Shelton is a village in Buffalo and Hall counties, Nebraska, United States. It is part of the Kearney, Nebraska Micropolitan Statistical Area. The population was 1,059 at the 2010 census. It is located west of Grand Island along both the Union Pacific Railroad and U.S. Route 30. Nebraska Link 10-D connects Shelton with Interstate 80.

George Meisner House is a rural mansion located approximately one mile north of the town of Shelton, Nebraska. The house was constructed in 1893-1894 and was built in the Queen Anne style. In about 1915, during an "anti-Victorian" period, it was remodeled to more Neo-Classical styling. It is a two-story frame house on a raised basement of Colorado limestone. When completed it "was described as a residence that 'excels in every respect, any other in central Nebraska' (Shelton Clipper, Aug. 17, 1894)". It was a home of George Meisner, a rancher, landowner, and businessman. Besides the house, two other contributing buildings were included in the listing: a two-story frame carriage barn and an adjacent one-story frame garage. In 1988, the house was added to the National Register of Historic Places.

KPVA-LP (92.7 FM) was a radio station licensed to Shelton, Nebraska, United States. The station was owned by Platte Valley Educational Radio, and broadcast a religious format. On May 11, 2012, the licensee requested the cancellation of its license. The license was cancelled by the Federal Communications Commission and the call sign deleted from its database on May 31, 2012.

It was added to the National Register of Historic Places in 2000.It is located on a triangular property on U.S. Route 30 on the southeast edge of the town. It has also been known as the Collins Modern Service Station and as the Collins Point Branch of the Bank of Wood River.

The Cornhusker Army Ammunition Plant was built by the US army beginning in 1942 to produce munitions during World War II. The plant produced munitions during World War II, the Korean War, and the Vietnam War. It is located 6 miles (10 km) west of Grand Island, Nebraska. It is currently an EPA Superfund site because of groundwater contamination by explosives and soil contamination by explosives and heavy metals. The plant occupies 12,042 acres (4,873 ha).
