Alba Adriatica-Nereto-Controguerra (Italian: Stazione di Alba Adriatica-Nereto-Controguerra) is a railway station serving the towns of Alba Adriatica, Nereto and Controguerra in the region of Abruzzo, Italy. The station is located on the Adriatic railway and the train services are operated by Trenitalia and Ferrovia Adriatico Sangritana.

Tortoreto Italian pronunciation: [tortoˈreto] (Teramano: Tërtërètë) is a coastal town and comune of the province of Teramo in the Abruzzo region of Italy. It has two distinct parts. The old town is on a hill not far from the Adriatic Sea. The new part, usually referred to as Tortoreto Lido, is seaside and located next to SS 16. Tortoreto can be reached by direct rail service or by flying to the Pescara airport and then travelling 45 kilometres (28 mi) north. The comune of Alba Adriatica was created in 1956 by splitting it off from Tortoreto.

The Tronto (Latin: Truentus) is a 115-kilometre (71 mi) long Italian river that arises at Monti della Laga and ends in the Adriatic Sea at Porto d'Ascoli, San Benedetto del Tronto. It traverses the Lazio, Marche, and Abruzzo regions of Italy. The source of the Tronto is in the Monti della Laga mountain range in the province of Rieti. Monte Gorzano is north of the source of the river and Lake Campotosto is south of the source of the river. The source of the river is near the place where the provinces of Rieti, Teramo, and L'Aquila meet. From its source in the Monti della Laga mountains, the Tronto flows northwest near Amatrice and Lago di Scandarello and crosses the border into the province of Ascoli Piceno near Accumoli. From there, it flows northeast and flows past Arquata del Tronto and then curves east and flows past Acquasanta Terme. The river then flows northeast and curves east and flows past Ascoli Piceno, where it receives its largest tributary, the Castellano. The river continues flowing east near Folignano and eventually forms the border between the provinces of Ascoli Piceno and Teramo near Sant'Egidio alla Vibrata and Castel di Lama. The river continues flowing east near Spinetoli, Monsampolo del Tronto, and Colonnella and finally enters the Adriatic Sea by Martinsicuro and Porto d'Ascoli.

The source of the river is in the Monti della Laga range southwest of Montagna dei Fiori. The river flows eastward and curves northeast near Civitella del Tronto. The river then curves southeast near Sant'Egidio alla Vibrata and the border with the province of Ascoli Piceno. Finally, the river flows east near Sant'Omero and enters the Adriatic Sea near Giulianova and Tortoreto Lido.

Corropoli (locally Currùppië) is a town and comune in Teramo province in the Abruzzo region of eastern Italy. In recent years the town has had a population of just under 4000 individuals. The commune has approximately 1300 families and 1500 habitations. The gentilic for the town is Corropolesi. Corropoli takes its name from the word "Ripoli", an ancient neolithic settlement located nearby. These ruins were discovered by Concezio Rosa, a physician from Corropoli, in 1871. Corropoli internment camp, in Corropoli, in the province of Teramo, was one of several internment camps set up by the fascist government following the entry of Italy into World War II, to sit foreigners and anti-fascists. It operated from January 1941 to May 1944, with a maximum capacity of 150 people. Irredentist Slavic and Italian communists were interned and after September 8, 1943 it also served as a concentration camp for Jews.
