Gulf Medical University (Arabic: جامعة الخليج الطبية) (GMU) is a private medical university in Ajman, United Arab Emirates. Established in 1998, it is one of the largest private medical universities in the Middle East region. It has various programs in medicine and health sciences. Thumbay Moideen is the Founder, President of Board of Trustees of Gulf Medical University. It is owned and promoted by Thumbay Group. Hossam Hamdy is the Chancellor of GMU. GMU has six colleges and 26 accredited programs. Gulf Medical University is accredited by the Commission for Academic Accreditation (CAA), the UAE Federal Government's quality assurance agency for higher education.

The Emirate of Ajman (Arabic: إمارة عجمان; pronounced [ʔɪmaːra(t) ʕaʤmaːn]) (Gulf Arabic: إمارة عيمان emāratʿymān) is one of the seven emirates of the United Arab Emirates. It joined the United Arab Emirates federation on December 2, 1971. It has an area of 259 square kilometers (100 sq mi), which makes it the smallest of the emirates in terms of area, while its population of approximately 504,846 in 2017 according to the Federal Competitiveness and Statistics Center makes it the fourth most populous emirate in the country. It is named after the city of Ajman, which is its seat of government. The main landmass of the emirate is a semi-enclave, surrounded on the north, east, and south by the Emirate of Sharjah. Located on the coast of the Persian Gulf, Ajman also controls two small inland exclaves: Manama and Masfout, both of which are primarily agricultural. Approximately 95% of the population of the emirate resides in the city of Ajman, which forms part of the Dubai-Sharjah-Ajman metropolitan area. Ajman is ruled by Sheikh Humaid bin Rashid Al Nuaimi III of the Na'im tribe. The Crown Prince of the emirate is Sheikh Ammar bin Humaid Al Nuaimi.

Ajman University (Arabic: جامعة عجمان) was established on 17 June 1988 as the first private university in the GCC. Ajman University (AU) was also the first university in the UAE to admit expatriate students under the institutional name "Ajman University College of Science and Technology," which was subsequently renamed "Ajman University of Science and Technology". In 2018, it was again renamed to "Ajman University". Ajman University is located in the Al Jurf area, close to Khalifa Hospital in Ajman. The 215,000 square meter (2.3 million square feet) campus has sports facilities (football, basketball, track and field, swimming), a gymnasium, a bookstore, health unit, restaurants, and mosques. Its standard academic year is divided into the fall (August) and spring (January) semesters; it also has one summer semester (June). Hamriyah Port is deep water seaport and ancillary facilities located in the Hamriyah Free Zone in Sharjah, United Arab Emirates. The port is administered by the Department of Seaports and Customs, Government of Sharjah. The port is part of a free trade zone for companies and a center for export and re-export to other world markets. Principal deepwater port activities include petrochemical exports, general cargo and two container terminals with alongside berth depths of 14 metres. An inner harbour with berth depths of between five and seven metres provides supporting services include ship repairs, dry docks and minor ship building.

The International Indian School is an English medium school and was founded in 2002 in Ajman, United Arab Emirates. The school is recognized by the Ministry of Education, U.A.E. and affiliated to the Central Board of Secondary Education, New Delhi. In 2018 all 143 students who sat the grade 10 CBSE exams passed. The School is part of global International Indian Schools including International Indian School, Riyadh, International Indian School Jeddah. The Al-Ameer English School is an English medium school that was founded in 1991 in Ajman, United Arab Emirates. The school is accredited by Central Board of Secondary Education, New Delhi and has the recognition of the U.A.E.'s Ministry of Education. The school first opened in 1991 in a villa in Rumaila, Ajman. Unfortunately, In 2004 the school moved to its present spacious campus. The school grew over the years to have sections for KG, Primary and Secondary education. Male and female students have separate instruction.The principal, Mr. S.J Jacob, received best teacher award from President Of India in 2014.The school has a line of records to its credit in achieving 100% results in Grade X and XII Board Examinations. The school has a course curriculum structured by the CBSE Board for Secondary and Higher Secondary. From Kindergarten to class XII, it admits pupils in various classes in each of its academic years. The academic session of Al-Ameer English School starts from the month of April. The admission criteria differ according to the class in which a particular student wishes to get admitted. An admission test is generally conducted by the school authority to admit the students in various classes. City Centre Ajman (Arabic: سيتي سنتر عجمان) is a shopping mall in the emirate of Ajman, United Arab Emirates (UAE), which is owned and operated by Majid Al Futtaim. With 34,000 m2 (370,000 sq ft) of retail space and 10.5 million yearly visitors, it is the largest mall in the emirate. It is located on Al Ittihad Street (E11), in the district of Al Jurf, off Sheikh Khalifa Interchange and north of Sheikh Maktoum Bin Rashid Road. The mall has 79 international and local brands including Ajman's Carrefour hypermarket, VOX Cinemas, Magic Planet along with 18 dining outlets.

