The Church of the Holy Christ of Wonders (Spanish: Iglesia del Santo Cristo de las Maravillas) is a Catholic church located at the junction of Jirón Áncash and Sebastián Lorente Avenue. Located in the neighbourhood of Barrios Altos. It is part of the historic centre of Lima, Peru. It is named after the devotion of the same name.

The Cementerio Presbítero Matías Maestro is a cemetery in Lima, the capital city of Peru. It is also a museum, though attempts to make it a museum exclusively have failed. The architectural styles of the mausoleums found within are broad ranging. It houses the remains of several important political, military and literary figures. Most prominent of all the mausoleums is the Panteón de los Próceres where heroes of the War of the Pacific (1879–1884) are buried. The mausoleum's entrance reads "La Nación a sus Defensores" (Meaning "The Nation, to its Defenders").

El Ángel is a Lima Metro station on Line 1. The station is located between Miguel Grau and Presbítero Maestro. It was opened on 3 January 2012 as part of the extension of the line from Miguel Grau to Bayóvar.

El Ángel Cemetery is a cemetery located on the 17th block of Jirón Áncash, in Barrios Altos, between the districts of Lima and El Agustino, in the city of Lima, Peru. It was inaugurated by President Manuel Prado Ugarteche on June 27, 1959, due to the need of the city of Lima to have a new funerary space, since the capacity of the Presbítero Matías Maestro Cemetery had reached its maximum in 1955. It is owned and managed by the Charity of Lima.

The Hospital Civil de la Misericordia, also known as the Hospicio de Insanos or Manicomio del Cercado, was a mental institution that operated in the former Quinta Cortés of the neighbourhood of Barrios Altos, in Lima, Peru, between the years 1859 and 1918. A Civil Guard training school was inaugurated on the former hospital's premises after its closure, which is currently used by the National Police of Peru.

Lima Province is located in the central coast of Peru and is the only province in the country not belonging to any of the twenty-five regions. Its capital is Lima, which is also the nation's capital. Despite its small area, this province is the major industrial and economic powerhouse of the Peruvian economy. It concentrates almost one-third of the country's population and 50% of Peru's GDP in 2012.

Lurigancho-Chosica is a district of Lima Province, Peru, located in the valley of the Rímac River, which it shares with neighboring Chaclacayo and Ate districts. Its capital is the town of Chosica. Its administrative center is located 861 m (2,825 ft) above sea level. According to a 2002 estimate by the INEI, the district has 125,088 inhabitants and a population density of 529 persons/km². In 1999, there were 32,327 households in the district. Its capital, Chosica, is located in the extreme east of the district, near the border with the Province of Huarochirí. Lurigancho counts on a Minor Populated Center inside the urban core of Lima, which is Santa María de Huachipa which is located in the extreme west of the district and adjacent to San Juan de Lurigancho. Other notable urban areas in this zone are Jicamarca and Cajamarquilla, where one of the principal zinc refineries of the country is located. In the mountain zone in proximity to the refinery is located the Jicamarca Radio Observatory.

San Juan de Lurigancho (SJL) is a district in Lima, Peru, located in the area known as Cono Este. It is Peru's most populous district, with a current population that may exceed one million. On the north, it is bordered by the districts of Carabayllo and Huarochirí Province. San Juan de Lurigancho is bordered by Comas, Independencia and Rímac on the west; and Lurigancho on the east. The Rímac River marks the district's border with downtown Lima and El Agustino on the south. The most important urban areas in the district are Mangomarca, Zárate, Las Flores de Lima, Canto Grande and Bayovar. One of the first urban areas in San Juan de Lurigancho is Caja de Agua, which is located at the entrance of the district, and the northern entrance to the district is the Quebrada Canto Grande y Media Luna. Caja de Agua is surrounded by San Cristobal (south side) and the Santa Rosa hills from south to west and by Gramal hill on the north side. The Próceres de la Independencia Avenue separates Caja de Agua from Zárate. Caja de Agua is the seat of the Police Station located in Avenida Lima. A large and convenient market is found in Avenida Lima; "Mercado Modelo de Caja de Agua" which offers value for money products. Another market is "El Bosque". Also, Caja de Agua contains 3 local state schools which are in a very poor conditions, on the brink of being abandoned and closed due to the lack of students; these are "Javier Heraud"; jirón Arequipa. "Cesar Vallejo'; jirón Amazonas and "Tomas Alva Edison"; which is located next to the market "El Bosque".

The Andean Community (Spanish: Comunidad Andina, CAN) is a free trade area with the objective of creating a customs union comprising the South American countries of Bolivia, Colombia, Ecuador, and Peru. The trade bloc was called the Andean Pact until 1996 and came into existence when the Cartagena Agreement was signed in 1969. Its headquarters are in Lima, Peru. The Andean Community has 113 million inhabitants over an area of 4,700,000 km². Its GDP has gone up to US$745.300 billion in 2005, including Venezuela, which was a member at the time. Its estimated PPP of GDP for 2011 amounts to US$902.86 billion, excluding Venezuela.

The Roman Catholic Diocese of Chosica (Latin: Chosicana) is a diocese located in the city of Chosica in the Ecclesiastical province of Lima in Peru.

The Quinta Heeren, formerly known as the Quinta del Carmen, is one of the first private residence condominiums built in Lima around the 1880s.

The Church and Convent of Our Lady of Peñafrancia (Spanish: Iglesia y Convento Máximo de Nuestra Señora de la Peña Francia), better known as St. Clare's Monastery (Spanish: Monasterio de Santa Clara), is a Catholic church, convent and monastery belonging to the Capuchin Poor Clares located in the neighbourhood of Barrios Altos, part of the historic centre of Lima, Peru. The first building is from 1606, but the current temple is from the 19th century. The monastery still occupies a large part of the extensive block in which it is located, and which is surrounded by a number of streets: Cangallo to the west, Huánuco to the east (where the former St. Clare Mill is located), Junín to the south, and Jauja and Áncash to the north. It was declared a Historical Monument in 1972.
