Chesterfield County Government Complex

Chesterfield is an unincorporated community that is the county seat of Chesterfield County, Virginia, United States. It was a census-designated place (CDP) at the 2020 census. It was not delineated as a CDP for the 2010 census. The Chesterfield County Courthouse and Courthouse Square are listed in the National Register of Historic Places. The area is also home of the Chesterfield County Government Complex.

The Chesterfield County Courthouse and Courthouse Square is a historic county courthouse complex located at Chesterfield, Virginia. The complex includes the old Chesterfield County Courthouse, built in 1917; the county clerk's office buildings, dating from 1828 and 1889; and the old Chesterfield County Jail, constructed in 1892 and closed in 1960. The 1917 courthouse is a one- and two-story red brick structure, fronted by a full-height portico, and topped by an octagonal belfry, in the Colonial Revival style.It was listed on the National Register of Historic Places in 1992.

Castlewood, also known as the Poindexter House and The Old Parsonage, is a historic plantation house located near Chesterfield, Chesterfield County, Virginia. It was built between about 1810 and 1820, and is a long, five-part frame house that was built in at least two or three stages. It consists of a two-story, one-bay-wide central section, flanked by 1+1⁄2-story, two-bay wings, connected to the main block by one-story, one-bay hyphens. Also on the property is a contributing frame, pyramidal roofed structure with a coved cornice that may have housed a dairy.It was listed on the National Register of Historic Places in 1976.

The Magnolia Grange is a historic mansion located across from the Chesterfield County Courthouse in Chesterfield, Chesterfield County, Virginia. This brick plantation house was built in 1823, and is a two-story, five bay, brick dwelling in the Federal style. It is known for its elaborate woodwork and ornamental ceiling medallions.The house was restored in the 1970s with Zuber scenic wallpaper of a hunting landscape that was installed in the front hallway. Magnolia Grange was listed on the National Register of Historic Places in 1980.The plantation house is operated as a historic house museum by the Chesterfield Historical Society.

Lloyd C. Bird High School is a public high school in Chesterfield, an unincorporated community in Chesterfield County, Virginia, United States. It is part of Chesterfield County Public Schools and is located at 10301 Courthouse Road. It is named for former Virginia state senator Lloyd C. Bird.

The Swift Creek Rail Bridge was a granite and iron truss bridge over Swift Creek in Virginia. The Tidewater and Western Railroad included a bridge over Swift Creek that had been built by an earlier railroad company, the Clover Hill Railroad. The bridge was used during the whole time the four railroad companies operated rails over the bridge. The metal on the bridge was sold as part of foreclosure of the final company in 1917.

It is owned by Chesterfield County.Although most U.S. airports use the same three-letter location identifier for the FAA and IATA, Chesterfield County Airport is assigned FCI by the FAA but has no designation from the IATA.

Centralia is an unincorporated community located in Chesterfield County, Virginia. The community is situated at the intersection of Virginia State Route 145 and State Route 144. It was so named because it was located at the midpoint of the old Richmond and Petersburg Railroad, later the Atlantic Coast Line Railroad and today owned and operated by CSX. A historical marker was erected in 2014 by The Department of Historic Resources which says: "In 1867, the African American members of nearby Salem Baptist Church separated and founded Salem African Baptist Church. The new congregation held worship services under a brush arbor before constructing a building here on a one-acre tract deeded in 1869 by members of the mother church. The congregation soon changed its name to First Baptist Church (Centralia). Early in the 20th century, members erected a large new sanctuary incorporating elements of the Gothic Revival and Colonial Revival styles. Razed by fire in 1996, this structure was rebuilt to original specifications in 1997, In 1963, the growing congregation moved two miles east."

Meadowbrook is a census-designated place in Chesterfield County, Virginia. The population as of the 2010 Census was 18,312. It is named after the old Meadowbrook Farm owned by the Jeffress family, which later turned into the Meadowbrook Country Club (Chesterfield County, Virginia).

Meadowbrook High School is a high school located in Chesterfield County, Virginia. The school is home to the International Baccalaureate Program and Meadowbrook's Academy of Digital Entrepreneurship (M.A.D.E.) Specialty Centers. The school has one of the most diverse student bodies in the state and region with students representing over 60 nations.

Defense Supply Center, Richmond, or DSCR, serves as the Aviation Demand and Supply Chain manager for Defense Logistics Agency. It is located on the I-95 corridor in Chesterfield County, Virginia in the Southside area of the Greater Richmond Virginia. The installation comprises 631 acres (2.55 km2) that was the Bellwood farm and was opened in 1942. Originally activated as the Richmond General Depot, the site was later renamed the Richmond Armed Service Forces Depot, which became the Richmond Quartermaster Depot. In its first two decades, the mission of the Richmond Quartermaster Depot was one of traditional logistics support to the U.S. Army with emphasis on Quartermaster items. When the Military General Supply Agency was activated in 1962, it absorbed the Defense Supply Agency. This resulted in an expanded mission for the depot, which included supply management of more than 30,000 general supply items for the military services and certain civilian agencies worldwide. The installation name changed to Defense General Supply Center to match its new logistical mission. In 1977 Defense Supply Agency became Defense Logistics Agency. In 1986, depot operations were separated from inventory control point functions and a separate command was established on the site: Defense Distribution Depot Richmond. DSCR's core mission is to supply products with a direct application to aviation. These items include a mix of military-unique items supporting over 1,300 major weapons systems and other items readily available in the commercial market. They range from critical, safety-of-flight air frame structural components, bearings, and aircraft engine parts, to electric cable and electrical power products; lubricating oils; batteries; industrial gases, bearings; precision instruments; environmental products; metalworking machinery and consumable items. DSCR also operates an industrial plant equipment repair facility in Mechanicsburg, PA. There is a small herd of elk on the backside of the post. When the Army bought the land on which the post is located, the former owners asked the Army to care for these animals, and the post has done so ever since.

Pocahontas State Park is a state park located in Chesterfield, Virginia, United States, not far from the state capitol of Richmond. The park was laid out by the Civilian Conservation Corps along the Swift Creek, and at 7,919 acres (32.05 km2) is Virginia's largest state park. In 2015, the park welcomed 1,142,601 visitors.The park is named after Chief Powhatan's daughter Pocahontas.
