Newtown Friends School is a coeducational prekindergarten through eighth grade Quaker independent school founded in 1948 and located in Bucks County, Pennsylvania. Though its name and address indicate it is in Newtown Township, it is physically located in Middletown Township. Newtown Friends' campus adjoins with that of George School. Newtown Friends has one or two sections of sixteen to eighteen students at every grade level. Enrollment for the 2019–20 school year is 250 students. The curriculum at Newtown Friends includes a full range of subject areas including language arts, math, social studies, Latin (grades 5 through 8) or Spanish (grades PreK through 8), science, library, music and drama, art, computer and physical education. Learning at Newtown Friends takes place through a combination of hands-on experiences, group and individual projects, interdisciplinary approaches, as well as through the more traditional methods. Newtown Friends has a very active intergenerational program with Pennswood, a neighboring Quaker continuing life-care facility. The community service program is built into the curriculum and provides opportunities for all sixth through eighth graders to go out into the community on a regular basis. Community service in the earlier grades occurs through specific projects undertaken within the school which benefit outside agencies. Newtown Friends is a candidate school for the International Baccalaureate Middle Years Program. In fall 2000, Newtown Friends opened a new library media center and five new Lower School classrooms. In summer 2006, NFS did major renovations in its Upper School wing resulting in a new science laboratory and classroom, as well as improved spaces for five other classrooms. Newtown Friends School is accredited by the Pennsylvania Association of Independent Schools (PAIS).

Edgemont, also known as The Jenks Homestead, is a historic home located in Middletown Township, Bucks County, Pennsylvania. It was originally built about 1820–1823, and is a 2+1⁄2-story, five bay, stuccoed stone dwelling in the Federal style. About 1830, a rear kitchen ell was added and later modified in the 1870s. The house was restored in the 1970s.It was added to the National Register of Historic Places in 1977.

Core Creek is a tributary of the Neshaminy Creek in Bucks County, Pennsylvania. Rising in Lower Makefield Township, it flows in the Stockton Formation until it meets its confluence with the Neshaminy in Middletown Township. At one time it powered seven mills along its length.

Twelfth Street Meeting House was a Quaker meeting house in Philadelphia, Pennsylvania. It was built on the west side of 12th Street, south of Market Street, 1812–1813, incorporating architectural elements from Philadelphia's Greater Meeting House (1755). The building was dismantled and relocated to Newtown, Bucks County, Pennsylvania in 1972, and reconstructed, 1973–1974. Since then it has served as the meeting house for George School.

George School is a private Quaker (Society of Friends) boarding and day high school located on a rural campus in Middletown Township, Bucks County, Pennsylvania (Newtown postal address). It was founded at its present site in 1893, and has grown from a single building (a still standing Quaker meeting house) to over 20 academic, athletic, and residential buildings. Besides the usual college preparatory courses, including an International Baccalaureate program, the school features several distinct programs deriving from its Quaker heritage. These include community service requirements, an emphasis on social justice and environmental concerns, required arts courses, and community-based decision making.

George School station is a defunct railroad station at George School, a private Quaker boarding and day high school in Middletown Township, Bucks County, Pennsylvania. The original station was built by the Philadelphia, Newtown and New York Railroad in 1893 and burned in 1905. It was replaced with a station that was moved from Huntingdon Valley, further down the Newtown Branch. That station was demolished in 1971. A cinder 'platform' was used as a flagstop by both the Reading Railroad and SEPTA Regional Rail. SEPTA closed the station and several others in 1983 when train service was suspended.

Newtown Creek is a tributary, rising near Stoop Road in Newtown Township, Bucks County, Pennsylvania, United States. It is part of the Delaware River watershed and is located entirely in Bucks County, Pennsylvania. The Newtown Creek Bridge over Centre Avenue was added to the National Register of Historic Places in 1988.

Twining Farm, also known as the David and Elizabeth Twining Farm, is a historic home and farm located at Newtown Township, Bucks County, Pennsylvania. The stone farmhouse was built in two stages. They are a 2+1⁄2-story, stone eastern section, with a later three-bay, 2+1⁄2-story western addition built in 1832. A frame wing and bow window were added about 1940. Also on the property are a contributing stable, chicken house, and bank barn complex. The farm was featured in three of four Newtown farmscape paintings by noted artist Edward Hicks (1780-1849). Hicks had resided for 10 years at the farm as the foster son of Elizabeth and David Twining.It was added to the National Register of Historic Places in 1982.

Langhorne Borough is a borough in Bucks County, Pennsylvania, United States. The population was 1,622 at the 2010 census. The mailing address "Langhorne" is used for Langhorne Borough but it is also used broadly to describe the majority of surrounding Middletown Township, which for the most part uses Langhorne's ZIP code of 19047. Sesame Place, while physically located in surrounding Middletown Township, has Langhorne as its mailing address. Langhorne also includes the northeastern part of Lower Southampton Township, which uses the ZIP code 19053. Langhorne Borough is approximately six miles west of the Delaware River. Langhorne Manor is a separate borough that borders Langhorne Borough proper to the south.

Newtown station is a defunct railroad station in Newtown, Bucks County, Pennsylvania. Built by the Reading Railroad, it later served SEPTA Regional Rail's Fox Chase/Newtown Line. SEPTA closed the station in 1983.

Tomlinson-Huddleston House, also known as The Signature House, is a historic home located in Langhorne, Bucks County, Pennsylvania. It was built in 1783, and is a 2+1⁄2-story, three bay, stone dwelling with a gable roof in the Georgian style. It has a two-story, rear brick and frame addition with a gable roof added about 1820. Another frame addition was added to the rear about 1965. The oldest section features a total of nine stones with carved initials, names, and dates. The house was restored in the 1940s.It was added to the National Register of Historic Places in 1983. It is located in the Langhorne Historic District, listed in 1987.

Harewood and Beechwood, also known as Woods School, are two historic homes located about four miles apart in Middletown Township, Bucks County, Pennsylvania. Harewood was originally built about 1788 as a farmhouse. The original structure is located behind the main house constructed in 1906. Harewood is an irregularly shaped, multi-level dwelling with a five-story main section. The main section has a broken-hipped roof and features Palladian windows. Beechwood was built in 1853, and is a large 2+1⁄2-story, fieldstone dwelling with a gable roof. It has a two-story, stuccoed stone rear addition. Both houses were built as country mansions and later acquired as a school for handicapped children known as the Woods School. Harewood was acquired in 1924 and Beechwood in 1944.It was added to the National Register of Historic Places in 1980.
