Hollywood Heights is a neighborhood in the Hollywood Hills of Los Angeles, bounded by the Hollywood Bowl on the north, Highland Avenue on the east, Outpost Estates on the west, and Franklin Avenue on the south. It includes a number of notable historic homes and buildings and has been home to numerous people in the film and music industries, dating back to the silent film era.

The Yamashiro Historic District is located on Sycamore Avenue in the Hollywood Hills, Los Angeles, California, United States. The villa that forms the district's centerpiece was constructed from 1911 to 1914 by artisans and craftsmen from Japan for the German-American brothers Charles L. Bernheimer (July 18, 1864 – July 1, 1944) and Adolph L. Bernheimer (October 6, 1866 – March 18, 1944) to house their collection of Japanese art and valuable items. The establishment was called the Yamashiro Hollywood, but can also be known as the Bernheimer Villa and Oriental Gardens. As the villa was located on top of a hill, it was called a yamashiro, a Japanese word that in this case means "mountain castle" (山城). The district consists of the villa, several smaller buildings (of which a number no longer exist), and landscaped gardens. The area was placed on the National Register of Historic Places in 2012.Today, the villa houses an Asian restaurant.

The Magic Castle is a clubhouse for magicians and magic enthusiasts, as well as the clubhouse for the Academy of Magical Arts. It is located in the Hollywood district of Los Angeles, California and bills itself as "the most unusual private club in the world."Only members and their guests are allowed entrance, though courtesy invitations can be obtained. During a typical evening there are numerous magic shows and historic displays, as well as a full service dining room and numerous bars. The atmosphere is reminiscent of classic night club days, and a strict dress code is enforced. Once a private residence, the Castle was declared a Los Angeles Historic-Cultural Monument in 1989. Many celebrities have performed at the Magic Castle, including Orson Welles, Johnny Carson, Steve Martin, and Neil Patrick Harris. One of the Castle's most esteemed performers was the late Dai Vernon, an expert in sleight of hand.

The Women's Club of Hollywood, also known as the Hollywood Club LA, serves as a social and philanthropic organization with close connections to the local film industry. The historic women's club sits on the former campus of the Hollywood School for Girls.

The Samuel Freeman House (also known as the Samuel and Harriet Freeman House) is a Frank Lloyd Wright house in the Hollywood Hills of Los Angeles, California built in 1923. The house was listed on the National Register of Historic Places in 1971. The house has also been listed as a California Historical Landmark #1011, and as Los Angeles Historic-Cultural Monument #247 in 1981. As an example of Wright's Mayan Revival or early Modernist architecture, the structure is noteworthy as one of the four textile block houses built by Wright in the Los Angeles area, the others being Storer House, Ennis House, and Millard House. The construction manager on site was Wright's son, Lloyd Wright. In 1986, the Freeman House was bequeathed to the USC School of Architecture. In 2005, a stabilization project was completed using a $901,000 FEMA grant and $1.5 million in school funds. A five-year program of documenting the history and condition of the house resulted in a 3200-page, seven volume set of books compiled and edited by Benjamin McAlister, Karen M. Kensek, Douglas E. Noble, and Celeste Rodriguez. Publication of the books in 2014 was supported by a grant from the Graham Foundation for Advanced Studies in the Fine Arts.

The four-story, 190-room Garden Court Apartments was a luxury apartment complex on Hollywood Boulevard in Hollywood, California. The complex was notable for its history, tenants, and luxurious nature.

Hollywood United Methodist Church is a United Methodist church located at the intersection of Franklin Avenue and Highland Avenue in the Hollywood Heights neighborhood of Los Angeles, California. Its English Gothic architecture and the giant HIV/AIDS Red Ribbon on the bell-tower have made it a prominent landmark in Hollywood. The church's facilities, in addition to housing an active congregation, are used by the private non-religious Oaks School and have been the settings for many movies including Sister Act and Back to the Future.
