a Royal Air Force Station (RAF Eglinton) in 1941, before being transferred to the Fleet Air Arm in May 1943. The airfield was operational between 1941 and 1966.

Muff (from Irish Magh) is a village, civil parish and townland in County Donegal, Ireland. It is near the mouth of the River Foyle (where it flows into Lough Foyle) and sits close to the border between the Republic of Ireland and Northern Ireland. The village of Culmore and the city of Derry are to the south in Northern Ireland.

Coolkeeragh power station is a power station near Derry in Northern Ireland. The station produces 400 megawatts from a gas-fired combined cycle power plant, constructed on the site of the old Coolkeeragh power station. Ownership of the plant was shared between Coolkeeragh Power Ltd and ESB International (ESBI) but it is now solely owned by ESB International (ESBI), a subsidiary of ESB. Gas is supplied to the station by a pipeline that also serves many towns in Northern Ireland.

Culmore railway station served Culmore and Coolkeeragh in County Londonderry in Northern Ireland. The Londonderry and Coleraine Railway opened the station on 1 October 1853.It closed on 2 July 1973.
