Sabana Grande station

City Market Shopping Mall is an important shopping center located east of Caracas and in the geographical center of the Gran Caracas. It is part of the district of Sabana Grande designed by architect Enrique Feldman., Overall, he City Market Mall has a structure of 20 thousand square meters, five floors and 222 premises. The William Phelps Ornithological Collection, also known as the Phelps Ornithological Museum, is a museum of natural sciences dedicated to the study, exhibition and preservation of the birds of Venezuela and the rest of Latin America. The collection is located east of Caracas and in the geographic center of Greater Caracas, in the heart of the Sabana Grande district. The William Phelps ornithological collection is the most important in Latin America and it is also the most important private collection in the world in its research area.In this private museum one will find important Phelps family study books, as well as 8000 scientific volumes in the library, more than 83,000 anatomical specimens, more than 80,000 skins, etc. For the year 1990, it was said that the William Phelps Ornithological Collection contained more than 76,300 skins and a small number of anatomical specimens, in the Gran Sabana Building of Sabana Grande. The Phelps library in 1990 already had 6,000 books, 800 journals and 5,500 reprints, mostly from natural sciences.

El Recreo Shopping Mall is a large shopping mall in the commercial, financial, tourist and cultural district of Sabana Grande, Caracas, Venezuela. According to Top Shopping Centers magazine, the mall averaged three million visitors per month in 2013-2014. At 28 metres (92 ft) and seven floors below grade, it is Latin America's deepest construction and part of the late-1990s real-estate boom in Sabana Grande. El Recreo Shopping Mall was designed by Venezuelan architects Carlos Gómez de Llarena and Moisés Benacerraf. The shopping center's twin towers—the 125-metre (410 ft) Citibank and Movilnet Towers—are the tallest skyscrapers in the Venezuelan capital. The mall is connected to the Gran Meliá Caracas Hotel.

The Boulevard of Sabana Grande is an important leisure and shopping area located in eastern Caracas in the geographic center of the Metropolitan District of Caracas. It is a pedestrian-only, tree-shaded public space. In 2011, the boulevard of Sabana Grande went through a rehabilitation process founded by PDVSA La Estancia. A commercial and financial district, Sabana Grande is the commercial corridor, and a tourist district of Caracas. The boulevard of Sabana Grande is home to the most important ornithological collection in Latin America, the William Phelps Ornithological Collection. Until the beginning of the 20th century, it was called Calle Real (Royal Street) because it was the town's main road.

The Sabana Grande district is divided into several middle class neighborhoods located in the Parroquia El Recreo of the Libertador Municipality, in the geographical center of the Metropolitan District of Caracas and owes its name to the old town of Sabana Grande.

Plaza Venezuela is a Caracas Metro station on Lines 1 and 3. The Line 1 station was opened on 27 March 1983 as part of the extension of the line from La Hoyada to Chacaíto. The station is between Colegio de Ingenieros and Sabana Grande.The Line 3 station was opened on 18 December 1994 as the northern terminus of the inaugural section of the line, from Plaza Venezuela to El Valle. The adjacent station is Ciudad Universitaria.The name of the station originates from nearby Plaza Venezuela.

Bello Monte is a Caracas Metro station on Line 5. It is an eastern terminus of the line. The station was opened on 3 November 2015 as part of the first section of the line, which only included two stations — Zona Rental and Bello Monte. The name of the station originates from Bello Monte, a neighborhood where the station is located.

The Bolivarian National Intelligence Service (Spanish: Servicio Bolivariano de Inteligencia Nacional, SEBIN) is the premier intelligence agency in Venezuela. SEBIN is an internal security force subordinate to the Vice President of Venezuela since 2012 and is dependent on Vice President Delcy Rodríguez. SEBIN has been described as the political police force of the Bolivarian government.

Zona Rental is a Caracas Metro station on Lines 4 and 5. It is a terminus of both lines. Line 4 station was opened on 19 July 2006 as part of the inaugural section of the line between Capuchinos and Zona Rental. The adjacent station is station is Parque Central. On 3 November 2015 the first section of Line 5 was opened. It consists of only two stations, Zona Rental and Bello Monte.

La Chiquinquirá Church (Spanish: Iglesia La Chiquinquirá) is a church in Caracas, Venezuela. La Chiquinquirá Church is the largest Catholic church in Caracas, located in a fortress-like building with a high tower. The church contains some notable statues and paintings. The church is dedicated to Our Lady of the Rosary of Chiquinquirá.

Chacaíto is a Caracas Metro station on Line 1. It was opened on 27 March 1983 as the eastern terminus of the extension of Line 1 from La Hoyada. On 23 April 1988 the line was extended to Los Dos Caminos. The station is between Sabana Grande and Chacao.

María Lionza is a large statue depicting the titular goddess, María Lionza, riding a tapir. The original is located on Sorte mountain in Yaracuy, said to be the goddess' home. A replica is located between lanes of the Francisco Fajardo freeway next to the University City campus of the Central University of Venezuela, in Caracas. The original was created by Alejandro Colina in 1951 to sit outside the university's Olympic Stadium for that year's Bolivarian Games; it was moved to the highway in 1953 and, after several years in storage with the replica on display in its place, was illicitly relocated to Sorte in 2022. The replica is a cast made by Silvestre Chacón in 2004; it has received generally negative reactions, and its construction damaged the original. Colina often depicted indigenous figures like María Lionza, and it is said to be his most famous sculpture. In the statue, the goddess is shown nude, which is unusual for representations of her. Nevertheless, the statue, and versions of it, are worshiped by her followers.
