Anton Goreczky House

The Daniel F. Murphy House in Boise, Idaho, is a 2-story, Neoclassical structure with Renaissance decorative elements. The house features a sandstone facade and was completed in 1908 by owner Daniel F. Murphy. It was added to the National Register of Historic Places in 1982.Daniel F. Murphy, a stonemason in Boise, was responsible for masonry work in many local and regional buildings, including the Idaho State Capitol, St. John's Cathedral, the Montandon Building, Boise High School, the Owyhee Hotel, and the Davenport Hotel.

The Willis Mickle House in Boise, Idaho, is a 1+1⁄2-story Queen Anne cottage designed by Tourtellotte & Co. and constructed in 1898. The house features a prominent, left front facing gable with dormer that rises above a right front porch. The first floor outer walls are of random course Boise sandstone. The house was listed on the National Register of Historic Places in 1982.Willis and Marie (Keeffe) Mickle were married in 1898 and were original owners of the house, which the Idaho Statesman described as "a pleasing and substantial innovation in Boise building." Willis Mickle was superintendent of Capitol Electric Light, Motor and Gas Company, and he had been the electrician of the Boise volunteer fire department. The Mickles were active in local politics, and Marie Mickle served as clerk of elections for Boise Precinct No. 9. By 1916 the couple had moved to Portland, Oregon.

Longfellow School is a 2-story, brick and sandstone elementary school in Boise, Idaho, designed by Wayland & Fennell and completed in 1906. The Mission Revival building has been in operation as a school since opening, and it was added to the National Register of Historic Places in 1982.The building design featured separate entrances for boys and girls, 12 classrooms, and a basement apartment for the janitor. Longfellow School was the seventh schoolhouse constructed within the limits of Boise's Independent School District.

The Marion Allsup House in Boise, Idaho, was a 1-story, 5-room cottage designed by Tourtellotte & Co. and constructed in 1901. The house featured Colonial Revival or Neoclassical details, including narrow shiplap siding, a cross facade porch, and a pyramid roof. The Allsup House was the least elaborate design of all surviving houses from the Tourtellotte thematic group. The house was added to the National Register of Historic Places (NRHP) in 1982. The Allsup House either was demolished or renovated after its nomination and listing on the NRHP, and the current 2-story house at the site retains no similarity to the modest 1901 design drawn by Tourtellotte & Co. Marion F. Allsup was a cement and plaster contractor who worked on the Idanha Hotel, the Belgravia Building, and St. Michael's Cathedral. By 1917 he may have moved to Flagstaff, Arizona.

The Charles Paynton House in Boise, Idaho, is a 1+1⁄2-story, Colonial Revival or Shingled Colonial house designed by Tourtellotte & Co. and constructed in 1900. The house features a lateral ridge beam with side facing gables with a smaller, front facing gabled dormer window above an L-shaped porch. Contractor William Houtz built the modest 6-room cottage, and in 1901 it was considered a model of good cottages.The house was added to the National Register of Historic Places in 1982.

The W. E. Jefferson House in Boise, Idaho, is a 1+1⁄2-story Queen Anne, Shingle style cottage designed by Tourtellotte & Co. and constructed in 1907 in Boise's Hyde Park neighborhood. The house features front, right, and left gabled dormers and a cross-facade porch supported by square coffered posts. The house was added to the National Register of Historic Places (NRHP) in 1982.William and Mary Jefferson purchased property for the house in 1906 from Charles Paynton, whose house in the next block on N 8th St. also was designed by Tourtellotte (1900) and also is listed on the NRHP. The Jeffersons built a garage on the lot in 1921, and they advertised the house as a rental property in 1925.William Jefferson worked as a carpenter for Anton Goreczky at the Boise Sash and Door Factory. The Goreczky house also is listed on the NRHP.

The W.A. Simpson House in Boise, Idaho, is a 2-story Bungalow designed by Tourtellotte & Co. and constructed in 1909. Sandstone veneer covers first floor outer walls, and the second floor is veneered in stucco. The house shows a Tudor Revival influence with half-timber decorations above the sandstone. An attic dormer faces the 10th Street exposure, and the roof depends on a single, lateral ridgebeam. The house was added to the National Register of Historic Places in 1982.

The H.E. McElroy House in Boise, Idaho, USA, was designed by John E. Tourtellotte and constructed in 1901 in a neighborhood now designated the Fort Street Historic District. The brick veneer, 1+1⁄2-story Colonial design features a rectangular, symmetrical facade with a ridgebeam parallel to the street and an entry porch supported by Doric columns above flared, shingled walls. Dormers and gables are covered with square-cut and fish-scale shingles.Hugh E. McElroy was a Boise attorney who helped to organize Idaho's Progressive Party. McElroy ran for governor as a Progressive candidate in 1914, but he lost the election to Democrat Moses Alexander.

The T.J. Jones Apartments in Boise, Idaho, is a 2-story, brick and stone building originally designed in 1904 by Tourtellotte & Co. and expanded in 1911 by Tourtellotte and Hummel. The structure features a prominent Queen Anne corner turret, but Renaissance Revival characteristics also were discovered in preparation for adding the building to the National Register of Historic Places in 1982.The original design included 12 2-story apartments, and after the building was expanded in 1911, it contained 17 2-story apartments. The foundation and load bearing walls were designed for a 4-story building to be completed at a future date, but the building has remained a 2-story structure.

The Walter Abbs House, is a Queen Anne style house designed by Tourtellotte & Co. and constructed in Boise, Idaho, USA, in 1903. The five room house is part of the Fort Street Historic District, and it was included as a contributing property on November 12, 1982. It was individually listed on the National Register of Historic Places on November 17, 1982.Walter J. Abbs arrived in Boise in 1901 and formed the firm of McGrew & Abbs, abstract researchers, mortgage lenders, and insurance agents. When his business was absorbed by the Boise Title and Trust Co. in 1906, Abbs became general manager and secretary of the new firm. Abbs was an investor in Boise's Abbs Subdivision, and lots on Abbs Street and on Abbs Lane were sold as early as 1917.

The C.H. Waymire Building in Boise, Idaho, is a 2-story, cement block structure designed by Tourtellotte & Co. and constructed in 1909. The building housed Waymire Grocery, a neighborhood market.

Hyde Park, also called the Hyde Park Historic District, is a section of the North End neighborhood in Boise, Idaho known for its several popular eateries and locally owned specialty shops. Located on North 13th Street a few blocks north of Downtown Boise, the Hyde Park Historic District was added to the National Register of Historic Places in 1982.During all months of the year, local merchants host neighborhood events and activities. The biggest event Hyde Park is known for is the Hyde Park Street Fair, an annual event located at the nearby Camel's Back Park that is organized by the North End Neighborhood Association and includes vendors, food, live music, demonstrations, a children's area, and a parade.
