It is situated on Pagidipalli–Nallapadu section and is administered by Guntur railway division of South Coast Railway zone. It is selected as one of the station to be developed under Adarsh station scheme.: 9 

Krishnapatnam railway station (station code:KAPT), is an Indian Railways station in Krishnapatnam of Nellore district in the state of Andhra Pradesh. It is a non-coaching traffic handling station and is mainly utilized for freight transport from Krishnapatnam Port. It is situated on Obulavaripalle–Krishnapatnam section of Vijayawada railway division of South Coast Railway zone.

Rayanapadu railway station (station code - RYP) is an Indian Railways station in Rayanapadu, Vijayawada of Andhra Pradesh. It lies on Kazipet - Vijayawada section of New Delhi - Chennai main line. It is administered under Vijayawada railway division of the South Central Railway zone. It is used as a bypass station to reduce congestion of the rail traffic on Vijayawada Junction.

Dr. Narla Tata Rao Thermal Power Station or Vijayawada Thermal Power Plant is located at Vijayawada in Andhra Pradesh. It is named after, Narla Tata Rao, the erstwhile chairman of the Andhra Pradesh State Electricity board. The power plant is one of the coal-based power plants of APGENCO. It is well placed between Ibrahimpatnam and Kondapalli villages.

SPNRC High School (Sri Posani Narasimha Rao Choudari High School, Telugu:శ్రీ పోసాని నరసింహారావు చౌదరి ఉన్నత పాఠశాల) is a co-educational aided secondary school. It was established on 12 August 1964 in Gollapudi beside the National Highway 9, India. It is one of the oldest schools in Vijayawada. The school was established on 12 August 1964 for VI and VII classes with 140 pupils and 3 teachers. In 1965-66 the school was upgraded to VIII class. In 1966-67 the school was further upgraded to open IV form. In 1967-68, permission was granted to open old V form and new IX class. In 1968-69, permission was accorded for opening of New X class and old SSLC. The school building was opened in 1968 by the then Chief Minister of Andhra Pradesh Sri Kasu Brahmananda Reddi, which was built at a cost of Rs.2,25,000/- on 2.8 acres of land. The donor and founder of the school Smt. Posani Naga Bhushanamma died in 1978.

Gollapudi is a commercial and residential hub located in western part of Vijayawada in the Indian state of Andhra Pradesh. S. 104 (Dated: 23-03-2017), Municipal Administration and Urban Development Department, it is a part of Vijayawada Metropolitan Area.

Gandhi Nagar or Gandhinagar, also Gandhinagaram, is a major commercial area of Vijayawada in NTR district of the Indian state of Andhra Pradesh. It is located in Gandhi Nagar mandal of Vijayawada revenue division. Vijayawada railway station was located here, as is the Pushparam Ghat reservoir, built in 1962.
