The Indian Steps Cabin, also known as the Indian Steps Museum, is an historic memorial and museum located in Lower Chanceford Township, York County, Pennsylvania. It was added to the National Register of Historic Places in 1989.

Duncan Island (36LA60,61) is a prehistoric archaeological site located in the Susquehanna River at Martic Township in Lancaster County, Pennsylvania. It underwent study in the 1950s and 1970s. Artifacts dated to the Archaic period (c. 8000 B.C. to 1000 A.D.) were uncovered.Duncan's Island, was settled & owned by Descendants of King Duncan l & King Duncan ll of Scotland, line of John Duncan & Family of Scottish Royalty, many incl Andrew, Charles & relocating to Huntington, Cambria County, Pa including the Clark Duncan kin folk It was listed on the National Register of Historic Places in 1984.

Safe Harbor is an unincorporated community located within Conestoga Township in Lancaster County, Pennsylvania, United States. The general location was an early staging area for Native American tribes traversing the Susquehanna River from the settlements surrounding Conestoga and present day Manor Township. The "Harbor" is an inlet where the Conestoga River from the rest of Lancaster County joins with the Susquehanna River proper, and was known for its plentiful bounty of fish and wildlife that sustained the Conestoga Native Americans for centuries. Safe Harbor and the nearby community of Conestoga were in the national media spotlight in 2001, when President George W. Bush held a photo opportunity at the Safe Harbor Dam power station.The Safe Harbor Park and the Safe Harbor Arboretum are also located within the tiny community.

Airville is an unincorporated community in Lower Chanceford Township, York County, Pennsylvania, United States. Airville is located in the southeastern part of the county where Pennsylvania Route 74 and Pennsylvania Route 425 intersect and is approximately four miles outside Woodbine. Airville has an estimated population of 3100 and includes residents from Lower Chanceford, Peach Bottom, and Fawn townships. The Susquehanna River separates Airville from Lancaster County on its eastern side. Travelers can cross the river via the Norman Wood Bridge along Pennsylvania Route 372, which connects to Quarryville in Lancaster County. Attractions in Airville include Mill Creek Falls Retreat, the Otter Creek Campground and the historical Indian Steps Museum, which are located along Pennsylvania Route 425 and the Susquehanna River. Otter Creek was mentioned in the band Live's song, "The Dam at Otter Creek." Remnants of the Maryland and Pennsylvania Railroad are also scattered throughout Airville, along Muddy Creek.

The McCalls Ferry Farm, also known as the Robert and Matthew McCall Farm, Atkins-Trout Farm, and Kilgore Farm, is an historic, American farm and national historic district located in Lower Chanceford Township in York County, Pennsylvania. It was listed on the National Register of Historic Places in 2000.

The Roberts Farm Site (36LA1) is an historic, American archaeological site that is located above the Conestoga River in Manor Township in Lancaster County, Pennsylvania. It was listed on the National Register of Historic Places in 1986.

The Holtwood Arboretum over 5,000 acres (20 km2), also known as Holtwood Preserve, is a recreation area, arboretum, and wildflower preserve located on New Village Road off Pennsylvania Route 372 in Lancaster County, Holtwood, Pennsylvania. It is open to the public daily without charge. The site is owned by PPL Corporation and provides public recreation, camping, hiking, picnicking, sightseeing, fishing, and hunting. The lower Susquehanna River runs through the preserve, which also contains substantial fish ladders (said to be the largest in the United States) and a museum of Native American artifacts.

Holtwood Dam (also Holtwood Hydroelectric Dam, Holtwood Hydroelectric Plant, McCalls Ferry Dam) is the oldest of three major dams built across the lower Susquehanna River, and the middle location of the three. It was constructed as the McCalls Ferry Dam between 1905 and 1910 by the Pennsylvania Water & Power (PW&P) Company. The dam was renamed Holtwood in honor of two company executives. PW&P merged with Pennsylvania Power & Light (PPL) in 1955. In 2015 Talen Energy took over PPL's generation and immediately sold the Holtwood plant to Brookfield Renewable Energy Partners to comply with federal antitrust requirements.

Holtwood is an unincorporated community in Martic Township, Lancaster County, in the U.S. state of Pennsylvania. Holtwood is the site of the Muddy Run Pumped Storage Hydroelectric Power Plant (172 Bethesda Church Road West, Holtwood, PA 17532), along the Susquehanna River. It pumps water into a reservoir during off-peak hours and uses that water to generate electricity during peak demand hours; it produces over 1,000 megawatts (MW) of power.

Sunnyburn is an unincorporated community in Lower Chanceford Township, York County, Pennsylvania, United States. It is located on Pennsylvania Route 74, three miles south of Airville.
