Eagleswood Township is a township in Ocean County, in the U.S. state of New Jersey. As of the 2020 United States census, the township's population was 1,722, the highest recorded in any decennial count and an increase of 119 (+7.4%) from the 2010 census count of 1,603, which in turn reflected an increase of 162 (+11.2%) from the 1,441 counted in the 2000 census.Eagleswood Township was incorporated as a township by an act of the New Jersey Legislature on March 17, 1874, from portions of Stafford Township. Portions of the township were taken to form Beach Haven (November 11, 1890) and Long Beach Township (March 23, 1899).

West Creek is an unincorporated community and hamlet located within Eagleswood Township in Ocean County, in the U.S. state of New Jersey.

The strafing of the Little Egg Harbor Intermediate School was an incident in Little Egg Harbor Township, New Jersey, United States, in 2004, when a military aircraft on a training mission unintentionally discharged 27 cannon rounds while attempting to operate an aircraft mounted laser. The aircraft was within the training range, as was the target that the laser was pointed at, which was approximately 90 degrees to the side of the aircraft. However, the cannon fires to the front of the aircraft. The cannon rounds flew over 4 miles (6.4 km), with several of them striking the school. Teachers and students were absent at the time. No one was injured.

Westecunk Creek is an 11.1-mile-long (17.9 km) tributary of Little Egg Harbor in southeastern New Jersey in the United States.The name is derived from Lenape, meaning "place of fat meat." Westecunk Creek originates in the Pine Barrens. Its mouth in West Creek(Eagleswood Township) is a few miles north of Tuckerton.

The Edwin B. Forsythe National Wildlife Refuge is a U.S. National Wildlife Refuge located in southern and south-central New Jersey, along the Atlantic coast, north of Atlantic City, in Atlantic and Ocean counties. The refuge was created in 1984 out of two existing refuge parcels created to protect tidal wetland and shallow bay habitat for migratory water birds. The Barnegat Division (established in 1967) is located in Ocean County on the inland side of Barnegat Bay. The Brigantine Division (established in 1939) is located approximately 10 miles (16 km) north of Atlantic City along the south bank of the mouth of the Mullica River. The two divisions are separated by approximately 20 miles (32 km). The refuge is located along most active flight paths of the Atlantic Flyway, making it an important link in the network of national wildlife refuges administered nationwide by the U.S. Fish and Wildlife Service. Forsythe Refuge is a part of the Hudson River/New York Bight Ecosystem and The New Jersey Coastal Heritage Trail Route. The refuge is named for Edwin B. Forsythe, conservationist Congressman from New Jersey.

The Little Egg Harbor Friends Meeting House is a historic Quaker meetinghouse located at 21 E. Main Street in the borough of Tuckerton in Ocean County, New Jersey, United States. The meetinghouse was built in 1863. It was documented by the Historic American Buildings Survey (HABS). The building was added to the National Register of Historic Places on December 9, 2002, for its significance in architecture and religion. Little Egg Harbor Meeting is part of Burlington Quarterly Meeting which is part of the Philadelphia Yearly Meeting. Friends continue to meet at Little Egg Harbor Meeting on Sundays at 10:30 a.m. Little Egg Harbor Friends Meeting House shares its property with the Friends Burial Ground, which includes graves from the Parker, Pharo, and Ridgeway families.

Tuckerton is a borough situated on the Jersey Shore, within Ocean County in the U.S. state of New Jersey. As of the 2020 United States census, the borough's population was 3,577, its highest decennial count ever and an increase of 230 (+6.9%) from the 3,347 recorded at the 2010 census, which in turn had reflected a decline of 170 (−4.8%) from the 3,517 counted in the 2000 census.Tuckerton was incorporated as a borough by an act of the New Jersey Legislature on February 18, 1901, from portions of Little Egg Harbor Township.The borough is surrounded by Little Egg Harbor Township, but is politically independent. Because Tuckerton and Little Egg Harbor share the same 08087 ZIP code and Little Egg Harbor has no true "downtown" area, many refer to Little Egg Harbor and surrounding suburbs as "Tuckerton". Tuckerton is home to the Tuckerton Seaport, a working maritime museum and village.
