Winney Grimshaw

Mount Airy, near Warsaw in Richmond County, Virginia, is the first neo-Palladian villa mid-Georgian plantation house built in the United States. It was constructed in 1764 for Colonel John Tayloe II, perhaps the richest Virginia planter of his generation, upon the burning of his family's older house. John Ariss is the attributed architect and builder. Tayloe's daughter, Rebecca and her husband Francis Lightfoot Lee, one of the only pair of brothers to sign the Declaration of Independence (Richard Henry Lee being the other brother) are buried on the estate, as are many other Tayloes. Before the American Civil War, Mount Airy was a prominent racing horse stud farm, as well as the headquarters of about 10-12 separate but interdependent slave plantations along the Rappahannock River (comprising some 60,000 acres). Mount Airy is listed on the National Register of Historic Places as a National Historic Landmark as well as on the Virginia Landmarks Register and is still privately owned by Tayloe's descendants.

Northern Neck Regional Jail is a jail in Warsaw, Virginia, which is located in Virginia's Northern Neck. The jail was completed in 1995. It employs 100 people and has a capacity of 460 inmates with its most recent addition completed in 2000.Notable inmates of the jail have included Chris Brown in 2014, Paul Manafort in 2018, Daniel Hale in 2021, and Michael Vick.

Sabine Hall is a historic house located near Warsaw in Richmond County, Virginia. Built about 1730 by noted planter, burgess and patriot Landon Carter (1710–1778), it is one of Virginia's finest Georgian brick manor houses. Numerous descendants served in the Virginia General Assembly. It was added to the National Register of Historic Places in 1969, and declared a National Historic Landmark in 1970. At the time of its National Register listing, it was still owned by Carter / Wellford descendants.

Richmond County Courthouse is a historic courthouse building located at Warsaw, Richmond County, Virginia. It was built between 1748 and 1750, and is a one-story Colonial era brick building with a hipped roof. It measures approximately 52 feet by 41 feet. During a remodeling in 1877, the original arcade was bricked up and incorporated into the main building. Also on the property is a contemporary clerk's office. The buildings were built by planter Landon Carter (1710–1778).It was added to the National Register of Historic Places in 1972.

The Chesapeake Bay Governor's School for Marine Environmental Science (CBGS) is a public regional magnet high school. Its main building is located in Tappahannock, Virginia, directed by Dr. Rachel Ball. According to the main site, "The Chesapeake Bay Governor's School for Marine and Environmental Science provides a community of learners the opportunity to explore connections among the environment, math, science, and technology -- developing leaders who possess the research and technical skills, global perspective, and vision needed to address the challenges of a rapidly changing society."

Menokin, also known as Francis Lightfoot Lee House, was the plantation of Francis Lightfoot Lee near Warsaw, Virginia, built for him by his wife's father, John Tayloe II, of nearby Mount Airy. Lee, a Founding Father, was a signer of the United States Declaration of Independence. Menokin was declared a National Historic Landmark in 1971.Historic American Buildings Survey (HABS) documentation, including photos from the 1940s, shows the house standing and reported that it was in poor condition, awaiting a restorer. The National Park Service webpage shows the house in ruins, but reports that woodwork had been removed and placed in storage in the 1960s. Although the house has partly collapsed, the Menokin Foundation has developed a plan to restore the house using glass segments to fill missing portions of the building instead of trying to restore the house to its original condition.

Rappahannock High School (RHS) is a secondary school serving pupils in grades 8–12 of the Richmond County Public Schools in Warsaw, Virginia, on the Northern Neck peninsula.

Cobham Park is an unincorporated community in Richmond County, in the U.S. state of Virginia.

Grove Mount is a historic plantation house located near Warsaw in Richmond County, Virginia, United States. The main house was built about 1780–1800 by Robert Mitchell with the profits of forced labor; by 1808, he had enslaved 76 people. It is a large, two-story, five-bay Late Georgian-style frame dwelling. It has a hipped roof and interior end chimneys. A kitchen wing was added in 1952 and an orangery added in 1989. Also on the property are the contributing late-18th century dairy, a log corn crib, and a late-19th or early-20th century frame outbuilding. There is also the archeological site of the former kitchen and possibly other outbuildings adjacent to the old kitchen.It was added to the National Register of Historic Places in 1977.
