Urasoe-Maeda Station (浦添前田駅, Urasoe-Maeda-eki) is a railway station on the Okinawa Urban Monorail (Yui Rail) in Urasoe, Okinawa Prefecture, Japan.

Urasoe Castle (浦添城, Urasoe jō, Okinawan: Urashii Gushiku) is a Ryukyuan gusuku which served as the capital of the medieval Okinawan principality of Chūzan prior to the unification of the island into the Ryukyu Kingdom, and the moving of the capital to Shuri. In the 14th century, Urasoe was the largest castle on the island, but today only ruins remain.

Urasoe yōdore (浦添ようどれ or 浦添極楽山) is one of the three royal mausoleums of the Ryukyu Kingdom, along with Tamaudun at Shuri Castle and Izena Tamaudun near Izena Castle in Izena, Okinawa. It is located in Urasoe, Okinawa, in a cave on a cliff to the northeast of Urasoe Castle. It houses the remains of three rulers of the Ryukyu Islands, along with one king of the Ryūkyū Kingdom separated from the others by several centuries.

The Okinawa Prefecture Archaeological Center (沖縄県立埋蔵文化財センター, Okinawa-ken Maizō Bunkazai Sentā) opened in Nishihara, Okinawa Prefecture, Japan in 1990. The facility researches, preserves, and utilizes through display and other activities the prefecture's Buried Cultural Properties. As of the early Reiwa era, around four thousand such sites have been identified in Okinawa Prefecture, from the Palaeolithic to modern times, including shell mounds, settlements, tombs, gusuku, underwater sites, and war ruins.

Urasoe (浦添市, Urasoe-shi, Okinawan: Urashii) is a city located in Okinawa Prefecture, Japan. The neighboring municipalities are Naha to the south, Ginowan to the north, and Nishihara to the east. As of November 2012, the city has an estimated population of 113,718 and a population density of 5,956.9 persons per km2. The total area is 19.09 km2.United States Marine Corps base Camp Kinser is located on the city's coast.

Chūzan (中山) was one of three kingdoms which controlled Okinawa in the 14th century. Okinawa, previously controlled by a number of local chieftains or lords, loosely bound by a paramount chieftain or king of the entire island, split into these three more solidly defined kingdoms within a few years after 1314; the Sanzan period thus began, and would end roughly one hundred years later, when Chūzan's King Shō Hashi conquered Hokuzan in 1419 and Nanzan in 1429. The united Okinawan state was called the Ryūkyū Kingdom, but would continue to be referred to as "Chūzan" in various official documents of the Ryukyuan royal government, and those of many other states in the region.

Ryukyu University Museum (Fūjukan) (琉球大学博物館（風樹館）, Ryūkyū Daigaku Hakubutsukan (Fūjukan)) is a university museum affiliated with the University of the Ryukyus in Nishihara, Okinawa Prefecture, Japan. Of the collection of 160,000 items, which includes zoological type specimens and cultural artefacts such as the remains of the sundial from Shuri Castle and examples of warazan, some fifteen hundred are included in the permanent exhibition.
