South Trenton, New Jersey

Stokely-Van Camp Industrial Complex is located in Trenton, Mercer County, New Jersey, United States. The Van Camp's company built the cannery to make baked beans under the direction of Gilbert Van Camp and later became Stokely-Van Camp. The building was built in 1845 and was added to the National Register of Historic Places on March 11, 1983.

The Mott School and Second Street School are historic former school buildings in Trenton, New Jersey. Together they cover the continuum of education in the area. The Second Street School, formerly known as the Nottingham Township School, was built in 1854 when public education was voluntary and non-standardized. The Mott School was built in stages from 1876-1911 during the era of institutionalization and centralization of public schooling. It continued in use until 1980.

Lamberton was the name of a port community on the Delaware River in Mercer County, in the U.S. state of New Jersey. It was annexed by the city of Trenton as part of South Trenton in 1856. It is now known simply as Waterfront.Lamberton is often incorrectly attributed as the birthplace of Zebulon Pike, for whom Pikes Peak (in Colorado) was named, though the explorer was born in another Lamberton, now known as Lamington, in Bedminster Township in Somerset County.

Riverview Cemetery is a historic cemetery located at 870 Centre Street in the city of Trenton, New Jersey in Mercer County, New Jersey, United States. A number of notables are interred there, including Civil War Union Army Major General and New Jersey Governor George B. McClellan, whose grave is marked by the tallest monument in the cemetery. His wife, Mary Ellen Marcy McClellan, is interred with him.

Cass Street is a station on the River Line light rail system, located on Cass Street at Route 129 in Trenton, New Jersey. It is very nearly directly across Route 129 from New Jersey State Prison. Trenton Thunder Ballpark is located five blocks away down Cass Street, while both the Hamilton Avenue stop and CURE Insurance Arena are located a few blocks north on Route 129. Southbound service from the station is available to the various stops along the New Jersey side of the Delaware River, terminating in Camden. Northbound service is available to the Trenton Transit Center. The station opened on March 15, 2004, and is the southwesternmost River Line station in Trenton.

Trenton Thunder Ballpark, formerly known as Mercer County Waterfront Park and Arm & Hammer Park, is a ballpark in Trenton, New Jersey. It is the home park for the Trenton Thunder, a collegiate summer baseball team of the MLB Draft League. They were previously a Double-A level Minor League Baseball team of the Eastern League (1994–2020). For 2021, it served as temporary home of Triple-A East's Buffalo Bisons, as their regular stadium, Sahlen Field, was being used by the Toronto Blue Jays due to travel restrictions brought on by the COVID-19 pandemic. The official seating capacity is 6,440.

The New Jersey State Prison (NJSP), formerly known as Trenton State Prison, is a state men's prison in Trenton, New Jersey operated by the New Jersey Department of Corrections. It is the oldest prison in New Jersey and one of the oldest correctional facilities in the United States. It is the state's only completely maximum security institution, housing the most difficult and/or dangerous male offenders in the inmate population. NJSP operates two security units and provides a high level of custodial supervision and control. Professional treatment services, such as education and social work, are a priority at the facility. The Bureau of State Use Industries operated the bedding and clothing shops that were once located in Shop Hall at the facility. These industries have been relocated to South Woods State Prison. NJSP also housed New Jersey's death row for men and execution chamber until the state abolished capital punishment in 2007. One notable inmate is Jesse Timmendequas, who was formerly on death row for the rape and murder of 7-year-old Megan Kanka. This crime inspired the passing of Megan's Law, which requires communities to be notified when a convicted sex offender moves into their area.

Capital Preparatory Charter High School was a charter public high school located in Trenton, New Jersey, that served students in ninth through twelfth grades from Trenton and Ewing Township. The school, which opened in August 2008, was shuttered in June 2011 in the wake of issues with its financial operations. An audit conducted by the New Jersey Department of Education's Office of Fiscal Accountability and Compliance found a $300,000 deficit, among other issues, and the school surrendered its charter in May 2011 after two 90-day probationary periods and will close at the conclusion of the 2010–11 school year.As of the 2010–11 school year, the school had an enrollment of 304 students and 19.0 classroom teachers (on an FTE basis), for a student–teacher ratio of 16.00:1. There were 187 students (61.5% of enrollment) eligible for free lunch and 22 (7.2% of students) eligible for reduced-cost lunch.

The Hog Island Cranes, located in Trenton, New Jersey, are two of 28 locomotive steam gantry cranes built in 1917 by the McMyler-Interstate Company of Cleveland, Ohio, for the Hog Island, Philadelphia, shipyard. They helped produce warships during World War I, are representative of an important era of heavy lifting equipment, and played an important role in 20th-century waterfront technology. They were added to the National Register of Historic Places on June 17, 1980, for their significance in commerce, engineering, industry, and transportation.

Roebling Machine Shop is located in Trenton, Mercer County, New Jersey, United States. The building was built in 1890 and added to the National Register of Historic Places on September 4, 1997.

In and Out Social Club is located in Trenton, Mercer County, New Jersey, United States. The building was built in 1893 and was added to the National Register of Historic Places on March 26, 1987. It was founded on September 2, 1889 for "social, intellectual, and recreative purposes." Its significance lies primarily in that the building was designed and built specifically for a social club based in the community. It largely retains its original appearance.

Nearly 1,000 people were at the Art All Night event located at Roebling Wire Works Building, in Trenton, New Jersey on June 17, 2018, when multiple people began to shoot at one another, with one individual killed and 22 injured.
