CIND-FM, branded as Indie88, is an FM radio station in Toronto, Ontario, Canada, broadcasting at 88.1 MHz. The station, which broadcasts an adult album alternative format, had its "soft launch" on July 31, 2013, and had its official launch on September 3, 2013.The station is the first entry into the Toronto market for Central Ontario Broadcasting, which also owns CFJB-FM and CKMB-FM in the outlying city of Barrie. Indie88, as the station is branded, places a priority on on-air and online interaction with its audience.Indie88's offices and studios are located on Hanna Avenue in Toronto's Liberty Village, while its transmitter is located on top of First Canadian Place in Toronto's Financial District.

CKIS-FM (92.5 MHz) is a Canadian radio station in Toronto, Ontario. Owned by Rogers Radio, a division of Rogers Sports & Media, the station broadcasts a Top 40/CHR format branded as KiSS 92.5. The station was founded on January 26, 1993 as CISS-FM under the ownership of Rawlco Communications in the "New Country" format. CISS was acquired by Rogers Communications on February 26, 1999, and was rebranded first as Power 92, then Kiss 92.5 as a top 40 station, but the station was renamed to 92.5 Jack FM on June 4, 2003 with the call letters CJAQ-FM under a jockless adult hits format before abandoning the concept in 2006 and played classic rock music. The current iteration of "Kiss" was relaunched on June 5, 2009. CKIS studios are located at the Rogers Building at Bloor and Jarvis Streets in the northeastern corner of downtown Toronto, while its transmitter is located atop First Canadian Place.

CJBC-FM is a public radio station, broadcasting at 90.3 MHz in Toronto, Ontario, Canada. A French-language station, it airs the programming of Radio-Canada's Ici Musique network. CJBC's studios are located in the Canadian Broadcasting Centre, while its transmitter is located atop First Canadian Place in Toronto's Financial District. The station launched on November 3, 1992. It is a sister station to CJBC, which is part of the Ici Radio-Canada Première network. In December 2017, CJBC-FM added an HD Radio feed to broadcast high-quality digital radio signals throughout much of Toronto. CJBC-FM has retransmitters in Windsor and Paris (Kitchener/Waterloo).

CIRV-FM is a Canadian radio station, broadcasting at 88.9 FM in Toronto, Ontario. The station airs a multicultural programming format. CIRV's studios are located in Brampton, while its transmitter is located atop First Canadian Place in Toronto's Financial District. Matching sister stations CKYE-FM and CKYR-FM, it rebranded itself in 2019 as RED FM with Red standing for Reflecting Ethnic Diversity. The station's main channel predominantly carries musical programming in Punjabi, Hindi, and Urdu.

First Canadian Place (originally First Bank Building) is a skyscraper in the Financial District of Toronto, Ontario, at the northwest corner of King and Bay streets, and serves as the global operational executive office of the Bank of Montreal. At 298 m (978 ft), it is the tallest building in Canada, the 31st tallest building in North America, and the 105th tallest in the world. It is also the third tallest free-standing structure in Canada, after the CN Tower (also in Toronto) and the Inco Superstack chimney (projected to be demolished) in Sudbury, Ontario. The building is owned by Manulife Financial Corporation (50 per cent) in addition to a private consortium of investors including CPP Investments. The building is managed by Brookfield Properties.

CFXJ-FM (93.5 FM, 93.5 Today Radio) is a commercial radio station in Toronto, Ontario. Owned by the Stingray Group, it broadcasts an adult hits format. Its studios are located on Yonge Street at St. Clair Avenue in Toronto's Deer Park neighbourhood. CFXJ was Canada's first Black-owned radio station. From its launch through 2022, the station aired various urban and rhythmic formats. CFXJ has an effective radiated power (ERP) of 1,058 watts (3,706 watts peak). The main transmitter is located atop First Canadian Place in Toronto's Financial District. There are plans for booster stations in Mississauga and in Toronto's North York neighborhood, also on 93.5 MHz.

