Helms Apartments

Upton Apartments is a historic building in Ogden, Utah. It was built in 1925 by the Upton Masonry Company, with a "somewhat ornate brick exterior." It has been listed on the National Register of Historic Places since December 31, 1987.

Ogden is a city in and the county seat of Weber County, Utah, United States, approximately 10 miles (16 km) east of the Great Salt Lake and 40 miles (64 km) north of Salt Lake City. The population was 87,321 in 2020, according to the US Census Bureau, making it Utah's eighth largest city. The city served as a major railway hub through much of its history, and still handles a great deal of freight rail traffic which makes it a convenient location for manufacturing and commerce. Ogden is also known for its many historic buildings, proximity to the Wasatch Mountains, and as the location of Weber State University. Ogden is a principal city of the Ogden–Clearfield, Utah Metropolitan Statistical Area (MSA), which includes all of Weber, Morgan, Davis, and Box Elder counties. The 2010 Census placed the Metro population at 597,159. In 2010, Forbes rated the Ogden-Clearfield MSA as the 6th best place to raise a family. Ogden has had a sister city relationship to Hof in Germany since 1954.

The Weber County Main Library, at 2464 Jefferson Ave. in Ogden, Utah, was listed on the National Register of Historic Places in 2019.It is a New Formalist style building designed by architect John L. Piers (1922–1997) and built in 1968. It is 230 by 80 feet (70 m × 24 m) in plan.Others involved in its creation are Kenneth E. Hasenoehrl and Donald W. Mathewson as associate architects, and Edmund W. Allen.Piers also received assistance from Charlotte, North Carolina-based Galvin-Van Buren Associates.

The U.S. Forest Service Building is a historic building within the Ogden Central Bench Historic District in Ogden, Utah, United States, owned by the United States federal government. Located at 507 25th Street, it is listed as a Historic Federal Building (GSA Building #: UT0010ZZ), and was constructed during the years 1933–1934. Its primary task was to provide offices for the U.S. Forest Service Intermountain Region, the Experimental Station, and the Supply Depot. The building was listed on the National Register of Historic Places in 2006.

The Heber Scowcroft House is a historic two-story house in Ogden, Utah. It was built in 1909 for Heber Scowcroft, an immigrant from England who moved to Utah with his family in 1880 after converting to the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints. Scowcroft later worked as the vice president of John Scowcroft and Son, a wholesale dry goods company founded by his father and based in the Scowcroft Warehouse. The house was designed in the Colonial Revival style by architect Moroni Charles Woods. It has been listed on the National Register of Historic Places since December 13, 1991.
