Rashkan Castle (Persian: دژ رشکان, romanized: Dež Rashkan) was a castle in Tehran Province in northern Iran. It was located near Cheshmeh Ali, Shah-Abdol-Azim shrine and Fath Ali shah inscription (Cheshmeh-Ali). It was built during the Parthian rule of Iran.

Kiyan Shahr Metro Station is a station of Tehran Metro Line 6,. It is located at the junction of Salehi St. and Azizkhani St., two local streets in the neighbourhood of Kiyanshahr. The station primarily serves this neighbourhood, with no transit connection. The closest bus stop is approximately 300 m to the north, where lines 316 Shush Metro-Kianshahr and 318 Khorasan Sq.-Kiyanshahr run.

Rey Castle was a castle or defensive wall, located in Cheshmeh-Ali, south of Tehran and north of Rey. The castle is located above the Fath Ali shah inscription and dates back to 4000 BC in the Medes empire.

Ibn Babawayh cemetery (Persian: گورستان ابن‌بابویه or قبرستان ابن‌بابویه), also spelled as Ebn-e Babviyeh, Ebn-e Babooyeh, is located in Iran in the town of Rey (which is now inside Greater Tehran metropolitan area).

Toghrol Tower (also transliterated Toghrul, Tughrol, or Tughrul) is a 12th-century monument, located in the city of Rey, Iran. Tuğrul Tower is near Rashkan Castle. The 20-metre-tall (66 ft) brick tower is the tomb of Seljuk ruler Tughril, who died in Rey in 1063. Originally, like other monuments of its time, it was capped by a conical dome (گنبد, gonbad), which collapsed during an earthquake.The thickness of the walls varies from 1.75 to 2.75 meters. The inner and outer diameters are 11 and 16 meters, respectively. The exterior shape is that of a polygon with 24 angles in its design, which is thought to contribute to the structure's stability against tremors. At the top of the tower, Kufic inscriptions were originally observable. The tower is protected by Iran's Cultural Heritage Organization. In some texts this place is called Burj Khalifa Yazid. According to some experts' ideas, this tower is like a clock pointer and the time can be recognized by the sunshine on its congresses.

Be'sat Metro Station is a station of Tehran Metro Line 6, and currently the line's only intermediate station. It is located at the junction of 17th of Shahrivar Avenue into Be'sat Expressway, with the station's main entrance on the southern sidewalk of Be'sat Expressway.

The following census in 2011 counted 93,006 people in 26,069 households. At the latest census in 2016, the district had 84,577 inhabitants in 25,064 households.

Alayin (Persian: علائين, also Romanized as ʿAlāyīn) is a village in Azimiyeh Rural District of the Central District of Ray County, Tehran province, Iran. At the 2006 National Census, its population was 24,179 in 6,221 households. The following census in 2011 counted 24,808 people in 7,235 households. The latest census in 2016 showed a population of 21,594 people in 6,579 households; it was the largest village in its rural district.

Shahre Ray, Shahr-e Ray, Shahre Rey, or Shahr-e Rey (Persian: شهرری, romanized: Ŝahr-e Rey, lit. 'City of Rey') or simply Ray or Rey (ری), is the capital of Rey County in Tehran Province, Iran. Formerly a distinct city, it has now been absorbed into the metropolitan area of Greater Tehran as the 20th district of municipal Tehran, the capital city of the country. Historically known as Rhages (), Rhagae, and Arsacia, Ray is the oldest existing city in Tehran Province. In the classical era, it was a prominent city belonging to Media, the political and cultural base of the Medes. Ancient Persian inscriptions and the Avesta (Zoroastrian scriptures), among other sources, attest to the importance of ancient Ray. Ray is mentioned several times in the Apocrypha. It is also shown on the fourth-century Peutinger Map. The city was subject to severe destruction during the medieval invasions by the Arabs, Turks, and Mongols. Its position as a capital city was revived during the reigns of the Buyid Daylamites and the Seljuk Turks. Ray is richer than many other ancient cities in the number of its historical monuments. The Neolithic site of Cheshme-Ali, the reconstructed Median-era Rey Castle, the Parthian-era Rashkan Castle, the Sasanian-era Zoroastrian Fire Temple of Bahram, and the once Zoroastrian and now Islamic Shrine of Bibi Shahrbanu are among the many archaeological sites in Ray. Ray has been home to many historical figures, including royalty, merchants, scholars and poets. The medieval Persian scholar Rhazes, one of the most important figures in medical science, was from Ray. One of the etymologies proposed for the name of the Radhanites—a group of merchants, some of Jewish origin, who kept open the Eurasian trade routes in the early Middle Ages—links them to Ray. Ray today has many industries and factories in operation. It is connected via the rapid transit system of Tehran Metro to the rest of Greater Tehran.
