St. John Paul II Catholic High School is a private, coeducational, Catholic high school in Tallahassee, Florida. It is a diocesan school of the Roman Catholic Diocese of Pensacola-Tallahassee and accredited by the Southern Association of Colleges and Schools. SJPII, the first Catholic high school to be founded in Tallahassee, opened in 2001. It graduated its first class in 2004, with the first charter class graduating the next year, in 2005. The St. John Paul II campus initially had a gymnasium, chapel, main building, soccer field, and baseball field. A softball field was added in 2013 and opened for the 2014 season. The school has plans for future expansion.

James S. Rickards High School is a public high school in Tallahassee, Florida, United States. It is a part of Leon County Schools. The school's mascot, originally the Rickards Redskins, was changed to the Rickards Raiders in 2000 because of controversy over the racial connotations of the term "redskin". In 2010, Newsweek ranked Lincoln High School as one of the top 100 high schools in the United States. On the state level, Lincoln has continuously ranked in the 90th percentile among all Florida high schools. Lincoln has also been ranked as one of the highest high schools in Florida in regards to college readiness. The "Best High Schools" report in 2016 & 2022 revealed that Lincoln High boasted the top college-readiness level of all area schools.

The Winterle House (also known as Three Stars) is a historic home in Tallahassee, Florida, United States. It is located at 1111 Paul Russell Road. On February 17, 1998, it was added to the U.S. National Register of Historic Places.

Governor's Square is a super-regional shopping mall located on Apalachee Parkway in Tallahassee, Florida. Its two-level design was a first for northern Florida when it opened in 1979, and was for many years the newest of two enclosed malls in the Tallahassee area, the other being The Centre of Tallahassee, formerly the Tallahassee Mall. The anchor stores are currently JCPenney, Macy's, and Dillard's. Built into a hillside, the mall can be entered either on the first or second level, depending on where a particular entrance is located. The mall's original anchors stores were J. C. Penney, Sears, and Maas Brothers. Maas Brothers was converted to Burdines in 1991. In March 2005, the Burdines store was converted to a Macy's.A 1993 expansion included an additional wing as well as Dillard's becoming the fourth anchor.On December 28, 2018, Sears announced that it would be closing its Governor's Square anchor store as part of a plan to close 80 stores nationwide. The store closed in March 2019. During the COVID-19 pandemic, the vacant store served as a Florida Department of Health monoclonal antibody treatment site.In 2015 the Governor's Square Mall received a $10 million interior and exterior renovation. The mall lies within a relatively affluent trade area less than two miles (3 km) east of downtown.

The Gov. John W. Martin House (also known as Apalachee) is a historic house in Tallahassee, Florida. The residence of governor John W. Martin, it is located within the borders of DeSoto Site Historic State Park. On January 6, 1986, it was added to the U.S. National Register of Historic Places.