Global Indian School (formerly Indian School Ajman) is a private Indian K-12 school in Ajman, United Arab Emirates, established in 1988. The school is recognized by the UAE's Ministry of Education and affiliated with the Central Board of Secondary Education in New Delhi, India.Indian School Ajman was recognized as one of the best schools in the UAE by EW Global School Rankings, 2019.The Principal, Malathi Das, was awarded the CBSE's Teacher of the Year award in 2002.

Ajman Specialty General Hospital is located in Ajman in the United Arab Emirates. The hospital offers out-patient services and covers a wide range of specialties and it has more than 170 employees.

Al Hamriyah is the name of a coastal settlement of Sharjah on the northern perimeter of the United Arab Emirates. It is one of nine municipalities of the emirate, and is wedged between the emirates of Ajman (south) and Umm Al Qawain (north). It is notable for its lagoon popular with pleasure boaters and jet skiers as well as local fishermen who moor here, as well as store and repaire both rope and wire mesh fishing nets. The village is not to be confused with the Hamriyah Port and Free Zone, which lie immediately to the south of it. It has traditionally been home to families belonging to the Darawishah section of the Al Bu Shamis Na'im, linked through this relationship to the area of Sharjah bounding immediately to the south of Ajman, Al Heera. These would be associated with the modern Emirati family name Alshamsi.

Al Rawda, also known as Rawda Ajman or simply Al Rawda 1 and Al Rawda 2, is a populated residential area situated in the Ajman district of the north-west area of Emirate of Ajman, in the United Arab Emirates. Al Rawda 1 is a part of the city near the Ajman border. Al Rawda has a well-connected roadway near the Persian Gulf coast, Ajman beach, 16 kilometres from Sharjah International Airport. The area is 35 kilometres from Dubai. Al Rawda is a popular commercial city as many shops, grocery stores, restaurants and commercial properties are set up in the area.

The Ajman Museum (Arabic: متحف عجمان) is a national museum located inside the Ajman Fort in the city of Ajman, United Arab Emirates. The museum includes several sections that offer a compelling glimpse of Ajman's past, including archaeology, manuscripts, folk costumes, souvenirs, and more. The museum displays are annotated in both Arabic and English.It is housed in an 18th-century fortress that was used as a stronghold for the Emirates leadership and as the first line of defense. Earlier it was the ruler's palace and then it was converted as the Ajman police station. When the fort was renovated two wind towers and two watchtowers were maintained. A massive gate and two cannons can be seen on the front of the fort. The museum tells about the local history and heritage, the place highlights various aspects of the past. The Ajman Museum with displays of lifestyle and traditional professions includes a huge collection of archeological artifacts, manuscripts, and old weapons as well as displays of medical and religious practices are on display.One of the most famous displays is an excavated cemetery discovered in the Al Muwaihat area, which features pottery and funeral jewellery dating back as far as 3000 BC. This was a former fishing village, Ajman also relied heavily on pearl fishing and there is a section specifically devoted to what was once one of the most important pastimes in the region.
