Central High School is a public high school (grades 9-12) in Memphis, Tennessee, United States. Founded in the early 1900s, it is popularly considered the first high school in Memphis. This, however, is not accurate; in fact, 3 High Schools in Memphis were established before Central: Booker T Washington in 1873 (with the same colors and mascot), Manassas HS in 1899, and Melrose in 1894. Central is often called "THE" High School. It is a part of the Shelby County Optional School system where it is recognized as a school specializing in college preparatory programs. The principal is Gregory McCullough. Central's mascot is the Warrior and the school colors are green and gold. For recognition as the successor to Memphis High School, the first high school for whites in Memphis, Central High's football team, rather than having artwork denoting the "Warrior" mascot, simply has a capital "H", for THE High School

The Southern College of Optometry is a privately owned educational institution located in Memphis, Tennessee. It specializes in optometry and offers a comprehensive program in this field.

Crump Stadium is a sports stadium in Memphis, Tennessee, built in 1934 and significantly downsized in 2006. It was built as a Works Progress Administration (WPA) project with a capacity of 7,500. In 1939 it was enlarged to hold 25,000 spectators. In 1948 and 1949 it staged the Delta Bowl, a college football bowl game. In 1947 the Arkansas–Texas football game was played there. The annual Ole Miss–Tennessee game was also held there in 1960s. Memphis State University (now University of Memphis) home football games were played there until the completion of Memphis Memorial Stadium (now Liberty Bowl Memorial Stadium) in 1965. The stadium was named for the late Memphis political boss E. H. Crump. It is now home to Central High School.

The First Congregational Church and Parish House in Memphis, Tennessee are a historic church and parish house on a single lot at 234 S. Watkins Street. The Georgian Revival-style church is a high one-story church which was built in 1910. It was added to the National Register of Historic Places in 1980.It was deemed "significant both as a fine example of the Georgian Revival style and as the work of prominent Memphis architect Walk Claridge Jones, Sr. A regional leader in the profession, Jones abhorred modem architecture, preferring instead a simplified classical style. The First Congregational Church, with its Ionic portico, rectangular plan and symmetrical fenestration, illustrates this philosophy."

The Pinch District is a historical district of downtown Memphis roughly bordered by the Wolf River lagoon on the west, Market Street on the south, Danny Thomas Boulevard on the east, and A.W. Willis Avenue on the north.

The Rowland J. Darnell House is a historic mansion in Memphis, Tennessee, United States. It was built in 1907 for Rowland Jones Darnell, a lumber dealer from the North. By 1917, it had been acquired by the hardware dealer A. R. Orgill, followed by another hardware dealer named Leslie Martin Stratton from 1919 to 1924. It was purchased by The Nineteenth Century Club in 1926.The house was designed in the Colonial Revival architectural style, with Beaux Arts features. It has been listed on the National Register of Historic Places since March 26, 1979.

Memphis Technical High School, originally Memphis Vocational School, was a high school that served downtown Memphis, Tennessee from 1911 to 1987. The school building that exists today was constructed in 1927, and is operated by the Shelby County School System as the Northwest Preparatory Academy, serving children who are unable to function in a regular school environment.

Baptist Health Sciences University, formerly Baptist College of Health Sciences, is a private college in Memphis, Tennessee. It is operated by Baptist Memorial Health Care. The school was created through the expansion of the School of Nursing (est. 1912) and School of Radiologic Technology (est. 1956) from diploma programs into a college in 1994. It offers Bachelor's degrees in healthcare. They recently expand their programs to include a school of Osteopathic Medicine with classes expected to begin in fall 2024.

The school was established in 2023, and holds pre-accreditation status with the American Osteopathic Association's Commission on Osteopathic College Accreditation.

The Abraham Lowenstein House is a historic house in Memphis, Tennessee. It was built in 1901 for Abraham Lowenstein, a Jewish Swiss immigrant who co-founded a department store in Memphis with his brothers. It belonged to the Beethoven Club from 1922 to 1946.The house was designed in the Queen Anne architectural style. It has been listed on the National Register of Historic Places since January 5, 1984.
