Castignano is a comune (municipality) in the Province of Ascoli Piceno in the Italian region Marche, located about 80 kilometres (50 mi) south of Ancona and about 10 kilometres (6 mi) northeast of Ascoli Piceno. Castignano borders the following municipalities: Appignano del Tronto, Ascoli Piceno, Cossignano, Montalto delle Marche, Montedinove, Offida, Rotella. Among its churches are the Sanctuary of San Bernardino da Siena and Santi Pietro e Paolo. Its territory is home to the oldest ever Italic language inscription found, the so-called "Stele of Castignano" (7th-6th centuries BC).

Offida (Italian pronunciation: [ofˈfiːda]) is a comune (municipality) in the Province of Ascoli Piceno in the Italian region Marche, located about 80 km (50 miles) south of Ancona and about 12 km (7 miles) northeast of Ascoli Piceno, on a rocky spur between the valleys of the Tesino (from north) and Tronto (south) rivers. It is a member of the I Borghi più belli d'Italia ("The most beautiful villages of Italy") association.

Mount Ascensione (L'Ascenziò in Ascolano dialect) is a 1,110 m high elevation in the Marche sub-Apennines, located entirely in the province of Ascoli Piceno. It straddles the valleys of Tronto and Tesino, a river that originates just north near Force. The profile of Ascensione has a jagged appearance that suggests different figures: depending on the vantage point, it may resemble the Sleeping Beauty or the profile of Cecco d'Ascoli, a heretic and opponent of Dante Alighieri. Stadio Cino e Lillo Del Duca is a multi-purpose stadium in Ascoli Piceno, Italy. It is currently used mostly for football matches and the home of Ascoli Calcio 1898 F.C. The stadium was built in 1962 and holds 12,461.

Sant'Emidio alle Grotte is a Baroque church in Ascoli Piceno, Italy.Its name refers to Saint Emygdius (Emidius). According to legend, after having been beheaded in 309 near the current church of Sant'Emidio Rosso, the saint walked here with his head in his hands to be buried. The church (known as tempietto, meaning "small temple", for its small size) was built in 1717–1720/21 by commission of bishop Giovanni Gambi, a relative of Pope Clement XI. It consists of a travertine façade which precedes three grottoes housing the saint's sepulture, which have been turned into oratories.
