Spring Valley Lake is a census-designated place in the Victor Valley of the Mojave Desert, within San Bernardino County, California. It is located in Victorville on the Mojave River.

It is part of the Lewis Center for Educational Research (LCER), named for a major supporter, then Congressman Jerry Lewis. The school was first chartered in 1997 by the Apple Valley Unified School District. LCER currently operates two TK-12 campuses - the Mojave River Campus in Apple Valley, and the Norton Science and Language Academy in San Bernardino, California.

Victor Valley High School is located in Victorville, California, United States. It is the oldest high school in the Victor Valley Union High School District (VVUHSD). The original campus was located at the former Victor Valley Junior High and University Preparatory School on Forrest Avenue in Old Town Victorville, until the current campus was built in 1952. It was the first of two high schools in Victorville, with the second being Silverado High School, completed in 1996. Visible from the homeside of Ray Moore Stadium is the Victorville "V," which was placed on a hill as a landmark for the original location of the High School on Forrest Ave. Keith Gunn, then high school football coach and later principal, spearheaded the project in the 1930s, with the cement being donated by Southwestern Portland Cement Company. The Keith Gunn Gymnasium is named in his honor, while the floor is dedicated to basketball coach Ollie Butler.The grassy area in the middle courtyard of the school is the "Senior Lawn", where only seniors are allowed. The courtyard is painted every year by the seniors to reflect their class.

The Victor Valley Transportation Center, also known as Victorville station, is an intermodal transit center in Victorville, California that is served by Amtrak, Greyhound Lines, and the Victor Valley Transit Authority. The center also serves as a park and ride facility for carpooling commuters. The station building is open during service hours, with a waiting area and restrooms, but is locked on weekends.

Hesperia is a city in San Bernardino County, California, United States. It is located 35 miles (56 km) north of downtown San Bernardino in Victor Valley and surrounded by the Mojave Desert. Because of its relatively high elevation and the unique and moderate weather patterns of the region, Hesperia is part of what is locally called the High Desert. The name "Hesperia" means "western land". The 2019 census report estimates that the city has a population of 95,750.
