Eurowheel is a 92-metre (302 ft) tall Ferris wheel at the Mirabilandia amusement park near Ravenna, in Emilia–Romagna, Italy. It is known for its views over Ravenna and nearby beaches, and its 50,000 light bulbs are said to make it the brightest Ferris wheel in the world.When constructed in 1999, Eurowheel was the tallest extant Ferris wheel in Europe, superseding the 73-metre (240 ft) Moscow-850.Both the 94-metre (308 ft) Great Wheel, built for the Empire of India Exhibition at Earls Court, London, in 1895, and the 100-metre (330 ft) Grande Roue de Paris, built for the Exposition Universelle of 1900 in Paris, were taller, however the London wheel was demolished in 1907 and the Paris wheel in 1920.Eurowheel is now Europe's second tallest extant Ferris wheel, after the 130-metre (430 ft) London Eye, which officially opened on 31 December 1999, but which did not open to the public until March 2000 because of technical problems. Eurowheel has a 90 cm (35 in) minimum passenger height restriction.

Mirabilandia is a 210-acre theme park, located in Savio, Italy, a frazione of Ravenna, which is located in Emilia-Romagna. With a total area of 850,000 square metres, it is the biggest park in Italy.It has an area of 55 hectares, with an additional waterpark area of 12 hectares, called Mirabeach. The most notable attractions are the Katun inverted roller coaster and the iSpeed launched coaster. It has the world's tallest watercoaster, the "Divertical" with a height of 60 m. It also has the only spike dueling coaster in the world: Desmo Race. It houses the 92-metre tall Eurowheel, Europe's second tallest Ferris wheel.

Sierra Tonante (Italian for "Thundering Mountain Range") was a wooden roller coaster at Mirabilandia, Savio in Emilia-Romagna, Italy that operated between 1992 and 2007. It was designed by William Cobb & Werner Stengel and opened as Europe's tallest and fastest wooden roller coaster with the longest ride time.

Katun is a steel inverted roller coaster at the Mirabilandia amusement park, Savio, outside Ravenna, Italy. It is the longest inverted roller coaster in Europe. The coaster stands 164 feet (50 m) tall (making it the world's fourth tallest complete circuit inverted coaster), has a track length of 3,937 feet (1,200 m), a top speed of 65 mph (105 km/h) and six inversions:

Safari Ravenna is a Safari park and Zoo in Ravenna, Emilia-Romagna, Italy, created in 2012 near the amusement park of Mirabilandia; extending over an area of 340.000 square metres. There is a large area for large mammals and birds to be seen only by car or train, and a smaller traditional zoo with the Reptile section, Primates, Australian section and domestic animals.

The Basilica of Sant' Apollinare in Classe ("Saint Apollinaris in Classe") is a church in Classe, Ravenna, Italy, consecrated on 9 May 549 by the bishop Maximian and dedicated to Saint Apollinaris, the first bishop of Ravenna and Classe. An important monument of Byzantine art, in 1996 it was inscribed with seven other nearby monuments in the UNESCO World Heritage List, which described it as "an outstanding example of the early Christian basilica in its purity and simplicity of its design and use of space and in the sumptuous nature of its decoration".

Classe was a commercial port located 4 km (2.5 mi) east south east from Ravenna, Italy. It was near the head of the Adriatic coast. For almost five hundred years it was an important strategic military port. When it was not being used as a military port, it was an important commercial port for the imperial capital of Ravenna in the Roman Empire. Classe comes from the Latin word classis, meaning fleet.

Lido di Classe is a seaside resort on the Romagna Riviera and a frazione of the comune of Ravenna located north of Lido di Savio. It is bounded to the south by the mouth of the river Savio and to the north by the coastal area of Pineta di Classe and the nature reserve at the mouth of the river Bevano. The name Lido di Classe derives from the town of Classe, near Ravenna, the site of an important Roman port.

The Fiumi Uniti is a river in the province of Ravenna in the Emilia-Romagna region of Italy. The source of the river is the confluence of the rivers Montone and Ronco south of Ravenna. The river flows east 12 kilometers before entering the Adriatic Sea south of Lido Adriano.

The Savio is a river in the Emilia-Romagna region of northern Italy. Its source is in the province of Forlì-Cesena near Montecoronaro on Mount Castelvecchio which is near the western side of Mount Fumaiolo. The source is at an elevation of 1,126 metres (3,694 ft) and is marked by an iron monument. A wolf (the symbol of Montecoronaro) and the rings of the "caveja" (the symbol of Romagna) are on this monument. The river flows near Verghereto and Bagno di Romagna as it winds through the mountains before entering Lago di Quarto. After leaving the lake, the river flows northeast near Sarsina (near the border with the province of Pesaro and Urbino) and Mercato Saraceno before flowing north. The river winds for 96 kilometres (60 mi) along the valley. Its natural track has been preserved relatively well and, in the territory of Cesena, it shows an environment which is one of the purest of the whole Romagna. North of Cesena, the river crossed the border into the province of Ravenna. After a total course of 126 kilometres (78 mi) the river enters the Adriatic Sea north of Cervia by Lido di Classe and Lido di Savio. The River Savio Natural Park, 6-kilometre (3.7 mi) long around a loop which once hosted a cave, starts from the two historical bridges of Cesena. The park contains many species of animals and plants. The trees divide the area in two belts: the one near the waters contains white willows with black and white poplars; the second presents locust-trees. Although the park is relatively small, many animals are visible here, both birds (herons, king-fishers, woodpeckers and raptors) and mammals (hares, porcupines, foxes, and roe deer).

The Bidente-Ronco is a river in the Emilia-Romagna region of Italy. The first portion of the river is called the Bidente. Once the river passes under the Ponte dei Veneziani (Bridge of the Venetians) in Meldola, the river is called the Ronco. The source of the river is near the border between the province of Forlì-Cesena, the province of Arezzo, and the province of Florence in the Foreste Casentinesi, Monte Falterona, Campigna National Park. The river flows northeast through the mountains in the province of Forlì-Cesena and flows near Santa Sofia, Galeata, Civitella di Romagna and Meldola. Beyond Meldola, the river flows north near Bertinoro, Forlimpopoli, and Forlì before crossing the border into the province of Ravenna. The river flows northeast until it joins the Montone south of Ravenna, and the resulting river is known as the Uniti. The Battle of Ronco took place here.
