The Dominican Republic Taekwondo Federation, is the governing body for the sport of taekwondo in the Dominican Republic.

Universidad APEC (Universidad Acción Pro-Educación y Cultura) (UNAPEC) is a private university located in Santo Domingo, Dominican Republic. It was founded in 1965 under the name of Instituto de Estudios Superiores (Institute of Higher Studies). Management, Spanish and Bilingual Executive Secretarial Science, and Accounting, were the first majors offered by this university. In 1968, the government of the Dominican Republic granted APEC accreditation as a university with the right to award higher education degrees. The university changed its name to the current one (Universidad APEC) on August 11, 1983; such change having been approved by the Dominican government in 1985.

Centro Olímpico Juan Pablo Duarte (translation: Juan Pablo Duarte Olympic Center) is a multi-venued athletic complex in Santo Domingo, Dominican Republic. It was initially built for the 1974 Central American and Caribbean Games, and also hosted multiple venues of the 2003 Pan American Games.As of 2011, the complex has fallen into disrepair and efforts are underway to preserve the complex and maintain it.

The station is between Manuel Arturo Peña Batlle and Juan Bosch on Line 1, and between Juan Ulises García Saleta and Colonel Rafael Tomás Fernández on Line 2.This is an underground station, built below the intersection of Avenida Máximo Gómez and Avenida John F. Kennedy. It is named to honor Juan Pablo Duarte.

The station is between Juan Bosch and Joaquín Balaguer.This is an underground station, built below Avenida Máximo Gómez. It is named to honor Casandra Damirón.

Félix Sánchez Olympic Stadium (Spanish: Estadio Olímpico Félix Sánchez) is a multi-purpose stadium in Santo Domingo, Dominican Republic, built in 1974 for the XII Central American & Caribbean Games.

Eduardo Brito National Theater (Spanish: Teatro Nacional Eduardo Brito) is part of the Plaza de la Cultura (Culture Plaza) complex, located in Santo Domingo, Dominican Republic. The theatre opened on August 16, 1973 and is the centerpiece of the complex. It is surrounded by several museums and cultural institutions. The complex is located on the Avenida Máximo Gomez, a central artery of the city of Santo Domingo. In 1977, it hosted the Miss Universe pageant. In 2006, the theatre was named after Eduardo Brito, a famous Dominican opera singer, by presidential decree. The theatre was designed by Dominican architect Teófilo Carbonell and it was opened on August 16, 1973. The theatre's main hall, Sala Carlos Piantini, is named after the Dominican violinist and conductor who was the theatre's first musical director. The hall seats 1,600 spectators. The 24 by 25 meters stage can easily accommodate 250 people, while the orchestra can seat 120 musicians. Another hall, Sala Ravelo, is named after a Dominican musician and can seat 189 spectators. This secondary hall is dedicated exclusively to theatrical productions. The theatre's facade is articulated by classic arches made of travertine marble. The building has four levels that, in addition to the two main halls, house the administrative offices, a reception hall, the Sala de la Cultura (Culture Hall) and a bar. The Sala de la Cultura, with a capacity of 220 spectators, was created for piano concerts, chamber concerts, symposia, seminars, and cultural events of similar scale. Other institutions located within the building are the Biblioteca del Teatro (Theatre's Library), which was funded by Cuban artist Teresita Jimenez and the French embassy, and the Centro de Recuperación, Conservación y Difusión de la Música Dominicana (Center for Recovery, Preservation and Dissemination of Dominican Music), which stores historical information related to Dominican music.

Ciudad Colonial (Spanish for "Colonial City") is the historic central neighborhood of the Dominican Republic's capital Santo Domingo. It is the oldest continuously inhabited European-established settlement in the Americas. The area has been declared a World Heritage Site by UNESCO. It is also known as Zona Colonial (Colonial Zone) or more colloquially as "La Zona" (The Zone). The Ciudad Colonial is located on the west bank of the Ozama River, which bisects the city. It covers 1.06 km2 (0.41 sq mi) bounded by a walled perimeter. It is an important section of the city due to the high number of landmarks, including Alcázar de Colón, Fortaleza Ozama, Catedral de Santa María la Menor, and others. The area is the main tourist attraction of Santo Domingo, even though the main sites of governmental and commercial activity are now in the more modern parts of the city.

Colonel Rafael Tomás Fernández is a Santo Domingo Metro station on Line 2. It was open on 1 April 2013 as part of the inaugural section of Line 2 between María Montez and Eduardo Brito. The station is located between Juan Pablo Duarte and Mauricio Báez.This is an underground station built below Avenida John F. Kennedy and Expreso V Centenario. It is named in honor of Rafael Tomás Fernández.
