Łódź Radogoszcz Zachód railway station

During World War II, the Radogoszcz prison was a German Order Police and Gestapo prison in Łódź (German: Erweitertes Polizeigefängnis, Radegast), used by the German authorities during the German occupation of Poland in 1939–1945. Today, it is a site of the museum commemorating its wartime victims.

Zgierz County (Polish: powiat zgierski) is a unit of territorial administration and local government (powiat) in Łódź Voivodeship, central Poland. It came into being on January 1, 1999, as a result of the Polish local government reforms passed in 1998. Its administrative seat and largest town is Zgierz, which lies 9 kilometres (6 mi) north-west of the regional capital Łódź. The county contains four other towns: Ozorków, lying 16 km (10 mi) north-west of Zgierz, Aleksandrów Łódzki, lying 9 km (6 mi) south-west of Zgierz, Głowno, lying 24 km (15 mi) north-east of Zgierz, and Stryków, lying 15 km (9 mi) north-east of Zgierz. The county covers an area of 853.71 square kilometres (329.6 sq mi). As of 2016 its total population is 165,206, out of which the population of Zgierz is 56,929, that of Ozorków is 19,809, that of Aleksandrów Łódzki is 21,380, that of Głowno is 14,534, that of Stryków is 3,477, and the rural population is 49,077.

Zgierz [zɡʲɛʂ] (listen) is a city in central Poland, located just to the north of Łódź, and part of the metropolitan area centered on that city. As of 2021 it had a population of 54,974.Zgierz is situated in the Łódź Voivodeship (since 1999); previously it was in Łódź Metro Voivodeship (1975–1998). It's the capital of Zgierz County.

Gmina Zgierz is a rural gmina (administrative district) in Zgierz County, Łódź Voivodeship, in central Poland. Its seat is the town of Zgierz, although the town is not part of the territory of the gmina. The gmina covers an area of 199.05 square kilometres (76.9 sq mi), and as of 31.12.2007 its total population is 11,766. The gmina contains part of the protected area called Łódź Hills Landscape Park.

Zgierz is a main railway station for the town of Zgierz, Łódź Voivodeship, serving two major railway lines connecting Łódź with Kutno and Łowicz, as well as being a key station of the railway ring surrounding city of Łódź.Opened in 1902, it initially served the Warsaw-Kalisz Railway section between Łódź Kaliska and Łowicz stations, but in the 1920s it was rebuilt due to construction of a line between Łódź Widzew and Kutno stations. The main station's building was built in Renaissance Revival style, same as those in Pabianice, Zduńska Wola and Sieradz. The building hasn't changed significantly until the 1980s, when the first refurbishment was made (exterior was plastered, and the interior rearranged) and 2011, when the building went under capital refurbishment. Since 2019 the station goes through another refurbishment.Currently, the station serves mostly ŁKA commuter trains running from Łódź to Łowicz and Kutno, as well as commuter routes from Łódź Kaliska, Łódź Fabryczna and Łódź Widzew stations as well. It is also a stopping point for PolRegio regional trains running between Łódź and Toruń, as well as PKP Intercity trains running from Gdynia to Katowice.

Łódź Żabieniec (Polish pronunciation: [ʐabiɛniɛt͡s]) is a railway station in Łódź, Poland, located in Bałuty district. It serves regional passenger traffic from Łódź Kaliska station to Zgierz, Łowicz, Kutno and Toruń.

Łódź Arturówek is a commuter railway station located in the city of Łódź, Poland, in Bałuty district, in the neighbourhood of Łagiewniki forest, on the circular line between Łódź Widzew and Zgierz stations. Initially opened in 1972, the station was unused from 1988 until 2014, when it was rebuilt and reopened as part of Łódź Commuter Railway (ŁKA), serving only ŁKA trains from Łódź to Zgierz.

Nowe Łagiewniki [ˈnɔvɛ waɡʲɛvˈniki] is a village in the administrative district of Gmina Zgierz, within Zgierz County, Łódź Voivodeship, in central Poland. It lies approximately 3 kilometres (2 mi) east of Zgierz and 8 km (5 mi) north of the regional capital Łódź.

The Chapel of Karol Scheibler (Polish: Kaplica Karola Scheiblera), is a major architectural work in Łódź, Poland, built in 1888 and designed by architects Edward Lilpop and Józef Pius Dziekoński. It is located in the Evangelical-Augsburg part of the Old Cemetery at Ogrodowa Street 43. Łódź is known for its architectural monuments which form a record of the city's heritage, particularly its unique nineteenth century development. The chapel and mausoleum of Karol Scheibler are noted examples of architecture from this period.

The Manufaktura is an arts centre, shopping mall, and leisure complex in Łódź, Poland. A major tourist attraction of the city, it includes the largest public square in Łódź, which acts as a venue for cultural and sports events.The Manufaktura opened on 17 May 2006, after 5 years of planning and the subsequent 4 years of construction. The total area of the complex is 27 hectares (67 acres). The work involved the renovation of an old textile factory building. The Manufaktura is located in the central part of the city, in the former industrial complex founded by Izrael Poznański, which is known also as the filming location of the novel by Władysław Reymont titled The Promised Land about the industrialization of the city of Łódź.
