Artigas station

The El Paraíso stampede was a stampede of more than 500 people that occurred in the early-morning hours of 16 June 2018 at the El Paraíso Social Club, also known as Los Cotorros Club, in the El Paraíso urbanization in Caracas, Venezuela. The stampede was the result of a tear gas canister being detonated during a brawl among a group of students from different schools celebrating their proms. At least 19 people died, and according to official police reports, they were caused by asphyxia and polytrauma.

Maternidad is a Caracas Metro station on Line 2. It was opened on 6 November 1988 as part of the extension of the line from La Paz to El Silencio. The station is between Capuchinos and Artigas.

Estadio Brígido Iriarte is a multi-purpose stadium in Caracas, Venezuela. It is currently used mostly for football matches and is the home stadium of Venezuelan Primera División team Atlético Venezuela, as well as second-tier league team Estudiantes de Caracas. The stadium currently holds 10,000 people. It was completely renovated in 2007.

La Paz is a Caracas Metro station on Line 2. It was opened on 4 October 1987 as part of the inaugural section of Line 2 from La Paz to Las Adjuntas and Zoológico. The station served as the northern terminus of Line 2 until 6 November 1988, when the line was extended to El Silencio. The station is between Artigas and La Yaguara.

The El Pinar Zoo (Spanish: Parque Zoológico El Pinar) Also Zoological Park of El Pinar Is the first zoological garden of Caracas, Venezuela inaugurated 13 August 1945 under the presidency of Isaías Medina Angarita. El pinar zoo is located in El Paraiso Parish in the former grounds of the La Vaquera hacienda, which was owned by Juan Vicente Gómez. The State took possession of it in 1935. It occupies an area of 7 hectares. The Park has the "Ecological Brigade" program, which is composed of young people interested in the care of animals and their habitat, who act as guides of the park, help visitors and ensure that they comply with the standards from the park. 23 de Enero is a parish located in the Libertador Bolivarian Municipality west of the city of Caracas, Venezuela. The parish receives its name from the date of the 1958 Venezuelan coup d'état which overthrew dictator Marcos Pérez Jiménez.

Capuchinos is a Caracas Metro station on Lines 2 and 4. The Line 2 station was opened on 6 November 1988 as part of the extension of the line from La Paz to El Silencio. The station is between El Silencio and Maternidad.

Cocodrilos Sports Park is a multi-use stadium in Caracas, Venezuela. It is currently used mostly for football matches and is the part-time home stadium of Caracas Fútbol Club along with Estadio Brígido Iriarte. The stadium holds 3,500 people.

The Astronomical and Meteorological Observatory of Caracas, was created by decree of President Juan Pablo Rojas Paul on September 8, 1888. The observatory was established on Quintana Hill, later changed to Cagigal Hill in honor of the astronomer and mathematician, Colonel Juan Manuel Cagigal, who was the founder of mathematical studies in Venezuela. The hill is also known as Observatory Hill.

YVTO is the callsign of the official time signal from the Juan Manuel Cagigal Naval Observatory in Caracas, Venezuela. The content of YVTO's signal, which is a continuous 1 kW amplitude modulated carrier wave at 5.000 MHz, is much simpler than that broadcast by some of the other time signal stations around the world, such as WWV. The methods of time transmission from YVTO are very limited. The broadcast employs no form of digital time code. The time of day is given in Venezuelan Standard Time (VET), and is only sent using Spanish language voice announcements. YVTO also transmits 100 ms-long beeps of 1,000 Hz every second, except for thirty seconds past the minute. The top of the minute is marked by a 0.5 second 800 Hz tone.The station previously broadcast on 6.100 MHz but appears to have changed to the current frequency by 1990.

Pérez Bonalde is a Caracas Metro station on Line 1. It was opened on 2 January 1983 as part of the inaugural section of Line 1 between Propatria and La Hoyada, and is on Catia Boulevard. The station is between Propatria and Plaza Sucre.The station is named after Juan Antonio Pérez Bonalde, and a 1946 bust of him sits outside the entrance to the station.

Propatria is a Caracas Metro station on Line 1. It was opened on 2 January 1983 as part of the inaugural section of Line 1 between Propatria and La Hoyada, and is located on Avenida 2 de Propatria. It serves as the western terminus of the line. The following station is Pérez Bonalde. Trains run from the station every three minutes.Since December 2019, the metro line has faced technical issues, frequently reducing service to the station.
