City of Derry Airport (Irish: Aerfort Chathair Dhoire) (IATA: LDY, ICAO: EGAE), previously known as RAF Eglinton and Londonderry Eglinton Airport, is a regional airport located 7 mi (11 km) northeast of Derry, Northern Ireland. It is located on the south bank of Lough Foyle, a short distance from the village of Eglinton and 8 mi (13 km) from the city centre. The airport, also known locally as Eglinton Airport, has experienced a decline in passenger numbers in recent years. In 2022, 163,130 passengers used the airport, having peaked at 438,996 in 2008. The airport is currently a base for the Scottish regional airline Loganair, who operate domestic flights to other parts of the UK. Other airlines who serve the airport include: Ryanair, Air Nostrum and BA Cityflyer.

Eglinton (Irish: An Mhagh) (formerly known as Muff) is a village in County Londonderry, Northern Ireland. It lies 5.5 miles (8.9 km) east-north-east of Derry, to which it serves as a sleeper village, and 9.5 miles (15.3 km) west-south-west of Limavady. It resides within Derry and Strabane district. The City of Derry Airport, also known as Eglinton Aerodrome and formerly as Londonderry Eglinton Airport, lies a short distance from the village. Eglinton still has an elegant church, former market house, trees around a green and four oaks which started life in Windsor Great Park. The River Muff flows through the village with the afforested Muff Glen being situated just south of the village. At an embankment of Lough Foyle, birdwatchers can find the feeding ground of many seabirds and waders on the mud flats at low tide.

Woodvale Road is a cricket ground in Eglinton, Northern Ireland. The home team of the ground is Eglinton Cricket Club who were founded in 1936. It has a capacity of 2,000. The ground has staged two first-class matches and three List A matches, a further two were abandoned without a ball bowled. It also staged a single match between Canada and the Netherlands at the 2005 ICC Trophy. The ground also hosted Ireland's opening match of the Intercontinental Cup against Kenya in 2009. North West Cricket Union wants to make it a fully international ground as it is one of Ireland's most famous cricket venues. It has hosted a Twenty20 match, Ireland against Bangladesh A. It has also hosted North West cup finals and has seen the Australian national team take to the field.

Eglinton railway station served the village of Eglinton in County Londonderry in Northern Ireland. The Londonderry and Coleraine Railway opened the station as Willsborough on 29 November 1852. It was renamed Muff on 1 October 1853, and Eglinton on 1 February 1854. New station buildings were erected between 1873 and 1875 to designs by the architect John Lanyon.It closed on 2 July 1973.

The Greysteel massacre was a mass shooting that took place on the evening of 30 October 1993 in Greysteel, County Londonderry, Northern Ireland. Members of the Ulster Defence Association (UDA), a loyalist paramilitary group, opened fire on civilians in a crowded pub during a Halloween party, killing eight and wounding nineteen. The pub was targeted because it was frequented by Catholics, though two of the victims were Protestant. The group claimed responsibility using their cover name "Ulster Freedom Fighters", saying the attack was revenge for the Shankill Road bombing by the Provisional IRA a week earlier. Four men were sentenced to life imprisonment for the massacre but were released in 2000 under the terms of the Good Friday Agreement.

Greysteel or Gresteel is a village in County Londonderry, Northern Ireland. It lies 9 miles (14 km) to the east of Derry and 7 miles (11 km) to the west of Limavady on the main A2 coast road between Limavady and Derry, overlooking Lough Foyle. It is designated as a Large Village and in the 2001 Census it had a population of 1,229 people, an increase of almost 20% compared to 1991. It is situated within Causeway Coast and Glens district.

Saint Mary's Faughanvale GAA (Irish: CLG Naomh Muire Nuachongbháil) is a Gaelic Athletic Association club based in Greysteel, County Londonderry, Northern Ireland. The club is a member of the Derry GAA and currently cater for Gaelic football, Ladies' Gaelic football. Faughanvale have won the Derry Intermediate Football Championship five times and the Derry Junior Football Championship once. The club's catchment area includes Greysteel, Eglinton, Ballykelly, Enagh, Highlands and parts of Glack. Underage teams up to U-12's play in North Derry league and championships, from U-14 upwards teams compete in All-Derry competitions.

Killywool (possibly from Irish Coille-ghuail, meaning 'wood of the charcoal') is a townland in County Londonderry, Northern Ireland. In the 2021 Census Killywool and the surrounding area had a population of 640 people. It is situated within Causeway Coast and Glens district. The townland is well known for its rare habitats including greater-crested newts, tree moles, bats and land puffins; all protected species, plus the only wild troop of mountain gorillas located on the whole island of Ireland.

Campsey or Campsie (from Irish Camsan or Camasaigh, meaning "River Bends") is a small village in County Londonderry, Northern Ireland. In the 2001 Census it had a population of 195 people. It is near Derry city and within the Derry and Strabane district area. Campsey is an industrial zone with a business park.

Faughanvale railway station served the village of Faughanvale in County Londonderry, Northern Ireland. The Londonderry and Coleraine Railway opened the station on 1 May 1855.It closed on 1 April 1859.

Tamnaherin (possibly from the Irish: Tamhnach Caorthainn) is a townland and small housing estate in County Londonderry, Northern Ireland. In the 2001 Census it had a population of 123 people. It is situated within Derry and Strabane district.

Royal Naval Air Station Maydown (RNAS Maydown; or HMS Shrike) is a former Royal Navy Fleet Air Arm airbase located 4.3 miles (6.9 km) northeast of Derry, County Londonderry and 11.4 miles (18.3 km) west of Limavady, County Londonderry, Northern Ireland.