The Mail Building, later known as the Mail and Empire Building was built in the 1870s and home to the newspaper The Toronto Mail (later merged with the Empire to form The Mail and Empire) at the northwest corner of Bay Street and King Street West. It was damaged by a serious fire in 1884, but fully repaired. The 4 storey building was topped with a 5-storey spire. The building was sold for $600,000 in May 1938. A month later, its demolition was announced. The building was demolished in 1939 and replaced with a new Bank of Montreal building. The podium of First Canadian Place stands on the original site.

The Canada Permanent Trust Building (now known as "The Permanent") is an 18-storey office building located at 320 Bay Street, in downtown Toronto. It was designed by the architect Henry Sproatt and completed in 1930.

The Financial District is the central business district of Downtown Toronto, Ontario, Canada. It was originally planned as New Town in 1796 as an extension of the Town of York (later the St. Lawrence Ward). It is the main financial district in Toronto and is considered the heart of Canada's finance industry. It is bounded roughly by Queen Street West to the north, Yonge Street to the east, Front Street to the south, and University Avenue to the west, though many office towers in the downtown core have been and are being constructed outside this area, which will extend the general boundaries. Examples of this trend are the Telus Harbour, RBC Centre, and CIBC Square. It is the most densely built-up area of Toronto, home to banking companies, corporate headquarters, high-powered legal and accounting firms, insurance companies and stockbrokers. In turn, the presence of so many decision-makers has brought advertising agencies and marketing companies. The banks have built large office towers, much of whose space is leased to these companies. The bank towers and much else in Toronto's core are connected by a system of underground walkways, known as PATH, which is lined with retail establishments making the area one of Toronto's most important shopping districts. The vast majority of these stores are only open during weekdays during the business day when the financial district is populated. During the evenings and weekends, the walkways remain open but the area is almost deserted and most of the stores are closed. It is estimated 100,000 commuters enter and leave the financial district each working day. Transport links are centred on Union Station at the south end of the financial district, which is the hub of the GO Transit system that provides commuter rail and bus links to Toronto's suburbs.

The EY Tower (formerly known as the Ernst & Young Tower and 100 Adelaide Street West) is a skyscraper in Toronto, Ontario, Canada at 100 Adelaide Street West. The building was designed by Kohn Pedersen Fox and WZMH Architects.

The Bank of Montreal Building was a 16-storey office tower located at the northwest corner of King Street and Bay Street in Toronto, Ontario. It was the secondary headquarters of the Bank of Montreal after its head office in Montreal. Architects Chapman and Oxley designed the building in 1938 and construction began that same year. After the outbreak of World War II in September 1939, construction halted with only three storeys completed. Following the War, the design was revised, construction resumed, and the building opened in 1948. The Bank of Montreal Building stood only 27 years before being demolished in 1975.

The Toronto-Dominion Centre, or TD Centre, is an office complex of five skyscrapers in the Financial District of downtown Toronto owned by Cadillac Fairview. It serves as the global headquarters for its anchor tenant, the Toronto-Dominion Bank, and provides office and retail space for many other businesses. The complex consists of six towers and a pavilion covered in bronze-tinted glass and black-painted steel. Approximately 21,000 people work in the complex, making it the largest commercial office complex in Canada.The project was the inspiration of Allen Lambert, former president and chairman of the board of the Toronto-Dominion Bank. Sister-in-law Phyllis Lambert recommended Ludwig Mies van der Rohe as design consultant to the architects, John B. Parkin and Associates and Bregman + Hamann, and the Fairview Corporation as the developer. The towers were completed between 1967 and 1991. An additional building was built outside the campus and purchased in 1998. As Mies was given "virtually a free hand to create Toronto-Dominion Centre", the complex, as a whole and in its details, is a classic example of his unique take on the International style and represents the end evolution of Mies's North American period.
