South Street Historic District (Kalamazoo, Michigan)

The Diocese of Kalamazoo (Latin: Dioecesis Kalamazuensis) is a Latin Church ecclesiastical territory, or diocese, of the Catholic Church in southwestern Michigan in the United States. It is a suffragan diocese in the ecclesiastical province of the metropolitan Archdiocese of Detroit. The mother church of the Diocese of Kalamazoo is the Cathedral of Saint Augustine in Kalamazoo. The current bishop is Edward M. Lohse.

Cathedral of Saint Augustine (or St. Augustine Cathedral) is a Catholic cathedral and parish church located in Kalamazoo, Michigan, United States. It is the seat of the Bishop of the Diocese of Kalamazoo. The parish was founded in 1856, the present church building was completed in 1951, and it was raised to cathedral status in 1970.

Kalamazoo's Old Central High School, also known as the Community Education Center, is an educational building located at 714 South Westnedge Avenue in Kalamazoo, Michigan. It was listed on the National Register of Historic Places in 1983. As of 2022, the building is home to the adult education programs of the Kalamazoo Public Schools (KPS) as well as the Kalamazoo Area Math and Science Center (KAMSC), a magnet school for high school students from 13 local school districts who excel in the areas of math and science. It is also the home of the Chenery Auditorium, one of the performance venues for the Kalamazoo Symphony Orchestra.

The Ladies Library Association Building in Kalamazoo, Michigan was the first building erected as a women's club in the United States. It was also the country's first structure owned by a women's organization. It was built in 1879 by funds raised by the Ladies' Library Association of Kalamazoo (LLA).

East Campus is a collection of buildings and facilities situated on the 60-acre (240,000 m2) hilltop campus that is the original site of Western Michigan University. It includes some of WMU's athletic facilities including Waldo Stadium, Hyames Field, Ebert Field and the Donald Seelye Athletic Center. It is roughly bounded by South Rose, South Park, West Lovell, and West Michigan Avenues. The district was listed on the National Register of Historic Places in 1983.
